"Someone already passed the moment the exam began?!"
"Whoever that student is, we should look out for them on the second test!"
Kaiyo ignored the whispers she heard from the other examinees still taking the test as she made her way to the waiting room. Her head was hanging low to keep her face hidden from them. The white light from her targets were the telling them that she's already done with the exam.
If they were to see her face, then she might only cause attention to herself when the second exam comes. That was the least she wants to happen.
The second test is still unknown to her, after all.
Meanwhile, Todoroki was hiding in the industrial area while looking out for possible students to defeat. He only needs to defeat two.
He knew that acting alone is risky, and there will be a higher chance of other schools ambushing him, but he believes in his own strength. The only thing he finds annoying about it is the possibility of someone having a quirk that he will be weak against.
"Let's see. Things have been moving pretty quickly. There are currently 52--no, 53, people who passed the exam. Hurry up! Hurry up!" He heard Mera's voice through the speakers around the arena.
"Kaiyo's surely the first one who passed." He chuckled to himself. "She already mastered how to use Total Control."
The moment his girlfriend begins to think seriously over a situation, she will be able to reverse them in a flash. Whether she's in danger or she's still recovering from her slight trauma days ago, her judgement and critical thinking was never clouded with fear.
She simply goes for it.
But that also caused the birth of her recklessness and selfless behavior.
"Standing around won't do me good." He sighed. "I need to find other examinees soon."
He began running through the maze of metal structures and large pipes, searching for any sign of other students roaming around the area.
Just as he was about to turn to a corner, he sensed an incoming ball heading for him and used his left hand to deploy fire. It slowed the momentum of the ball and fell on the ground, rolling towards him until it hit his shoe.
"As expected of the runner-up of the UA Sports Festival."
He looks at the cylindrical structures in front of him and saw ten students wearing different colors of ninja uniforms standing atop.
"Todoroki, was it? Can't believe you're acting alone, though. You're amazing." The one wearing a red uniform, who also seems to be the group's leader, said with a smirk hidden under his mask.
"But even if he is from UA, acting alone will get him in trouble, don't you think?"
They were acting way too confident just because of their number. Todoroki knew that this kind of situation will happen at some point, but seeing their confidence means that they have a way to hold him down.
They are a group of ten and he's alone. If they opted to have all of them pass, then they would have gone for a larger group for all of them to have points.
It was planned.
They wanted to find him.
"Thank you, for saving me the trouble of finding you."
"Aren't you so cool?" The red-clad student smirks.
Four of them threw balls towards Todoroki at the same time, only to have it blocked by a wall of ice just a few inches taller than him. With his hand still on the ground, he controls his quirk to freeze all ten by their feet and took out one of the balls he had.
