Annabeth and Percy both looked at me, astonished.
"What do you mean she was talking to Atlas?" Percy asked me with a strangely calm voice.
"I was walking through the forest, looking for you guys, when I heard her talking to someone. I thought it was you, Percy because he had a very deep voice. I poked my head around a tree and saw her talking to him."
"No, you must've been mistaken. Why would she talk to Atlas?" Percy asked, almost as if to himself.
"That's what I thought. But it really was him."
"What were they talking about?" Annabeth demanded.
"I don't know how long they were talking for, but from what I heard, it wasn't good."
"As you guys know, I was walking around and trying to find you guys, when I heard her talking to Atlas. I leaned up against a tree and quietly listened.
'How close are you to bringing the boy to me?' Atlas had demanded.
'Nowhere near close. I just need a few more days, maybe a week.' She had pleaded.
'The longer you take, the less of a chance you have of getting your immortality back.'
'I know, but-'
'Do you want revenge!' He had yelled at her.
'You know I do! I want to make him pay. I want to kill him for what he did to me! I WANT TO SEE THE LIFE DRAIN OUT OF HIS EYES AFTER I DRIVE MY SWORD INTO HIS HEART!!' Her voice went strangely deep at this point."
"That doesn't sound like Melione..." Percy sounded worried.
"Of course you would know." Annabeth scoffed.
"Keep going, Nico."
"'And you will have your revenge.'
'I can taste it already.'
'Ah ah ah. You will have your revenge AFTER you bring me the son of Poseidon.' Atlas snarled.
'It will be hard. He is always with that Athena brat.' She snarled.
'Then find a way to eliminate her.'"
"'Eliminate her?'" Annabeth said, shocked. "He wants her to kill me?"
"She'd never do that. She's you're friend, Annie."
"Some friend she is. What kind of friend makes out with her friend's boyfriend?" That seemed to shut Percy up.
"There's still more guys," I told them.
"Keep going."
"'I'm planning on it.'" I looked over at Annabeth. She nodded at me to go on.
"'Good. Once she is finished, bring the boy to me.'
'And what do I do about that annoying little brat Nico?'
'Whatever you have to do. Kill him for all I care.'"
"Nico..." Percy cut in.
"I know she'll never kill me, Percy. I'm her brother, just as much as she is my sister."
"'You know I will.' My leg fell asleep and I stood on a twig, and they heard it snap.
'What was that?' Atlas looked in my direction.
'Someones there. I can't let them see me if it's one of the others.'
'You, go. I'll find out who it is.' I then heard her wings woosh and she was gone. I heard Atlas' heavy footsteps coming towards me, so I shadow traveled away. Then I ran around, trying to find you guys. And here we are."
"What I want to know is, who is 'he'. Is it Zeus?" Percy wondered out loud.
"It's gotta be," Annabeth replied. "He's the one who took away her immortality. And since when does she have wings?"
"Since always, but why would she make a deal with him?" I asked them.
"Shut up! She's coming." Annabeth said.
"What do we say to her?" Percy asked.
"Nothing yet," Annabeth said. "I'll think of a plan." We all stopped talking and we anxiously waited for her to join us.
