Sakusa was the ace spiker for Itachiyama Academy, a heavy favorite to win the nationals. He was one of the top three aces of the country, along with Kiryū and Ushijima, and the only second-year among them. During his high school years, he attended Itachiyama Academy and was known as one of the top three aces in the nation. He appeared to be popular among his school mates as many came to cheer him on in his games. Personality:
Sakusa appears to be calm and collected but very competitive and proud at the same time. He doesn't react much even when he scores the final point for a match, but when he finds a player whom he deems as a threat to himself, he focuses intensely on the player. He was also quite irritated when Kageyama said he seemed average despite his reputation. Sakusa is described as a very cautious player, who may analyze a toss before spiking, and this trait manifests itself in his daily habits as well. He claims to be a realist, which explains why he asks so many questions so he can assess situations. Sakusa is a germaphobe, evident by the fact that he wanted to bathe first 'before anyone else contaminated the bath with their germs.' As such, he wears a mask to protect himself when not playing volleyball. He strongly dislikes crowds and would go to the back corner of the room or an uncrowded place when there are too many people around him.

Sakusa has black, wavy hair and two moles on the right side of his forehead. When not in-game, he wears a white mask over his mouth because of his fastidious tendencies.

What it's like to date them:
I feel like it would be pretty fun, a relationship filled with plenty of happiness and a lot of great and funny memories. A relationship where people feel as if yal spend so much time together that you should be annoyed but yet somehow you aren't. You two fit together like you were meant to be always. It's like nothing could possibly separate you, and even during volleyball season you still show up to every single match possible. You two love each other very much and nothing could change that. You both act hella childish but also serious it's strange but also cool.
