WEEKENDS WERE USUALLY SPENT ALONE FOR ELENA. it was saturday afternoon and her mom had just left to work. elena was in her room, pjs on, glasses on, hair in what was an attempted bun, working on her most recent embroidery project. her curtains were wide open, letting the chilly weather into her bedroom and music was playing softly in the background.

"ow fuck," she sucked on her index finger, the door bell scaring her. she walked down the stairs, not really in a hurry. "i'm coming," she yelled hearing the doorbell again. she opened the door with a huff, slightly annoyed with the person on the other side.

"hey, want to go for a walk, it's a nice day," jasper stood on her porch with a soft smile. elena stared at him for a second, realizing her appearance wasn't the best, she tried to tame her hair, "uh yeah just let me change real quick, uhm yeah just come in" she opened the door wide enough for him to walk through.

"i'll be right back," she ran up the stairs, grabbing the first outfit in sight. elena brushed her hair and let it hang above her shoulders. she grabbed a pair of socks, not caring that they didn't match and quickly laced up her converse. she sprayed a bit of perfume on and grabbed her house key.

"okay let's go," she reached the bottom of the stairs, jasper smiled and opened the front door and held it open for her. the two walked into the trees along the roads.

"i've never seen you in glasses," jasper looks at her, "they look good," elena blushed, realizing she had forgotten she had them on when getting ready.

"yeah i don't wear them often, though i probably should. my eyesight is not getting any better," she chuckles, "so where are we heading?"

jasper shrugged his shoulders, "i dont know just wanted to clear my mind and a good walk always helps. plus having you around is always nice too," he smiled looking at the ground.

the black haired girl blushed and chuckled, "oh stop it you big sap," she slightly shoved him, causing him to chuckle.

"im serious!" he exclaimed, she shook her head laughing. comfortable silence fell between the two. elena taking in the nature around her, jasper trying to find the courage to talk. they continued walking until they found a few huge rocks where they could sit.

"elena i have to tell you something," jasper scratched the back of his neck. elena adjusted herself, trying to find a comfortable angle to sit on the rock and nodded, gesturing for him to continue.

"well first of all i want to apologize for ignoring you for the last few days," she nodded once again, not wanting to interrupt, "it's just that when you brought up bella's conspiracy it made me scared. i don't want to put you in harms way, ever, and i don't want to put my family in harms way either. but seeing as edward already spilled, well what i'm saying is," he sighed trying to correctly put the next words together, "i am a vampire,"

elena looked at him unfazed, "that's crazy my dude," jasper looked at her confused, she lightly laughed.

"i'm serious elena, i'm a monster," he gave her a stern look.

the black haired girl hopped off the rock and dusted herself off, she walked towards him and looked at him in the eyes, "jasper i could care less if you were a troll or a werewolf. you've done nothing but make me feel happy," she gave him a soft smile, "i've never been scared of you and this won't change that. i know you won't hurt me."

the honey blonde shook his head, "i could kill you at any moment."

elena shrugged, "bold of you to assume i want to be alive," jasper on stared at her in disbelief, "jasper i already knew, since the day bella found out, she told me."
