CHAPTER 17

I sit right next to the kid and he looked at me rudely. "Are you also here for my mother and let her pay for her bills?" He asks rudely

I chuckle and shake my head "No, I'm here for a visit" I replied

"Why would a rich girl visit this cheap and old apartment?" he asks while staring at me

"It’s not that bad, its actually cozy" I answer

"Why are you here?" I ask

"What's the use of being inside of your parents doesn't even pau attention to you and keep arguing. It seems like they are going to send me to an orphanage" He answered me while looking so depressed and miserable

I sit up straight and smiled "I was once like you, being ignored by my parents. They don't pay attention to me nor listen to me, do you know what I did?"

"You pack your things and leave?"

"I climb up into the top of the pine tree and jump off, so they will pay attention to me and showed them that I got hurt" I continued and he look so surprise at me

"That's stupid" He scoffs and look away

"At least they paid attention to me" I grin, he suddenly stood up and walk away from me. I don't know where he's gone to but I just heard a loud thump from Ken's door so I got alarmed and rush to the porch and open the door.

Ken was on the ground and his sister and mother taking away his brother from him while he is struggles to move forward. They all stopped after they saw me, everyone was clueless except Ken. They're all staring at me in a surprise

"Well it seems mother forgot to pay the land lady" His brother shove his arm and walk inside a room then slammed the door so hard that all neighborhood could hear it

"I'm sure I paid yesterday" His mother say sweetly

"Ah! no, you get it all wrong. My name is Rose, I'm Ken's friend and Annica's" I introduce myself

I helped Ken to stand up after getting laid on the ground, his lips are bleeding and I can tell that he got punched by his brother.

"Perhaps he said the reason" I stated

"New York. A place full of wonders, but we don't have any money to travel" His mom complain

I walk towards her and hold her hand "No no, it’s my treat at all. I just want to spend time with your son Ms. Cyrus. If you would allow me"

"But my son is sick, he can't travel" She says softly

"Sick?" I ask seriously

"She means motion sickness" Ken interrupted, and he pulled me away from his mother

"Right mom?" He asks with a smile

"Yes..."

"I am a doctor, I can take good care of your son. If it’s okay with you"

"Yes sure. uhm Hun, why won't you pack your things?" His mother asked him, and he obeyed her without hesitation.

"Take a seat"

I waited for Ken to finish packing up, what I observe that they're house is cozy, and I like it. I look around and notice there are medicines on the counter table, it must be from his stepbrother. Not for long, Kenji came out from his room carrying luggage, he even changes his clothes, wearing a light blue button up polo leaving two buttons open and black trousers. He actually looks like a businessman, but his hair stays curly and that's cute. I smiled as I saw him approaching me, he did a quick turn to show me his outfit.
