Chapter Sixteen: Nico

   How did I end up with these people? Was my father out to punish me? I mean, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase and Melione are the most different people ever. They all have nothing in common. Melione and I have one thing in common. Hades is our father.
   But that's what people think, but at the end of the day Hades is that he is the most faithful out of the gods and goddesses but yet, he is treated like the dreadful immortal being in every religion there is. But by saying that obviously he isn't so innocent either as the scar upon Melione's eye might have something to do with him.
   As I sit here I can't help but shake off the awkwardness and bitterness from Melione and Percy. They are both more stubborn than each other and who knows how long they both can go without talking to each other or ignoring their existences throughout this whole adventure. But there was no way in gods I was going to allow that.
   Maybe Annabeth might, as she has jealousy residing inside her ready to burst out any moment. And even now she's letting jealousy slowly slip out of her like the venom from fangs of a snake. I watch the two laugh and giggle with each other and be the love-doves they were back in camp-half blood before this adventure. They were quite the quirky match Annabeth being the daughter of Athena was full of wisdom and intelligence while Percy was a care-free guy and liked to have fun.
   But in a way they were like a sort of yin-yang. When I take a quick glance at Melione, she has an intense glare on the two. Could it be that maybe Melione developed some sort of feelings for Percy? No she wouldn't, would she?
   Even if she did it wouldn't work after she gains her power again and becomes the goddesses she once was. She would have to go back to her duties in the underworld. But who knows? Aphrodite has a sort of way with things.
   I thought of how Melione showed up, and how much of a coincidence it is that she showed up when she did. A few days after Atlas escaped again, she fell out of the sky. And during those days, Persephone's sword went missing. It just doesn't add up.
