Aaron sits down on the lonely bench, making sure he's far away from the cafeteria. He's scared. He's nervous. He's mad. There is so much emotions twirling in his head now, all except happiness.
He watches as students walk pass him. A few couples holding hands, students reading and studying. While he basically just...... sits there doing nothing but letting the music blast into his ears.
Just then, he felt someone sitting beside him. The person touches his shoulder making him took his earbuds off. ' Hey. ' Sera greets him with a kind smile. ' Oh hey. ' Aaron sat up nicely and turns his body towards the girl.
' I was just wondering why you're sitting all alone. Aren't you supposed to be in cafeteria having lunch? ' Sera ask politely. ' Ah..... Well I'm kinda not hungry. ' Aaron lies. Sera was about to take it as an answer but Aaron's stomach suddenly growls.
Now this is awkward...... Aaron lets out a nervous laugh while Sera frowns and shake her head. ' Not hungry huh? ' She teases.
Aaron scratch the back of his head and felt his cheeks redden. ' I'm sorry..... I just.... wanna leave the crowd for a minute. ' Still, that's not everything. Sera opens the lunch box she had packed before school and inside reveals two medium size Dorayaki wrapped in plastic.
' Here. Have one. ' She passes the red bean flavor one to Aaron earnestly. ' What? No no!! I can't have it. It's your lunch. ' The boy quickly declines though the food looks really tempting. ' It's alright, Aaron. I couldn't finish it anyway. ' Sera doesn't wait for Aaron's reply and quickly stuff it into his open mouth.
Sera giggles at Aaron's cute scowl and opens her own lunch.
' Why aren't you with Lucas and your friends? ' Aaron ask after a few minutes of comfortable silence. Sera didn't face him but stares up at the clear blue sky. ' I don't know..... I just..... want some time away from them I guess.... ' Sera replies unsurely, causing Aaron to raise his eyes browns at her.
They didn't talk much after that. To Sera, sharing a pair of earbuds with Aaron, listening to songs while eating Dorayaki is even better than having to sit on the small picnic mat under the shady three.
Recess ended soon, much to Sera's disappointment. Aaron thoughtfully thanked Sera for the delicious lunch and even decided to take her to her class first.
' Again. Thanks for lunch. It's very nice of you. Well... I gotta go soon. See ya. ' Aaron waves goodbye and turns to leave. ' Wait wait. ' Sera quickly took the startled male's hand and hands his a pen and paper.
' Can I....... can I have your number? ' Sera ask shyly.
Aaron was iced for a couple of minutes but quickly shook it off. ' S...sure. I guess. ' He whisper out the last part. He would be lying if he said he's never been in this kind of situation before. Truthfully, a lot of girls had ask for Aaron's number. Some trying to flirt with him, thinking as if they have a chance.
The boy gives Sera a fake smile and left without another word. He hates it whenever someone does that. He doesn't like to be a good gentleman and reply to every message the girls sent. He could just ignore it..... but he wouldn't because it's rude.
Though leading the girls on isn't any better but..... Aaron strongly thinks ignoring them is worse. Such a soft lamb.
The stress up male sat down on the chair, ready for Chemistry class but of course..... which day of his is ever this smooth. Marcus frantically stood up from his seat and practically runs towards Aaron.
