THE TEEN WOKE UP AT SIX-THIRTY TO THE SKY LOOKING GREY AND HER MOTHER MAKING BREAKFAST DOWNSTAIRS. she groaned feeling the nervousness in her stomach already forming. she stared at the ceiling for the next five minutes trying not to fall back asleep.

"ELENA YA TE LEVANTASTE? SE TE VA SER TARDE" elena are you up? you're gonna be late she heard her mother's loud voice from downstairs.

"YA ME ESTOY ARREGLANDO MAMI" i'm already getting ready mom she replied getting up and walking out into the skinny hallway and into the bathroom with her phone in her hand.

she looked in the mirror and made a peace sign with her hands and puckered her lips. she chuckled, grabbing her purple toothbrush and toothpaste. brushing her teeth, she texted riley a good morning text and that she'll call her at lunch or when she got home. she spit the toothpaste out and swirled water in her mouth, spitting out. she scrubbed her face with the foamy face wash and rinsed it off with cold water. the water hitting her face made her feel refreshed and clean.

she headed back to her room to do her makeup. a simple look, foundation, concealer, a bit of eyeliner and highlight, nothing too fancy.

"fuck" she muttered looking frantically for her makeup brush "it was literally here two minutes ago" she gave up and used a different brush, realizing it was getting late.

she brushed her pre straightened black hair out, tucking the front pieces behind her ears. she nodded, satisfied with her look and grabbed her clothes.

Elena decided on a black dress that hugged her curves perfectly with her favorite fishnets and her white combat boots. she wore silver rings on, almost, every manicured finger and a single  silver chain around her neck.

"you look hot bitch" she stared into the mirror, snapping a picture and sent it riley. her phone dinged almost instantly.

'you look fucking sexy bruh, boutta have all those vampires on you' Elena smiled at her screen typing a quick thank you and grabbed her black backpack along with her headphone and signature perfume.

the smell of pancakes filler her nostrils, she smiled. her mom only made pancakes on special days, well she only cooked on special days.

"huele delicioso mami" it's smells delicious mom she set her bag on counter and grabbed a plate, stacking two pancakes on top of eachother. she dumped the sweetened condensed milk on the pancakes, moaning with delight.

"apúrate que ya son las 7:20 y todavía tengo que firmar unos papeles" hurry, it's already 7:20 and i still have to sign some papers her mom said sipping on her coffee. elena only nodded and continued to inhale the pancakes, not taking a sip of milk till she was done.

she put her plate in the sink and grabbed her bag. following her mom out of the door and into the black car, the knot in her stomach making her wish she didn't eat those pancakes. she plugged her earphones into her phone and let the voice of luke hemmings calm her down.

they arrived at 7:40, the parking lot full of teenagers looking at the new car strangely. Elena held her head high and tried to look as calm as possible and not like she wanted to cry and tell her mom to drive her back home. the pair got out of the car and headed into the building, the teenager only looking forward and ignoring all the eyes on her.

the office was warm, unlike the chilly weather outside making elena get goosebumps due to the sudden change.

"hi are you the new student?" a nice old woman smiled at adriana and elena.
