Kaiyo's Pov

The next day, just right after I moved in Heights Alliance, was the day for our provisional license exam. I couldn't confidently say that I am prepared to go through it. Not only did I miss the training, but I also lost my quirk for a full two days before it returned. My body might not be able to keep up to my past movements.

"If you can pass this test and get your provisional licenses, then you will grow from novice eggs into chicks. Do your best." Aizawa-sensei told us just after we got off the bus to the exam location.

I looked around to see many other schools arriving, and there were also second-years, as I can see it.

"Nervous?" Shoto asks from beside me.

"Kind of." I chuckled. "This is a first. I have to be more careful this time."

"Alright, I'll become a chick!" Kaminari exclaims.

"Let's all call out the usual! Ready, set--Plus--"

"ULTRA!"

Along with Kirishima, someone, a tall guy from a different school shouted along the school motto. He somehow looks familiar. I think I saw him somewhere before.

"Don't barge into other people's huddles, Inasa."

When I looked over his shoulder, three people wearing the same uniform as the Inasa guy were trailing behind him. One had purple hair, another had hair all over, and the girl with big lips.

She looks suspicious, but who am I to pry if she were from another school?

I just have to be careful around her in case I clash with her during the exam.

"I am very extremely sorry!" Inasa apologizes with a bow that let his head meet the concrete down below. I winced a little when I heard the colliding, and when he rose, there was blood dripping down his forehead.

"Wait, those uniforms are..." Jiro trails off.

"UA in the east, Shiketsu in the west." Bakugo scoffs.

So these students are studying at UA's supposed-to-be rival when it comes to the hero course?

"I just love UA so much! It is an honor to compete with UA students!" He exclaims with--passion?

"Ah, I remember you!" He suddenly points a straight finger at me.

"Uhm, what?"

"Watanabe Kaiyo! Your quirk is so strong and you can use it very well. It was an honor being able to compete with you!"

My eyebrows furrowed.

Compete?

If I were to compete with this guy before, then it must be from the assessment in school.

Wait, I remember him now.

He was Shoto's competition during the race segment of the exam.

"Ah, Yoarashi Inasa?" I chuckled. "Nice to see you again."

"I hope to see you later! You are an opponent worth my time."

He leaves with the rest of his peers after saying that, but I saw him glare when he saw Shoto standing just beside me. And when I looked at the heterochromatic, he was glaring back.

What the hell is up with these two?

"Ah, Kaiyo-chan! How are you friends with everyone?" Mineta whines.

"I'd prefer acquaintances rather than friends." I chuckled. "We never really talked before."

"Yoarashi Inasa," Aizawa-sensei mumbles.
