Kyotani is a second-year wing spiker from Aobajohsai High. Before high school, Kyōtani played volleyball at Minamisan Junior High (#4). It is revealed that he has not played with the Aobajohsai team outside of a few practice matches due to his uncooperative attitude. According to the coach, Kyōtani is a slow-starter who requires a lot of support to get going. He seems to do recklessly dangerous plays with no regard for game situation, such as knocking teammates over to spike the ball out of bounds with Karasuno at set point even though it wasn't tossed to him just to vent his frustration of not starting.
Personality:
He is extremely strong, and he can only hit the ball with his full strength or he "doesn't feel satisfied." He is also shown to display some violence as he shoves multiple characters throughout the show knocking them to the floor on some occasions. He is seen to be hot-tempered and always has a frown on his face. He's said to have the best ability among the second years at Aobajohsai High, but his brash attitude is cause for poor relationships with other members of the volleyball team. He doesn't have much respect for anyone besides some.
Features:
Kyōtani is an easily identifiable character, particularly due to his short-cropped blond hair with two stripes running across the sides of his head, just above the ears. He is one of the shortest members of the team though this usually gets overlooked because of the rest of his appearance. His eyes are sharp and appear fierce and hostile and he has small eyebrows. He is mostly always seen with what can be described as a mad or upset look on his face which got him his nickname "mad dogg" which was given to him by one of his teammates.

Relationships:
I feel he'd want someone who's as tough and almost acts the same as he does. Someone who shares the same interests as him and someone who's not afraid to take control if needed. A powerful girl/boy who isn't afraid to speak their mind and not care of the consequences. A carefree person who doesn't care about anyone but themselves and rarely gets mad but if they do it's baddd.
What it would be like dating them:
Mother fucking hell storm. that's all. HELLSTORM. F bombs being through everywhere and a lot of screaming and yelling and him getting mad and you getting mad and yelling and then you both yelling at each other. Everyone would say it's a toxic relationship but really it's just yalls personality and it's how you show your love for one another. Y'all have your cute moments but mostly it's yelling and making fun of each other.
