Romans POV

After dinner, I headed to my room, trying to figure out my feelings. They were complex, fluctuating between hatred for Virgil, and love for him. But which is it? I practically begged my heart to choose... it seemed to answer you must choose or maybe that was the Disney in me.
After awhile, I decided to head back, and see if they were done, but chatting and that was why they didn't call me.
When I got there, I saw Virgil laughing at Logan. Not at something Logan said because by the way Logan's face looks, he couldn't form a coherent sentence.
I was proven right by Logan mumbling 'he.... I.... um...'
"What's funny?" I asked Virgil. His laugh was beautiful, and I hated to disrupt it, but I had to ask.
"N-nothing..." Virgil said, looking down, his bangs hiding the expression on his face.
"Logan?" I expected him to give me some sort of answer.
"I... he.... uh..." Seems like Logan couldn't talk yet.
"You won't be getting an answer from him." Virgil said, starting to laugh again.
I smiled because of how beautiful his laugh was, but quickly started piling the dishes.
Virgil quickly grabbed Logan and brought him into the hallway. I couldn't hear much more other than the opening of a door and Patton asking a question. I couldn't quite hear what, but... oh well.
It didn't take long, and after I finished I started to head to my room, but heard a noise from Virgils room, and the door was open.
I quickly walked over, making sure to be quiet.
Virgil was talking to a... man? I wasn't sure if that was the right word for him.
Half his face had scales, and the other half was human. He also appeared to have a snake tongue, which I noticed when he smiled.
Him and Virgil were arguing as to whether or not they were friends, and the snake dude kept mentioning the Dark Sides.
He said "you should still be a Dark Side, with how rude you are."
Wait, Virgil was a Dark Side? The only Dark Side I had the 'luck' to meet was Remus, my brother. So, he didn't really count. But, Virgil? He wasn't like them!
Well he sorta is... one side of me said.
No he's not! the other side said.
"You should go see Remus, he must be missing you." Virgil said.
Wait, Virgil knew my brother? Oh, no.
Remus wasn't the best person ever. No where near.
The snake dude seemed taken aback by that.
"I know you're dating, don't lie Deceit." So his name was Deceit? That's worse than Virgil.
Obviously, if I had to guess, I'd say Deceit was like Patton's version of Remus.
You see, I was the good imagination, and Remus was the... not so good kind. So, I was guessing Deceit was Immorality. It would make sense. Or maybe he was just lying, being deceitful.
Anyway, wait...
Remus was dating a snake? Literally?! Jeez, next time I talk to him, I need to talk to him about his choices in guys.
My head was spinning, when finally Deceit left.
"So, who was that?" I asked, leaning on Virgils door.
"Flip..." I could hear him mutter, barely.
Virgil closed the door.
"He's... um...a Dark Side..."
"How did you meet him? I only know my brother... trust me though, you don't want to know him." I could tell by the look in his eyes that he agreed.
"Well..."
"Were you a Dark Side?" I asked, trying to be calm, hoping he wouldn't lie.
He seemed taken aback. He muttered something, but I couldn't hear it.
"Virgil, can you speak up?" I asked, then I noticed the tears in his eyes. He was having an anxiety attack.
"Patton!" I quickly called for Patton. He came quickly, and Logan was right behind him. Logan stayed by the door, knowing he'd be useless in this situation.
"Move away from him." Patton directed, pushing me away.
"Virgil, breathe in for 4 seconds," Virgil stopped at 2.
"Ok, then... Name 5 things you can see, kiddo." Patton said, in a calming voice.
"Logan, Roman, you, walls, hands." Virgil said, looking down at his hands.
"Great, now 4 things you can touch."
"Bed, wall, sweater, blanket."
"Good, kiddo. Now, 3 things you can hear."
"Heartbeat, me, breathing."
"You're doing wonderful, kiddo. Now, 2 things you can smell."
"Romans cologne, books." I smiled, remembering last night, when he answered my cologne as well.
"One more. 1 thing you can taste."
"The pasta sauce." Virgils breathing was back to normal.
"Thanks Patton." I said. "Maybe next time this happens, I'll be able to help, if you're not around."
"Maybe..." Patton said, then left, dragging Logan with him.
"Okay... I'm not going to ask what they're doing." I said, trying to ease the tension.
"Heh, yeah." Virgil said. It worked, and the tension eased a bit.
"Thanks for not freaking out, Roman..." Virgil said after a minute of awkward silence.
"It's fine, emo nightmare." I said, smiling lightly, hoping he knew I didn't mean it rudely.
"So... about what we were talking about earlier..." Virgil started fidgeting with his fingers.
"Yeah?" I asked, not wanting to bring it up again if he didn't want to talk about it.
"Well... I'd rather you not tell Patton and Logan, but I was once a Dark Side..." Virgil said, quietly.
"Oh... so you do know Remus... I feel bad, maybe I should pay you for your troubles!" I said, a smile on my face.
"Heh.... yeah. He definitely was the most interesting character I've met before." Virgil said.
"Yeah, I know... but did you say he was dating that snake?" I asked.
"Yeah... I didn't usually come out of my room then, cause they were always ready to prank me, or were pranking each other. So, once I went out to get food, and I saw them making out on the couch..." Virgil explained.
"Oh... now I feel really bad for you!" I said.
"Yeah, I left my room even less after that."
"Well, I suppose when the inevitable time comes that I see him again, I'll talk to him about his terrible choice in men..."
"Wait, you see your brother?" Virgil asked, surprised.
"Yeah, too much. Was this the first time Deceit appeared here?" Virgil nodded. "Huh... maybe it's because we're related, or something..."
"Maybe..." Virgil muttered.
"Well... I'm going to go now..." I said, the conversation having ended awkwardly, and Virgil was too busy thinking to care, anyway.
"Ok, bye Roman." Virgil said, barely noticing.
"Bye Virge." I said. He was looking down, so I blew him a kiss. I left quickly after that, blushing.
I closed the door to my room, and leaned against the closed door, like Elsa does in Frozen.
Why did I do that?
