Third Person Pov
After capturing Stain, the four were sent to a hospital to get treated. They were all placed in the same room, having separate beds on each corner to rest.
While Midoriya and Iida looked fine, Shoto couldn't help but worry at the still unconscious Kaiyo. She had bandages wrapped around her arms and legs, along with her stomach.
There were bruises and cuts, but her suddenly using so many things took a toll on her body. She wasn't careful about controlling herself either that she broke a rib.
"Todoroki-kun,"
Midoriya and Iida weren't stupid. Shoto's worry for the latter was swirling around the hospital that it was too easy for them to notice it. "She will be okay." Midoriya smiles comfortingly.
"She was way too reckless last night." He scoffed. "She always is. She should do something about it."
"You seem pretty angry when she suggested manipulating herself." Iida tilts his head to the side. His arms were wrapped in casts, and a sling was supporting both arms. "And what was it about her paralyzing herself?"
Shoto figured that they practically knew about the newly discovered skill Kaiyo can do with her quirk, so he tried to explain with what he knows himself. "She had never done it before, but there was a chance that she can." He said. "Controlling inner body parts. The risk of paralyzing herself when she does it for the first time is high since she lacks info about her health. I didn't want her to end up like that forever."
Another thing the two were not stupid to notice is the heterochromatic's growing feelings for the girl. It did not take a genius to know. Shoto probably shows more than he would actually intend to when it comes to Kaiyo.
It was only a matter of time until he realizes it himself.
Midoriya was surprised by the new found information. Another thing to add to his notebook of quirks later on. Kaiyo surely has an interesting quirk that seems to be limitless, but it was obvious that it exhausts her to a certain extent.
"So we'll leave all this to Endeavor, huh?" He changes the topic. "At least we won't be punished further with that."
"How come Kaiyo doesn't get punished?" Iida asks.
"He gave her permission to follow us." Shoto sighs. He looks down at his bandaged arms. "She has a lot of explaining and apologizing to do."
"Take it easy on her." Midoriya sweat drops.
The three stopped talking when they heard shuffling from Kaiyo's corner. Their eyes went to her figure, and sure enough, she was moving to sit up on her own.
Shoto jumps from his hospital bed and gently pushed her back down to lay on her back. "Shoto? Where am..."
"We're in the hospital. You're fine." He said. "The doctors took a check on you earlier and they will have to talk to you, but other than that, you're okay."
It showed that she was still confused, but she didn't ask any further. Realizing that they were not the only ones inside the room, her eyes jumped at the sight of her bandaged classmates. "You guys okay?" She asks.
"We should be asking you that." Midoriya laughed. "We're fine, Kaiyo-chan. Thanks for helping us."
"It's nothing, really."
"I apologize to the three of you."
Iida suddenly stands from his bed and bowed a full 90 degrees to show his apologies. "I was reckless and driven by my anger when I found the hero killer. I should've done better."
