Ship: Grian and Impulse)

It was a hot day in the jungle and Impulse  was casually on his way to Grian's base because he needed some TNT. He knew for a fact that Grian always had some lying around and he would, of course, leave him a bit of payment in his base. As he approached the gigantic manison though he noticed Grian flying out of a small hole in the ground. The smaller hermit rushed behind a few trees in a rush and Impulse was very confused for a second until he heard the fammiliar sound of TNT blowing up.

Suddenly the ground below him burst open due to the explosions and the shock waves send him flying towards the ground at an alarming speed. He managed to change his course towards the lake on the other side of the staircase and was now bracing himself for the impact. As he collided with the water he felt his breath being knocked out of his lungs and he startet panicking. A thousand thoughts began rushing through his head while he tried to breach the surface again. The lake wasn't really deep but his elytra and his armour were dragging him down and keeping him from swimming up. And if that wasn't bad enough his feet even got tangled in some plants and lily pad roots. His vision slowly started to fade and a flash of hope shot through him as his hand breached the shurface, but now he was to weak to swimm further up and so he slowly sank back down to the ground. The last thing he saw was something red diving into the water and coming toward him. His vision went dark and he expected to wake up in his bed again a few seconds later, but instead he woke up on the grass, coughing violently and puking up water.

Someone stat next to him and slowly rubbed circles on his back as the rest of the water left his lungs and his stomach. Impulse was trembling violently and even though the jungle was hot, the icy winds of the mountains behind the mansion made him feel incredibly cold.
Exhausted he let himself fall back on the grass and looked up at his savior for the first time. Grian was leaning over him. His hair and his clothes were wet and he was panting lightly.
Impulse blushed slightly as the thought of Grian giving him CPR crossed his mind.

Impulse found Grian incredibly beautiful. The way his freckles and his dark eyes perfectly contrasted his light skin and his dirty blonde hair where always breath taking to him. And his, slightly to big, red turtle neck sweater made him look absolutely adorable. The only thing that bothered Impulse right now was the look of worry on the smaller mans face. Why was Grian so worked up about this, Impulse was fine now and he could have respawned if he did die. So what was the matter?

"Grian are you oka-" Impulse was cut of by grian hugging him tightly. "Thank god you're okay!" The smaller man said and Impulses confusion only grew.

"I'm gonna' have to get you inside before you catch a cold!" Grian said and he didn't leave Impulse any chance to protest as he was already pulling him on his feet an guiding him towards his hobbit hole. He brought Impulse to his bedroom and laid him on the bed tucking him in. The the small hermit rushed of again to get some soup. He came back only to see Impulse trying to get out of bed again and pushed him back down onto the matress.

"Grian I'm not getting sick trust me!" He said but sneezed loudly right after. It made Grian chuckle slightly."Impy you need to rest or else you'll make it worse." He said calmly as he gave Impulse the soup. The latter startet blushing at the nickname Grian gave him and accepted the soup without anymore complaints.

"I think you are getting a fever! Your face is already really hot." Grian said as he put a hand on Impulses flushed head.
"Im going to get some Ice from Etho I'll be right back!" He said as he rushed out. Impulse simply smiled as he let his head fall back onto the pillow and closed his eyes. His body was still exhausted from almost dying and so he slowly drifted of into the wonderful land of dreams.

.

It's been a few days since Impulse fell into the lake and he developed a really bad fever. And although he enjoyed staying with Grian he didn't want the other to get sick too. He already asked him multiple times to just leave him the medicine and the ice, so that he could take care of himself, but Grian always refused. The only thing he was willing to do, was wear a mask that covered his mouth and nose, but he wouldn't leave Impulses side.

"Grian you really don't have to do this you know?" Impulse said and coughed. "I know but I want to!" Grian said with a pout.

Over the last few days Impulse had been able to notice small details about the builder that were almost unnoticeable if you just interacted with Grian casually. One of those things was that he always seemed to have different songs that he would sing depending on the situation. If he was stressed his tone would be quicker and if he was happy his songs would be about his shenanigans and pranks. He even thaught his bird to sing along! Impulse was Impressed by that and he really enjoyed it when the smaller man just sat next to him humming with professor beak on his shoulder. It was so realxing that he almost always fell asleep when listening.

Right now Grian was changing the ice on Impulses forehead and the latter had his eyes closed and looked like he was sleeping, but Impulse was wide awake, he just enjoyed the company of the smaller hermit and expected to feel new ice on his forehead, when he suddenly felt a soft pair of lips kiss it instead.

His eyes shot open and his face flushed as he stared at Grian in disbelief. Did he just imagine that? No he didn't, he realized that when he saw grians surprised face. The two were just staring at each other, eyes wide open and faces a deep crimson.

"I'm so sorry I thought you were asleep! I- I didn't mean to I'm so, so sorry!" Grian quickly started apologizing but was cut of by Impulse pulling the mask over his mouth again and giving him a kiss on the lips. Grians eyes widened again and he looked at Impulse, confusion written all over his face. Impulse laid down again and smiled slightly, the blush still visible on both of their cheeks.

"Wait what does that mean? Why did you do that?" Grian asked still very flustered. Impulse only chuckled slightly.
"That means that I like you. I- uh- I actually have for a long time and I never knew how to tell you. I just suddenly thought that it might be the right time now and I don't know what came over me." He said slightly panicking. After all this could also be a coincidence and Grian could still refuse him. But to Impulses relief Grian startet smiling and suddenly he even cried, making the taller hermit panick a bit.

"WHA- I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you cry, are you okay!?" He said in a panicked voice.
"No, no I'm fine. Its just that, I'm so happy!" Grian said chuckling slightly. He gave Impulse a big hug and accidentally dropped his mask. He gave Impulse annother kiss but was quickly shoved away when the sick hermit noticed the lack of the mask.

"Dammit Grian you're gonna get sick!"

-------------------
"ACHOOO-" Grian sneezed loudly as he was scolded by his boyfriend. Impulse had fully recovered and was now taking care of him just as persistently as he did a few days ago.

"I told you to keep that hecking mask on but no! You just had to kiss me without it and now you have the results!" Impulse scolded and Grian smiled. "Well it's your fault for getting sick to begin with and I was just so happy! You can't possibly blame me for that!" He said faking to pout while Impulse tried to feed him soup.
