Next Day.

It was Friday and I woke up earlier than usual just because of him. He may not want to talk about problems or let me be his friend.. at least I read it from his actions. I wasn't going to just obey him.

I made my bed, brushed my teeth and put on my clothes. My eyes slipped on the calendar and I felt a bit of excitement. Next week was my baptism what i have been waiting for a while now. My religious beliefs weren't strong at first but I've always been that type of girl to have strong faith. When I grew up and combined my traits, it felt like a piece of me. Things are logical, fair and full of love. Only thing that wasn't fair, was that my father didn't know anything about it. My mother was baptised and I also wanted to be. Maybe because how close I could feel to her.

I heard a car outside and once I looked outside, Peyton was stepping out his car. I picked up my bag and went downstairs. When I reached downstairs, The doorbell rang and I let him in. He seemed surprised to see awake when he took off his shoes.

Peyton: glad you're awake tho. I really didn't want to use the horn today.

Me: I bet. Dad scared you enough?

Peyton seemed a bit flushed.

Peyton: uhm, no. Being scared is an option if you take things how they are. Your father just went over some of the rules.

I chuckled and continued my own activity which was making myself some breakfast. Peyton watched me until he opened his mouth.

Peyton: so? Where's your father?

Me: it's still 7 a.m. you're the one being early.

Peyton: can you blame me with all this work?

I shook my head.

Peyton: if you must know, I do some early morning practice before coming here.

Me: oh really?

Peyton: yeah. It isn't anything compared to the training but it's still something.

I chuckled and smiled to him. Wait... was he opening up to me? Maybe not.. it's just morning routine.

Me: okay. Anyways, do I have to wait for you today as well?

Peyton smiled.

Peyton: no. I will be there in time.

Me: great!

I finished and took my school bag. Before leaving, I decided to write a note to dad just in case. I left the note on the table and we left the house.
On our way to the school, my thoughts went back to the church and I looked at Peyton. He looked at me too.

Peyton: everything okay?

Me: yeah, I guess.

Peyton: then stop acting like that. You seem so...unease...

I sighed heavily in response. He continued looking at the road.

Peyton: okay, out with it. I don't have all day.

Me: I... my baptism is coming up.

He didn't reply at first but then parked his car on the side of the road. He seemed curious. He turned to me
