I didn't know why Percy wanted to follow me in the woods nor even help like I even needed the help. If he was just here to annoy me. Gods help me. I wasn't going to let him get away with it this time. I may not have my abilities but I sure do have my wings and I wouldn't mind throwing the demi-god in the air and watching him fall.
"What do you want, Percy?" I angrily mutter.
"What? I'm just helping you out." Percy stands back, astonished.
"I don't need your help or anyone's help!" I yell back.
"If you get enough firewood for the campfire to keep it going for another day, that's going to be a lot of wood." Like I didn't know that already. "How are you going to carry that back to the campsite? What, are you gonna fly or something?" He snickered.
"That's exactly what I'm going to do. So you can leave now!" I say crossing my arms, Percy rolls his eyes.
"How are you going to fly? You're not a daughter of Zeus. You can't control the wind!" He snapped. I unfurled my wings and crossed my arms.
"You were saying?" I turned around and headed further into the forest. Percy jogged up to me.
"W-wha, wh-whe, h-how?" I smiled smugly at his sudden speechless-ness.
"I got my wings when I was born, 2000 years ago." He should know this since he's dating wise girl. She knows every myth there is. I looked over at Percy, and I guess he could see that I was still hurt from last night. I didn't want anyone to find out about this stupid scar. It makes me look hideous.
"Listen, I'm sorry about overreacting about the whole 'kiss the girl' thing, and the whole scar across your eye that ended up being revealed, Which by the way it's actually pretty cool. It reminds me of the superheroes from comic books I use to read" Percy says with a warm smile.
I couldn't help but let the warm sensation fill my body up all throughout. Percy may be dumb at times but he sure knew his way with words. It really is going to harm me emotionally, when I will have to betray this dork, but it won't be easy. Especially how Annabeth is always keeping an eye on us all the time, due to thinking Percy will make a move on me or something, as he would.
But maybe, just maybe, I could take that as an advantage. Of course, Percy would never dare do something like that to Annabeth and betray her trust. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't.
I stop in my tracks making Percy bump into me. I turn around making our faces a mere inch away from each other. I feel the small breaths of Percy against my face and look into his sea-green-eyes the sun peeking through the green forested woods illuminating his face. I feel myself moving closer and soon enough I feel my lips against his like a puzzle that fits and feel his heart racing. The sweet moment was quickly cut to a short as Percy pulled away stunned as what I did.
"Look Melione, I can't do this especially to Annabeth. I'm with her maybe in another lifetime or something I would have been with you. But not this one.." Percy says sheepishly. I feel ashamed and humiliated. But I knew Percy felt the Chemistry between us and I was going to make him realize it.
"Percy, You know we have sort of chemistry between each other can't you feel it? Can't you feel it whenever we're tougher it's like a magnetic force that pushes us tougher or those weird colorful bombs that explode in the sky?" I state in a pleading matter.
Percy lets out a sigh "I do, but how do I officially know when I'm with Annabeth, who I so deeply care about?" Percy utters looking down at the filthy dirt.
"Kiss me and you'll feel it Percy"
