I wake up as the sun hits to my skin, I stood up and look over for Rose in the bedroom since I just slept on the couch. I haven't found her but she left her luggage open, she must be at the dining room having breakfast. I packed my things to get ready for our long trip later, we will ve heading to New York right now without stopping into any tourist spots. I grab a medicine from my luggage and drink it since I really needed it and went all the way towards the dining room. Rose and her friends are in a one table, I take an order I sat right next to Rose.
"Did you sleep well?" She asks me like nothing happened last night. I nodded and replied "Yes, I did" Its a bit awkward for me since I'm the only one who knows what's the meaning of the French word I said to her yesterday. It was actually my confession of my love for her, I said it on French in purpose in order for to know it if she's really curious.
We rested for a while and started to have a road trip, everyone is been talking and laughing while Rose and I are pretty quiet.
"I still didn't figure out what you said last night, but I'm really curios about it" She stated
"Glad to hear it" I replied
She took a glimpse at me and wondered, "When did you ever learn to swim?" She asks
"My father thought me when I was 3, but he passed away" I replied. "He was the best swimming couch I ever had... he left this token before he died" I grab the token from my pocket and showed it to her
"That's not a token" She replied. "It's a pendant, open it and you'll see" she added
I take a closer look at it and saw a tiny hole, I grab a pen and inserted its point into the hole. I was amazed as it opens and saw a picture of me and my father for the first float I did. I smiled to keep the pain inside me, I missed him so much even though I only remembered him teaching me how to float into the water.
"Why did you stopped?" She asks
I stayed silent since the reason I stopped swimming was my disease. A moment of almost drowned myself after my heart suddenly aches while practicing to swim when I was 6. That's how all started, I got locked up inside the house or delivered back to the hospital for some injections, check-ups that turns out to be my routine.
"I stopped because it reminds me of my father" I lied at her just to keep things as a secret.
I notice that there's a sign bored saying 'Welcome to New York City', I looked far away and every kilometer we take, I slowly saw the Statue of Liberty. A huge smile lit up into my face since I couldn't believe what I just saw. Everyone in the car notice it as well and then together we shouted "GOOD MORNING NEW YORK CITY!"
Rose leads the car into the streets of New York that are so wide and long, you can see a lot of cars and people on the streets enjoying the feeling of being in New York. I can't explain what I've been feeling right now, its like a huge excitement and happiness seeing those huge buildings and the statue of liberty and people with great styles.
"Welcome to New York City!" Rose exclaimed "A city with big dreams!" She added
We all shouted in glee as we express the happiness we feel in our hearts. It is so nice when everytime we look at people they smile at us wave their hands. We stopped into a tourist spot here in New York. Its their famous Botanical garden. As we entered the garden, we gather up and have a short meeting.
"So guys, we were thinking if its okay for us to divide in concur" Lukas says
"Yep and to make sure you guys are safe, its should be partners, like girls and boys" Heiley added
I stared at Lukas and squint my eyes and then he smiled and nodded. Its like we are talking to one other through our minds and I agreed with his idea. The good thing is, everybody agreed with that without hesitation, Rose gave Darling to Heiley and now we're taking a round to the garden...
FRANCHESKA'S POV
Ken and I are walking around the native plant garden and there tons of different flowers that has unique colors and shape, there are lavenders and sunflowers that bloom beautifully.
"There are so beautiful" I touched the flower and smells at it
"Just like you" Ken added and I smiled at him widely
While having a tour, I felt someone hold my hand, I glance at Ken and he lets go of my hand. He's been acting weird after what he said last night but those words he said still bothers me, I stopped on walking since I saw a French couple taking pictures to one another. I beam as they look sweeter than a pancake.
"I love you Darling" The french woman said. "je vous aime aussi" the French guy replied
Then suddenly, I remembered what Ken said last night 'je vous aime'. I can't move my feet right now, for all this time, Ken and I like one another, even though we met like days ago, we found trust to one another. My heart beats so fast like a rapid drum is in me. I glance to my right but Ken isn't around. We both didn't realize that we lost sight for one another. I can't help it... and run towards to where he is, I couldn't find him but my heart said I'm near him, I run into a Rose garden even though and every step I take, my heart tightens up tears start to roll into my chin. where is he? WHERE?!
