17. You are my Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Yesterday, you were a dream
I wanted to reach so bad
My feelings were all that I had
You're all I think of at night
You're the most beautiful sight

I've always looked at you from afar
Just like the brightest star,
You always have the brightest smile
And although I know it's not mine,
In my eyes, you still shine

When will our stars align?
I was always asking
Am I too boring?
Or was it because I was too daring?
Your feelings, I could never define

But today, you are my reality
No more falling accidentally
No more feelings of uncertainty
Because this time I can assure
That this love will not be torture

You showed me love that can endure
Through thick and thin,
You are my cure
Your love is always so pure,
I'd never imagined it'd be this mature

You've given me strength
For you, I can go to any length
In you, I found my place
Our memories I will never erase
We'll be sure to finish this race

Tomorrow, you are my future
We'll share a great adventure
Although we can never be so sure
Of the things the future might offer
Need not worry, I'm a keeper

It might still be a long way
To get what we both pray,
But I hope your heart will never go astray
You can count on me never to betray
This I promise, although it's a bit cliche

There'll be times you might want to stop
Sometimes it will get really tough
Sometimes love will be so rough
Sometimes it will all feel like a bluff
But even so, I hope you'll trust me enough

You are my yesterday,
Today and tomorrow
I have loved you since long ago,
I will continue to love you everyday
And I will not lose you in any way
I promise you, I'll stay.
