Things are going fast these days, we were sent back to Los Angeles to work again, and just like our normal lives used to be, but this time, every night after work Ken fetch me from the hospital as he got his license. Our parents finally meet each other last Christmas and there is no problem towards our relationship. Ken and I spend most of the days together, it’s not yet 1 year for our relationship but we did a lot of things together like, swimming into a beach with my other friends, camping, amusement parks but he never wanted to ride an extreme rides. I understand that he's a scaredy-cat.
We're in my house right now, Ken and I are watching Netflix and chill since Heiley and Lukas are asleep. We watched some sad and romantic stories that leaves me a tear right after. He looked at me and chuckles "Did that movie made you cry?" as he moves closer to me and let me lay my head on his chest. Like always, hearing his weak heartbeat makes me feel sad.
"I guess it's really a sad movie" I chortle and sniffs
"Well stop crying, it’s just a movie" He kissed my cheeks for a short time and that made me smile. I looked at him on the eyes and he seems staring at me as well.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" I ask
"I'm adoring my girl's beauty... I've always wanted to see your face this close before and I can't believe that you're here, so real and it’s not a dream" He smirked as he hold into my cheeks and squishes it
He sit up straight and wrap his arm around me "Rose... can I take you for a real date tomorrow? like something official" He asks
"Okay" I whispered and kisses him on the lips
I didn't notice but I drifted off to sleep. Well, it's weird since I saw Ken away from, I run towards him and hugged him so tight, but his heart wasn't beating, I was frustrated so I looked at him and his face is fading. "NO!" I shouted as he started to flurry away.
"KEN!" I shouted and stood up and realize that I'm on the sofa. It was all a dream, thank goodness it was all a dream. I touched my face and look in my hand, and there's a tear on it. I wipe off my tears and smelled a burning food from the kitchen. I walk towards the kitchen and saw Ken making some pancakes
"What are you doing?" I ask, he glances at me and smiled "Ahh good morning darling, I made you some pancakes" He greeted while handing me over plate of pancakes
"Well, it's burnt but I accept anything from you Kenji" I said as I placed the plate on the table and wash my face on the sink before I eat up.
"By the way, our date will be on the evening since I have to walk Brianna around the city" He said
"Oh well then, let me come along" I opine
"Are you sure?"
"I want to spend time with that little kiddo" I beamed. “Well, make sure after this you’re dressed up. You don’t want to disappoint the little girl” He chuckles and walk towards my room. After eating, I went to the bathroom and take a bath, when I came into my room, a navy floral tie back crop top and a matching palazzo pants are placed on my bed. I smiled after knowing that he prepared my clothes for me. When I grab the pants, a rose fell off from it, so I crouch and took it. Obviously, it’s from him, I walked outside my room after getting dress. Saw him in gradient blue sweater and jeans, such a simple man with a simple style. I walked downstairs as I saw him waiting, we went to the parking lot he’s the one driving my car. On our way to fetch Brianna, well…I didn’t expect for her look, a little girl in a French outfit with a beret on the top of her strawberry locks hair. Heading to the park, just where she wanted to be, she’s screaming in excitement and keeps on wiggling his brother. When we arrived…
“Ken look! A sweeswaw! A SWEESWAW!” she screamed as she runs towards the seesaw, I was about to grab her hand but she’s too fast and run away.
“Brianna be careful!” I warned her after getting worried that she might hurt herself then Ken hold my shoulders and gave me a warm smile “You need to chill out, she knows what she’s doing” Ken cheered me up so I don’t have to worry anymore.
“KENNNNN!” Brianna screamed from the swing
“What?” Ken answered
“Push my swing pwease” We walk towards her and saw that there is a vacant swing on her side, so I occupy it and started to swing around with her. As I swing backwards, I bump into Ken and when I turn around, he was actually holding it. “Do you want a push as well?” He asks with a chuckle
I look sideways and whispered “Ken you don’t have to, I’m too old for this” I replied with a small giggle, “What’s the problem? We actually been kids so why won’t you feel it once more?” He tries to convince but I have no choice than to agree.
“Look Rose I’m flying!” Brianna squealed as she swings higher than me, I stood up and stand right in front of her and told her to “Bree, jump and I’ll catch you”
“WHAT?!” Ken exclaimed
Too late for Ken to stop us and Brianna jumped as I told her, I catch her safely and carry her into my arms. I looked at her and she is smiled widely, glad to know that she’s so happy, she holds both side of my cheeks and called my name. “Rosie…” she said, I suddenly remembered Noah’s brother and heard his voice in my head calling me (Rose…am I going to die?). I spaced out and I can only hear Ken’s and Brianna’s voice calling me repeatedly.
“Rose!”
“Ken, what happened to Rose?” Hearing Brianna really sad…
