Kaiyo's PoV
It took me awhile to get to the research facility, but I think I found it after asking many people around. It was so embarrassing. I probably looked like a lost puppy around this big island while walking around.
Since the hotel was provided by David Shield himself, I didn't have to worry about scheduled check-ins. I will figure that out later. I need to know more about this first before enjoying the entire island.
I knocked on the door that the staff led me to, stating that it was David Shield's office in this building. The security around this place is no joke either. They had to scan my entire body for me to be able to get inside to make sure that I am not carrying anything dangerous. The invitation was asked from me, too, just to make sure that I really am a guest for the reception party later tonight.
"You must be Watanabe Kaiyo."
I looked up from my feet, finally noticing that the door was slid open to reveal a brown-haired male with glasses over his blue eyes. Based on his features, he must be in his early forties or thirties. I couldn't really tell, but he seems like one who has a family. That was enough for me.
"David Shield?" I asked awkwardly. "Sorry, my flight arrived an hour ago, but I only found the facility at this time. I got a little lost."
"It's alright. There's no need to apologize." He chuckled. He moved to the side to let me inside. "Come. Your Aunt Hana told me a lot about you."
I smiled back in response, taking a step forward inside his office. He urged me to sit on the other side of the table where he sat. I only did as told and placed the envelope on the flat surface of the table.
"I assume that you're here because of the note your aunt left you?" He asks.
"Yeah. I didn't really know about it until awhile ago, and I only opened the document a few days back." I pointed to the envelope. "I was quite surprised of what I found out. It isn't exactly something a fifteen-year old would expect."
"I understand why you feel that way. That is a lot to take in, but there is no need for you to worry." He smiled. "After all, I am here to help you. Before we proceed, how are you feeling?"
"What...do you mean?"
He seems a little hesitant of what he was about to ask, but I only urged for him to continue with his question. "Your Aunt Hana's parting must be devastating. I only want to ask if you're doing well these days."
"Ah," I chuckled. "Yes, thank you for the concern. I am slowly recovering from it, and I have many people to rely on at this time of my life, so there is no need for you to worry. I will be alright."
"That's good to hear." He nodded. "Now, if we may proceed, may I take a look on the letter she left? Just for me to know what exactly she told you."
"Sure,"
"While I read it, I will have you run a few tests to check on the condition of your quirk too." He points to a door connected to another room. I only nodded back in reply. Aunt Hana did say that he is the best person to help me if I were to reach the point of discovering more about my quirk without her.
I need to put my trust on him to be able to know more about myself.

After the testing, I wore my hero uniform once again and met up with Professor David back in his office. I see him scanning his eyes on the document that I gave, a laptop placed on the table.
I go to sit on the chair across him.
"So, you already know that the government sealed your quirk, huh?" He hums.
