Lauren pov
There I stood. In the middle of a kook party. Music was blasting through the speakers, and people were drinking like tomorrow never would exist. I guess that is why I came here. I had a shitty day and needed to let lose.
"Hey Lauren." A voice said behind me. I broke out of my thoughts and turned around.
"Hi Rafe. Topper." I said giving them a nod. They weren't really my favorite people. Rafe slung his arm over me.
"What is a beautiful girl like yourself doing at this party with no date?" He asked with a quirked brow. He was clearly trying to be smooth but it wasn't working.
"I have a date." I stated looking up to him and moving out of his hold. I didn't have a date actually.
"Oh really? Who?" Topper asked taking a step towards me.
"Myself." I blurted out. Rafe and topper starting to laugh. I rolled my eyes at their behavior and went to leave.
"Wait. Wait. Can we show you something?" Rafe asked. He put on this nice attitude and seemed to actually want to show me something. I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I gave him a nod of yes and followed them outside.
"So what are going to see?" I asked as we trudged through the sand. Maybe there was more alcohol back here, or an animal?
"Just wait. It's a surprise." Topper said and kept on walking.
"Here." Rafe said. A few trees and bushes sat in the sand.
"You brought me here to show me trees?" I asked putting my hands on my hips. These boys are so stupid.
"Ya something like that." Topper asked and took steps towards me. I backed away every time he took a step. Rafe started to follow his actions. What is going on? Where they gonna beat me up?
"What are you guys doing? Stop." I said confused and annoyed. My back hit one of the many trees. I took a glance around and saw no one near us. The party was way down the beach from us.
"See Lauren. We just can't do that." Rafe smirked and grabbed a bag from the ground. He pulled out a piece of rope.
"What the fuck?" I mumbled confused. "Guys your scaring me what are you doing?" I asked them nervous. I wanted to just run away but topper was to close to me and would catch me if I ran.
It all happened so fast. One minute I was standing and the next I was on the ground and my hands tied behind my back; connected to the tree.
"Guys what are you doing?" I asked scared. I kept pulling and pulling on the rope trying to get lose but it wouldn't budge.
"Shh Lauren. Just wait." Topper snickered and looked back at Rafe. Rafe quickly walked over to me and started to undo his belt.
"Rafe what the fuck are you doing?" I said scared. Where they gonna hurt me? Someone has to come by and see us right?

JJ pov
"So Kiara?" I asked John B as we walked down the beach. We were bored so we walked around some of the island.
"What about her?" He asked shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Do you like her?" I questioned cautiously. John B stopped walking and looked at me. I stopped also a couple steps in front of him. He just shook his head at me.
"I mean I like her as a friend..." he said trailing off. Real believable John B.
"Right." I scoffed and laughed.
"Stop!" A voice screamed throughout the night; stopping John B and I conversation.
"Please!" We heard again.
"What the?" I asked looking around. It was dark on the beach. I could see people and a faint glow from a party down the beach a ways.
"JJ this way." John B said and started to walk more inland.
We started to hear cries and shuffling.
"Hey what the fuck!" I heard John B scream. I ran over to him. Rafe and Topper were bent over a girl.
"Get off her!" I yelled and shoved the boys away. I punched Rafe in the face while John B took care of topper.
I punched, kick, slapped, even kicked in the groin I was so mad at what he did to this girl. I still didn't see her faceted but it was clear that they were assaulting her. Once the boys ran off I turned back to the girl.
She was tied to a tree crying and shaking.
"Hi, I'm John B. We aren't gonna hurt you." He said getting down to his knees. He kept his calm and slowly got closer to her. She tried to push herself back but the tree stopped her. When I got a good look at her face I realized it was Lauren. We had many classes together in school. I've always kind of had a crush on her but she didn't seem to be into me very much. I knew she was close with Kiara also. Whenever Kiara wasn't with us, she was with Lauren. Sadly though, Kiara never brought Lauren to hang out with us.
"Lauren right? It's me JJ." I said getting down her level. John B started to cut her ropes.
"You remember me? We went to school together and Kiara is your friend." I said slowly. I didn't want her to freak out or get scared from us two. She gave me a nod that she remembered me. I smiled lightly at her.
"John B we need to take her to the hospital." I tell him as we help her stand. He gave me a nod and turned to Lauren.
"Lauren is that ok?" He asked.
"Y-ya." She mumbled out clutching into my arm.

Lauren pov
JJ and John B rushed me to the hospital as quickly as we could.
"Please you gotta help her!" JJ said frantically to the lay at the front desk. She looked at us concerned.
"What happened?" She asked looking at me.
"I-I um." I tried to say.
"She was assaulted." JJ said quietly to the front desk lady. Her eyes went big and she immediately called a nurse or doctor? I wasn't really listening.

"Hi Lauren, I'm Dr.Smith. Is it ok if I check your vitals?" He asked me cautiously. Every single person who's been in this room as been nervous and cautious around me. I guess because of what happened.
"Ya, but I assure you I'm fine." I said trying to leave. I just wanted to go to sleep.
"Well in your case we normally have the patient stay the night. So I'm sorry to inform you but you're gonna be here the night." He said checking the bruises on my arms. I let out a huff. I didn't want to be here!
I started to get more tired as the doctor went on and looked at me. Once he left I immediately laid down and fell asleep. I didn't care if the boys were still there or not. I needed sleep.

JJ pov
I sat there the whole night. Holding her hands and rubbing small circles with my thumb on her hand. She was asleep now but I could tell earlier she didn't want to be asleep here. She wanted to go home. I don't blame her but I had to make sure that she was ok.
I had sat there looking at the bruises form on her arms. She started to make a weird noise. I sat up and quickly looked at her heart monitor. It was perfectly normal. I watched as tears slid down her cheeks as she slept. She was having a bad dream.
"Lauren." I said to get her to wake up. "Lauren." I said louder this time. She woke up with a start and looked around the room. I could tell she was panicking.
"It's ok now. Your at the hospital." I told her squeezing her hand. She gave me a nod but kept crying slightly.
I could she was shocked to see I was still there and hadn't left her.
"JJ. John B." She says quietly. John B, who had also been awake the whole time quickly came over next to me. "I um. Thank you. I-." She was trying to say but started to cry again.
"Shh it's ok. I know. I know." I said holding her in my arms as she cried. "There's no need to thank us ok? We will always protect you from them." I told her. I felt her give a little nod against my chest.
"John B could you wait outside for a moment?" I asked him. He seemed confused for a second but agreed anyways and left.
"Lauren." I said and pulled her away from me so I could wipe her tears .
"I need to tell you something." I said to her.
"I need to tell you something to." She said holding my hands.
"Ok you go first." I told her.
"Ok. Well. I like you JJ. I've had a crush on you for years now." She said lowly. A tint of pink showed on her cheeks. She was blushing.
"Really?" I asked in shock. She liked me back! "I've had a big crush on you for years too." I told her smiling at her. A big smile came across her face. We slowly started to lean into each other. Soon, our lips met. I swear I could feel fireworks in my stomach. I've wanted this day to happen forever.
"JJ could you maybe stay? Till I get to leave the hospital." She said.
"Of course." I said and climbed in the bed next to her.
"I think I'm falling in love with you." I told her as I looked up at the ceiling. I laid on my back with one arm around her, as she laid her head in my chest, our legs tangled together.
"I think I'm falling in love with you too." She said. I could feel her smile. I think I was already in love with her though. But that wasn't important right now. Right now, and forever, I needed to keep her safe and protected. And of course love her.
