Virgil's POV
(I'm trying to make up for all the Roman
Also I'm so sorry for severely missing the due date for this!!!! I feel so bad!!!
[and yes Vi, ik, do it when I want, but shushhhh])

"Kiddo, kiddo," Patton said in a calming voice, "it's okay! I promise you."
"But h-he-"
"Shhh, it's okay. And don't worry, I'll talk to him later." Patton said.
"O-okay." I said, rubbing my eyes. "B-but I s-still think he h-hates m-me... P-Pat, did I-I r-ruin everything?"
"I'm sure you didn't, kiddo... it'll all turn out fine!" You could tell Patton wasn't sure by his voice. He was just trying to make me feel better.
"B-but he h-hates m-me... I-it's so c-clear th-that he does... I-if I w-wasn't such a d-dunce, w-we wouldn't b-be in th-this s-situation." I said.
"Virgil, Virgil! It's okay, I promise! Just calm down." Patton said, still working on calming me down.
"B-but P-Pat! This i-is a-all my fault!" I cried.
"Shh, shh, it's okay, kiddo." I sobbed.
"P-Pat... e-everything goes wr-wrong because o-of m-me! I-I'm s-such a f-fucking m-mistake!" I exclaimed, stuttering severely.
"That's not true, kiddo! You don't ruin anything!" Patton said.
"Y-yes I-I did, I-I f-fucked everything u-up." I said.
"You didn't!" Patton countered.
"Y-yes I-I d-did!" I retorted.
"Virge, why don't you tell me after you calm down, okay? Then I'll tell you if I think you mucked it up, okay?" Patton asked. I nodded. "It's okay."
I started sobbing into Pat's shoulder, ruining his shirt with my tears, but he didn't appear to mind.
"It's okay Virge, it'll all be okay." Patton said, rubbing circles into my back.
"I-is i-it?" I asked, still stuttering.
"I'm sure it will be." Pat said.
"B-but-" I started.
"I'm sure it will be fine Virgil, you can calm down." Patton said calmingly.
"C-can you c-call P-Paranoia?" I asked, being careful to not call him Kole.
"Sure kiddo." Patton said, then he got his phone out and dialled Kole.
"Yeah Vi?" Kole's voice asked.
I wasn't able to talk, but Kole must've been able to hear my sobs.
"What happened?? I swear to god, if that prince hurt you-" Kole started.
"Well... Roman did something, Virgil's crying and I'm working on calming him down. I'm not entirely sure what happened... do you mind talking to Roman?" Patton asked.
"Oh, gladly." Kole said. I was slightly worried for Roman, by the way that he said that.
"Okay, thanks kiddo!" Patton said. He probably didn't hear the threat in Kole's voice.
"No problem Pat. I'll be there after I talk to Roman." Kole said, the threat still there in his words. After that, he hung up, probably to talk to Roman.
Patton put the phone down, and went back to calming me down, as I continued crying. I had messed up, and I couldn't change it. But that wouldn't change how bad I felt about it.
Eventually, I started calming down.
"There, see?" Pat asked. "It's all okay."
"I guess." I said with a sniffle. Then, Kole came in and sat down next to us.
"Hey Paranoia." Patton said.
"H-hey." I stuttered out.
"Hello." Kole said.
"So, how'd your talk with Roman go?" Patton asked.
"Good enough. We... 'talked'." Kole said.
"D-does h-he h-hate me?" I managed to get out.
"No. That's one thing I know for sure."
"See? I told you." Patton said.
"I-I guess.. b-but how d-do y-you know h-he wasn't l-lying?" I asked.
"I don't, but you know him better than we do." Kole said. (REA NO-) "He's not the type to lie about that stuff."
"Yeah! I'm sure he wasn't lying about that, kiddo. You two love each other!" Patton said.
"B-but this i-is a-all m-my fault... I w-would u-understand i-if h-he hated me... b-but wh-what if w-we b-broke u-up? Wh-what w-would happen? I-I don't kn-know wh-what I'd d-do... wh-what w-would h-happen to K-Kingsley? Wh-what i-if I h-have t-to leave th-the M-Mind P-Palace? Wh-what if I-I h-have to l-leave Kingsley? H-how w-would th-that affect  h-him? Wh-what i-if-" I started freaking out again.
"Shh, shh, kiddo, it's okay!" Patton said, hugging me as I continued sobbing.
Patton tried helping me calm down again, but it wasn't working very well.
"Hey Pat?" Kole asked.
"Yeah?"
"Can I see Virge for a minute?" Kole asked. I knew he would be able to calm me down. I'm not sure how, but he does it.
"Sure... do you want me to leave the room?" Patton asked.
"You don't have to, I just want to try and calm him down." Kole said.
"Okay." Patton said, unhugging me. (How else could you explain that-)
"Hey Vi." Kole said, laying me down, head in his lap, and he started running his fingers through my hair. I kept sobbing, curling slightly into myself, but I could feel it working. I could also feel Patton's stare. He was probably confused as to how Kole was able to calm me down like this.
I finally calmed down after a bit, and fell asleep.

3rd Person POV

"That worked well..." Patton mused.
"He's like a brother to me. This isn't the first time I've helped him calm down." Kole said.
"Really? Seems like there's more than one secret family going on." Patton said with a smile, referring to how Roman never mentioned Remus, they only found out about him once Remus appeared.
"Yeah, I guess." Kole said with a chuckle. Patton chuckled too, then sighed.
"I hope this ends well." Patton said. Kole sighed as well.
"I'm not sure it will... especially with the reaction both of them got after what I believe to have been an argument." Kole said.
"True..." Patton said sombrely. Then he shook his head, and was back to his normal happy-pappy ways. "But I'm sure it'll turn out fine!"
"Yeah... I guess." Kole said, clearly far from convinced.
"Thanks for calming him down, by the way." Patton said.
"It's nothing, I'd do anything for this ball of anxiety." Kole said. Patton chuckled.
"Same. I would do anything to help my kiddo," he said.
"I know that Roman was upset, but... getting mad... over a nightmare? That's a little too extreme, even for him." Kole said.
"Yeah, he should've calmed down, especially since it was just a dream. It didn't mean anything!" Patton agreed.
"It just makes me so mad..." Kole said. After Patton's confused look, he continued. "Virgil'a been through so much and Roman doesn't even think about it. That's how self-absorbed he is."
"It is Roman after all." Patton murmured.

Only like, 3 months late...
But yeah! Long time no... um... not see, not hear, not smell uhhh- long time no read? Idk-
I missed y'all!
I'll try to update more but grade 9 is pretty darned hard... but I'll do my best!
