Hades Daughter

Chapter One: Melione

   You call him Hades, Lucifer or the devil. But I call him my dad. My mother Persephone I resemble more because I have her soft personality and looks. You're probably wondering who I am. Well I am Hades daughter, Melione, the goddess of ghosts, the bringer of madness and nightmares...

   You may not have heard of me, but I have been around for two thousand years. I live in the underworld with my father, Hades, and my older brother, Haden. The only time I can see my mum is when its winter and she's in the underworld.
   You may be wondering what I look like, well, let me tell you. I have long dark brown hair (which people say is black but it's not) that covers the right side of my face. I have my mother's blue eyes which can cloud over quickly when I get mad. I wear a simple silk black dress that has red lines on it. My skin is pale but not that pale. On my back I have feathery black angel wings. And across my nose was a small trail of freckles.
   Anyway, your only here to hear my story. So sit back, because my story is about be trail, romance, backstabbing and jealousy.
   I was in my bed room coming up with some punishments because my dad wanted me to. I looked over to my pet hellhound, which I had recently got. She was fast asleep on my bed, curled up in a little ball, her head in her tail. I had decided to call her Ruby. It's a weird name, but her eyes sparkle like them.
   I went back to writing some punishments in my book, when I heard a knock on my door. I went to answer it and saw Haden. His blondish hair swept across his forehead. His intense brown eyes looked into mine. He had a new tan that I only just noticed. He had obviously been up in the over world. His freckles were hard to notice because of his new tan. That was the only thing we had in conmen.
   "What's up bro???" I asked. Honestly, could it be any cringer?
   "Wanna go interfere with some ghosts in the fields of punishment?" He asked. He's always like this. I got to the point where I just stopped asking whether we should or not. He always gets me to do it.
   "Sure. Let me send these punishments to father first. Then we can."
   "Alright. Don't you do it though, you're always taking too long, and so, I got a ghoul for you. Mother doesn't need that many ghouls to help her, so I took one of hers to for you to use. It's an easier way. Don't you think?"
   "Honestly, that is one of the most stupid excuses I have ever heard. Which one is it from the fields of punishment? Is it Garry? What's going to happen to the bees? They are meant to feast on him every night then he heals. What's gonna happen?"
   "Uh, they are still with him. Sorry sis. Couldn't get all em away from him. He still has ten with him"
   "What did dad say? Is he cool with it?"
   "Yeah his cool with it. Garry, get in here. Sis needs you"
   Gary appears with some bees on him. "Let me take that to master Hades for you mistress. Sorry about the bees. After I heal tonight, I won't get that many more bites from the bees." He says. He took the book and then went on his way to see my dad.
   "I hope he likes the punishments. Don't say he will Hayden. You always jinx me. Let's go"
   We walk around the mansion until we bump into mum. It must be winter. She's never down here before winter. Why was she here?
   "Hello children! It's finally winter! I can't wait to hear all about your time whilst I was away!" She said. Gods of Olympus I missed her!
   "Mum! I didn't even realise. I thought winter started tomorrow, I must have been wrong! Glad to have you back!" Haden said. Though he seemed disappointed.
   I gave my mum a hug and told her how much I missed her.
   "I don't think dad knows your back yet. You should probably go tell him." Haden said.
   "I was on my way to do that when I came across you two. Have fun! I'm going to speak with my husband now." she hurried off. I turned to Haden.
   "We can talk with her at dinner. Let's go" He replied. It's like he read my mind. He ran ahead. Confused and dazed, I flapped my wings and raced Haden to the fields of punishment.
