ELENA WATCHED AS BELLA GOT OUT OF THE FAMILIAR GREY CAR WITH EDWARD CULLEN. she was angry that the girl hadn't answered any of her calls or returned any of her messages, but she felt a slight relief now knowing she was safe. she wondered how the whole "i know you're a vampire" thing went, she shook her head taking in the surroundings.
she rolled her eyes, watching everyone's eyes trained on the new couple. her eyes caught the honey gold ones she grew to love, only for them to quickly pull away from the eye contact. she felt a pang in her chest, jasper was ignoring her and she didn't know why.
she faced back to her group, listening to the conversation. she smiled, truly taking in the moment. the way austin's deep dimples showed as he laughed at tyler's horrible joke. or the way owen ran his hand through his mid length black hair ever so often, trying to keep it out of his face. she even enjoyed the way lauren and herself bickered over the smallest things. sure, lauren had her moments but elena grew to like the cold girl.
they all walked their separate ways, to their classes hearing the familiar bell ring. elena had her earphones in, drowning out the rest of the students with a familiar melody. she hummed along, pulling the door to her first period open to be greeted to an almost empty classroom, only a couple bodies littering it.
she took her seat, and took out the stuff she would need for the lesson of the day and laid her head down, waiting for mr.varner to start off the day. she was so tired, she just wanted to get the day over with.
she furrowed her eyebrow, feeling someone's eyes on her. she lifted her head up only to be met by alice's sweet smile, almost sympathetic. elena was confused, wasn't she just ignoring her? she wasn't sure if she wanted to be petty or just brush it off. but alice was just so sweet, she probably had a good reason.
elena smiled back ignoring the protests her brain was giving her and took her earphones out, giving the middle aged man in the front of the room her attention.

very much like her first period, elena felt the eyes of the pale boy seated next to her on her, she ignored them.
much to her luck the teacher spoke, "okay class, we will be doing a partner project on the civil war. before you ask, no you cannot pick your partner. you will do this assignment with the person seated next to you," elena huffed, "for the remainder of the class take information from the books around the classroom that you would like to include in your project and make a schedule for what days you'll meet up. it is due in exactly a week, no excuses,"
the classroom broke into instant chatter, jasper and elena being the only silent ones. she wasn't going to be the first one to speak, she knew it was immature of her but she could care less.
without a glance towards jasper's way, she got up to grab one of the books around the classroom.

elena marched towards the table with the familiar brunette, not wasting a second to grab her and drag her out of the cafeteria and into the school yard.
"so what? you didn't think to text me back? por dios isabella estaba muy preocupada por ti, yo pensando que te mato y nomás llegas a la escuela con ese pelos rojos como si nada," god isabella i was so worried for you, i was over here thinking he killed you and then you just show up to school with red hair over there like nothing happened elena rambled, not paying attention to the confused look on bella's face.
"woah, calm down there," elena have the brunette a 'are you serious' look, "i have no idea what you just said but i'm sorry, i lost track of time with edward and my phone died" bella shrugged her shoulders slightly, giving the girl infront of her a small smile.
elena sighed and gave her friend a hug, "i thought you died you stupid bitch," bella laughed, "how did it go with eddy boy?"
bella looked at elena with a slightly more serious look on her face, not sure what to tell her friend. it wasn't her business to tell but she felt bad not giving elena an explanation.
"well he didn't deny it," she looked down at her feet. elena felt her eyes widen slightly, she had began to believe the conspiracy just a little but she was expecting to be let down. bella looked up at her friend, smiling awkwardly, "soooo yeah,"
"omg that's like crazy, wait are they all.. you know?" she asked, bella caught her lip between her teeth and slowly nodded.
"woah, that explain why they all look like greek gods," elena said, "do they have like.. powers,"
"they're incredibly fast and strong," bella replied adjusting her sweater, "they also have really incredible sense of hearing so it's good we're out here,"
the black haired girl nodded slowly, "well i, don't know how to feel," she clapped her hands. bella lightly laughs, agreeing with her. the two walked into the cafeteria, where the cullen table was empty. they parted ways, walking to their different tables.
"what was that about?" tyler looked at the girl sitting down, taking a bite of his sandwich.
elena shook her head, "nothing i just had to talk to her about something personal."
owen and tyler looked at eachother then back at her, "about what,"
"doesn't matter," she smiled at austin as he gave her a dirty look when she took his orange slices. the two guys continued to ask about the conversation that took place outside, not giving up.
"i asked her for a fucking pad, there, happy?!," she angrily smiled at them. lauren laughed, watching as the boys' faces turn red and quickly quiet down.
"hey elena, i'm going prom dress shopping, wanna come with me" lauren popped an apple slice in her mouth. elena's mind instantly went back to the night a couple days ago, feeling uneasy. she tried her best to not show her discomfort and shrugged slightly, "sure"

"bro you look fucking hot," elena practically yells as lauren came out of the dressing room with yet another dress on, "no seriously oh my god you look so good, you have to get this one!"
lauren looks into the mirror, twisting and turning, looking at her body from different angles. the red dress hugged her body tightly from the top and had a slit in the long skirt that showed her pale legs.
"i dont know, dont you think the back is too exposed," she turns around for elena to see. the back was bare besides the thin material that worked as straps. the hispanic girl shook her head, "no no it looks so good, if you don't feel comfortable in it then don't get it but i think you look smokin"
the girl walked back into the change room and changed into her own clothes, elena getting up to follow her to the front where a girl around their age was working at the register.
"what about you? what are you going to wear?" lauren asked her, taking her credit card out of her wallet as the cashier scanned the dress.
" one-twenty-four with sixty four cents, go ahead and swipe your card," the cashier gently folded the dress and put it into a plastic bag with the store name printed in black letters.
"i have a dress already," they thanked the girl and walked out into the gloomy weather. they walked across the street to the ice cream parlor.
"cookie dough is disgusting," elena grimaced at the cone in her friend's hand. lauren rolled her eyes and flipped her off.
"are you going with austin after all?"
the black haired girl licked her ice cream, "i dont know if i want to go yet. prom just doesn't sound too appealing to me you know,"
lauren nodded, "well if you are going are you planning on going with austin?" elena shrugged at the question. she probably would go with austin, she didn't have anyone else to go with. of course she doesn't need to go with someone, at the end of the day she would be going with austin as friends, nothing more.
the girls continued their conversation till the sun went down, enjoying each other's presence even if they wouldn't admit it. it felt nice to talk without any guys around.
