I got up out of bed and decided today I would walk to school instead of driving to get some exercise since I have been lazy these last couple days
I got dressed and grabbed my book bag walking out the door towards my road, saying goodbye to my dog on the way out
Once I got onto the road I started walking towards the school while listening to music on my phone for entertainment during the long walk
I looked down at my phone for a second while crossing a road then next thing I knew there was a car about to hit me
I didn't have time to react but before it hit I heard someone say "WATCH OUT Y/N" as someone pushed me out of the way causing me to fall onto the sidewalk on the other side of the road
Once I hit the ground I closed my eyes, slowly passing out from hitting the ground too hard.
After a couple hours I finally woke up in a hospital bed with my family surrounding me and one boy who I had no clue who he was
I had seen him around school but yet never caught his name or even talked to him a lot unless we had a project to do for class or something
I lifted my head up and smiled softly "t-thank you for saving me back there, I owe you one..." he cut me off "my names Nishinoya" he said with a soft smile
Everyday I was in the hospital after that he came to check on me and make sure I was okay and we slowly became friends
Once I got released finally we hung out at my house and throughout the rest of the year we became even closer as I went to every volleyball game and hung out with him almost every day
Who knew that almost getting yourself killed would help you find one of the nicest and most genuine souls known to man
