Every kiss turned sweeter and sweeter and I felt almost as if I was non existent until both of us heard a sound. With a slow reaction, we noticed my dad in the hallway, watching us with a slight smirk.Dad: please, as you were. I'm gonna use the bathroom upstairs.
I shook my head. I felt completely normal and finally understood what had happened. I stood up and ran after my father.
Me: wait, dad!!
Dad stopped while going upstairs.
Dad: yes?
Me: it isn't how it looked like
Dad raised his hands up.
Dad: Jose, this is your life and you're in college. It's about time.
He chuckled and continued walking up the stairs. I turned around and saw Peyton standing in the hallway, watching me. I gave him a smile.
LATER
It was around 8 p.m and we were all watching tv in the living room. Dad was sitting on his chair as usual, me and Peyton were sitting on the couch. One of dad's favourite tv shows ended when dad stood up.
Dad: Well, I'm going to bed. Peyton?
Peyton quickly tried to stand but then fell down on the couch again.
Peyton: Yes?
Dad: What's your plan?
Peyton: my plan? Uhh..
He looked at me with a uncertain look. He didn't know how to respond to that. I looked at my dad
Me: He will stay for tonight. I'll make him a bed in the guest room.
Dad: Great! I'll see you two tomorrow.
He put the remote on the table and went upstairs. Me and Peyton were just standing there pretty awkwardly.
Peyton: So, what did you think about the show?
Me: My father has some taste. It wasn't good but not bad either. What about you?
Peyton: Not my typical choice if you'd ever see me in front of the Tv. It was alright.
Me: okay.
Peyton: Should we talk about that kiss?
Me: well, for starters, you're such a flirt.
Peyton gave a chuckle that was a bit sexier then the other times he had done that.
Peyton: Maybe? Sometimes? ahh..
He pushed his head on one of the pillows he had next to him. At that moment, Peyton was really cute. I could tell he was blushing about what had happened earlier.
Me: Okay.
I stood up and turned off the tv.
Me: We have to make you a bed to sleep in.
Peyton: You don't have to. This couch will do just fine.
Me: And I would be hearing a one hour monologue about what decisions I make in my life. Not gonna happen pretty boy.
I reached out my hand for him to take and pulled him up.
Me: job is waiting for us.
We both smiled at each other and we both walked into my mother's room. I was going through some things there, especially her wardrobe to find the sheets and blanket. In 10 minutes I had made the room messy but I was ready with the bed.
