THE SOUND OF A CONSTANT BEEPING WOKE THE YOUNG GIRL UP. she groaned turning her phone off.
"fuck" she realized she not only fell asleep with her makeup on, but she didn't do her homework. she quickly got up and grabbed the biology paper out of her bag, running downstairs to give to her mom. "sign this please, im gonna go get ready"
she ran into the bathroom hitting her toe on the doorframe. she winced, grabbing her toe and hit the counter a few time trying not to scream. she looked in the mirror with a disgusted look as she looked at her raccoon eyes.
"well my skin hates me" she grabbed the face wash from the cabinet and rubbed the foamy soap on her skin. she moisturized her face and brushed her teeth.
heading into her room, and into her closet, she decided to wear a blue plaid skirt that reached her mid thigh and a white tanktop with her white slip ons.
she decided to give her face a break and not wear any makeup. grabbing her chapstick out of her makeup basket, she heard her mom scream something from downstairs but couldn't make out the words. she shrugged, grabbing her stuff and heading down stairs.
"te vas a ir con eso?" you're wearing that? her mom questioned with a confused look. elena nodded and reached for the poptarts in the kitchen closet. popping a piece of it in her mouth she checked her phone.
she had a few messages from riley and notifications from her social media.
"vámonos" lets go adriana said. the black haired teen finished her pop tart and threw the trash into the bin before heading out to the car. "here i made you a key just in case you have to walk home"
elena put the key in the small pocket of her backpack. and off they drove to the high school.

The new girl strutted out of her mother's car and toward tyler's van where her "friends" (?) were hanging out. lots of eyes on her, she rolled her eyes and glared at a couple people.
"hey, california!" austin smiles and leans in for a hug which elena gladly accepts. the rest of the group says their hi's. She felt someone's eyes on her. looking over her shoulder her eyes met with a certain honey blonde's.
"what's it with you and the cullens," lauren says with attitude. elena breaks her eye contact with the boy across the lot.
"whats it to you?" the hispanic girl responded, matching the attitude, causing the boys around them to laugh.
across the parking lot, jasper smirked to himself listening to the conversation between the new girl and the school's "mean girl".
the bell rang, making all the teenagers crowd into the building. elena said goodbye to her friends as their classes were in different directions. She made her way down the hallway and into her calculus class, taking her seat.
"elena! oh i love your outfit, much better than all the black yesterday," alice took the seat next to the black haired girl. "although you forgot-" she froze up for s few moments.
elena furrowed her eyebrows, "alice are you okay?" the pixie haired girl snapped out of it and gave her the biggest smile.
"never better" the lessons started, leaving the conversation between the two silent.
the next few classes consisted of taking a lot of notes and elena ignoring everyone around her, even the pale siblings.
Elena was aware people were labeling her as a bitch. she didn't mind, it was better than being vulnerable and letting people take advantage of her. everytime someone asked her why they moved she couldn't help but think the real reason was because of her "incident". her mom brought up the idea of moving a few times but elena always declined. she didn't want people to think she was running away from her problems.
