*present day*
I woke up early as always, I went straight to the kitchen and saw Zach holding a bottle of beer on his hand. I ignored him and grab the towel hanging on the chair and hangs it on my shoulder. I went straight to the bathroom and suddenly “Hey” he called me. I glance at him with a not interested face
“What?”
“How’s mom?” He asks
“Why won’t you ask her by yourself?” I answer rudely
He walks towards me and grab the collar of my shirt, move me close into his face. To be honest, he stinks, scent of a beer all over his body, I pushed him away from and act so tough already.
“Hurt me if you want, I got used to it” I turned my back at him and went inside the bathroom.
While I’m in the shower, I’m still thinking for what happened on the other day, when I met Rose, my heart races and I could hardly breath. I couldn’t stand looking at her on the eye since I’m not good towards ladies. I even felt bad after rising my tone voice at her, I didn’t expect that it was her, I wonder how she reacted when I yelled at her.
After having a bath, I wrapped my waist with a towel and walked outside, when I pass by the mirror, I saw my reflection. There are syringe scars all over my body, I got conscious…I couldn’t look myself for long at the mirror, I rushed in my room and locked myself up. I change into my gray sweatshirt and jeans to cover up my body, I’m heading towards Rose’s penthouse to leave a rose again. Someone knocked at the door and called out my name “Ken” an adorable sweet voice yelled out from the door. I walk towards the door and opens it, Brianna stands in front of the door in her school uniform, she suddenly runs into my room and jumps on my bed
“Bree, you’re going to be late at school” I walk towards my bed and sit beside her, she calmed down and sit beside me. I notice she’s holding a paper on her hand
“What’s that?” I ask
“Annica said that you’re going to visit your friend every morning, so I made this last night” She hands me over the paper and saw her drawing, I know kids aren’t goo in arts but I know she tried her best so all I have to do is appreciate the beauty of Brianna’s art.
“It’s cute” I commented
“Please tell her I made it for her” She begged and gave me a puppy eyes, I did not hesitate to say ‘yes’ so I nodded for an answer. She smiled widely showing of her dimples on her cheeks. “Merci frère” She say ‘thank you brother’ in French, I hugged her and kissed her forehead and snuggled her close into my chest
“Hey, have you seen Brianna?” Annica suddenly interrupted as she snuck into my room, I glance at her and showed Brianna’s face “She’s right here” I respond
“Brianna come, you don’t wanna be late in school” Annica ordered then Brianna rushed into Annica’s arms “Bye bye Ken” Brianna waved her hand before leaving my room.
Not for long, I also went outside for a walk towards the penthouse. Like I always do, I stop by at the Wilson's flower shop. While walking, everything seems to happen in the same thing every day, people chatters, beeping cars, fountains and so much more. I have arrived at the coffee shop and Mrs. Wilson arranging the flowers.
"Mrs. Wilson, HI! “I greeted
"Oh hello there Ken, still wearing that sweatshirt hmm?" She responds
"You know me Mrs. Wilson" I chuckle
"You're here for your Rose?" She placed her hand on her hips and looked at me with a suspicious smile "Yes, were us it by the way?" I ask
