It has been a few days since the accident and Alan was determine to won't leave Lucas alone. He was constantly by the little boy's side, apologizing and bugging him. Just like right now.
' Lucas...... ' Alan whines and follows Lucas around like a lost puppy. ' Alan..... ' Lucas annoyingly mimic him. Alan pouted and sat beside him during English class. ' Stop it. You're testing my patience. ' Lucas grumbles.
' I won't unless you say you'll forgive me. ' Alan grins slyly. A real small matter of case, this pair manage to make it big. Lucas wants to scream out that he'd already forgive him,but then he wouldn't see Alan anymore would he? Of course not, he wouldn't want to take the chance. Not especially when he enjoys the Asian's company so much.
So he ignores Alan cries of protest and looks straight at Mrs. Elly, focusing on his work for now. 'How about I take you on a date? ' Lucas almost choke from his saliva when he heard that. 'What?? ' Alan shrugs his shoulder like it's no big deal. It really isn't, is it?
' What do you mean what? I'm taking you on a date. ' Alan states, his tone even more positive now. ' Are you even gay? ' Lucas blunders out, praying for the answer that will be coming from Alan's mouth. ' Are you? ' Was all he got back.
Come on, Alan's not foolish, he knows where this is going to take him. But without a conclusive answer, he's better not to test his luck. ' I ask you first. ' Lucas retorts back. ' Does it matter? ' Alan was giving obvious signs that he does not want to answer the question. But little oblivious Lucas was too wrap up in his own thinking to understand it.
' Whatever. ' He grumbles, unhappy and tries to wave the awkward atmosphere off. Alan wasn't much help either cause all he did was remain quite and doodle on his workbook. Lucas lightly bits his lip and silently curse himself in his head. Did I say something wrong? Was I too straight forward? Did I invade his sensitive area? What should I do now?
The questions swirled in his head, making him doubt himself second by second. He unconsciously shrink himself smaller until he was practically curled up in a ball on the chair. Alan noticed Lucas's sudden odd change of behavior and his dirty hand snaked it's way towards the boy's torso. Giving it a pleasant squeeze as a small smile forms on his face.
' Hey it's alright. I'm not offended or anything. Your question just caught me off guard. That's all. ' Alan explains quietly to avoid any unwanted attention in the classroom. Though he'd assured that he was okay, Lucas still can't help but feel uncertain. Alan did not elaborate. Hell, he didn't even answer the question! Judging from his position now, with his eyes trained on the whiteboard, his grip on the pencil that scribbles fast, Lucas doubt Alan is even going to answer him.
Both boys were once again involve in pure silence. Only a few creaking wooden tables and chairs, pencil lead scratching on the paper, and a few soft snores were heard in the haunted class. Lucas move his chair away from Alan a little, generously giving the other boy enough space. This went on for approximately an hour before the school bell went ring!!!!!
' Okay class. That's all for today. Don't forget your homework now. I want an at least four -hundred words long essay about " Bullying and harassment among the LGBT youth " by next week. Now I want each and everyone of you to take this seriously. This ain't something funny so I don't want to see anyone of you handing me a " Gays are disgusting " base essay. I will personally have you called over to my office and you're going to get it from me. Capisce? '
Mrs. Elly said it slow but loud. Each word clear and threatening. The whole class chorus a ' Yes, Miss. ' and flooded out of the class. Lucas and Alan were walking side by side, but their destination this time isn't the same anymore. Lucas is heading towards Chemistry in the lab whereas Alan's the gym.
