A Break?

Roman's POV

We brought them back to the Mind Palace with no issue, and I set Virgil down on the couch, whereas Jamie took Kole to Kole's room.
I sat by Virge, waiting for him to wake up, knowing it wouldn't be long. Unless what happened when you stabbed him happens again, a voice in my head said.
No, it won't. It was him literally being chained up... he'll wake up, I'm sure...
Or will he? the voice asked.
He will.
If you say so.
"Princey?" Vi asked, sitting up.
"Virgil?" I asked.
"Who else?" Virge asked.
I didn't reply, and hugged him.
"What happened, Princey? Am I missing something?" Virge asked, hugging back.
"Do you not remember?" I asked, pulling back to see his face.
"Remember what?" Virgil asked, and I could see in his face that he wasn't lying.
"You were with some dude... Macaji..." I said, trailing off when I realized how confused Vi was.
"What are you talking about, Ro?" Virge asked.
I sighed, and began to explain what had happened.
"I don't remember anything..." Vi said.
By this point Logan was in the room.
"Well, you might have a case of retrograde amnesia, whether temporary or permanent has yet to be seen." Logan said.
"Great." Virgil said.
"Do not worry, Virgil, I'm fairly certain Paranoia is dealing with the the same." Logan said.
"Fairly certain." I heard Virge mutter.
"I'm sure you'll remember soon enough." I said.
"Yeah, hopefully." Vi said. He pulled his knees up to his chest, pulling his sweater over his knees. "I'm still confused as to why I'm wearing this, though."
"Me too..." I said.
"You said they were singing a song about a 'freak show', correct Roman?" Logan asked. I nodded. "Well, perhaps it has to do with the 'freak show' they mentioned. Him and Paranoia were the freaks, and Macaji was the... ringmaster, I suppose would be the correct terminology."
"Yeah, it definitely was like a circus, that's for sure." I said.
"And which circus freak am I, exactly?" Virgil asked with a smirk.
"Hmm..." I mused, looking at him up and down. I went up to his ear. "Mine." I whispered. Virge turned bright red.
"You're not wrong." Vi whispered back.
"I know I'm not." I whispered, then I laid back against the couch.
"So. You should remember in the next... week or so, if you remember at all, Virgil. Anyway, I should be taking my leave." Logan said, standing up.
"Okay, bye Logan." I said.
"Bye." Virge said, doing his little salute.
"So, now what? We just... wait and see if me or Paranoia remember?" Virgil asked.
"Well, we don't have to just wait and see." I said. "We could do something."
"Hmm, like what?" Virge asked.
"We could go into Imagination, have a little time to ourselves, have a break for once." I suggested.
"Yeah. That sounds nice. We never can catch a break. But... what if we see Macaji? Or Dian? Or a Dragon-Witch, not Amai or Lin, obviously. Or... I don't know... what if something happens, Roman?" Vi asked.
"I'll be there, and I'll protect you." I said.
"But... what if Dian's there? He'll keep you from protecting me. What if he makes you attack me again? Or just stand there, while I get hurt? Or-" (me trying to convince my friends that telling someone something is a bad idea, I literally name every reason I shouldn't, or every possibility)
"Virge, calm, please. I promise, we'll be fine, okay?" I asked.
"O-okay..." he said.
"So, wanna go to Imagination?" I asked. Vi nodded. "You're sure?"
"Yeah. It'll be nice. Besides, you'll be there to make sure I don't get hurt, or freak out."
"Yeah, I will, promise." I said.
"Good. Now let's go, before I change my mind." Virgil said, standing up.
I stood up too, and grabbed his hand, and we went into Imagination.
"Pick a direction." I said.
"Uh... that way." Vi said, pointing in a direction.
"Okay." We walked in that direction for awhile.
"I'm not the only one who's noticed we never get a break, right?" I asked.
"No. I have." Virge said.
"Do you remember who's the author of the book we're apparently in?" I asked.
"Tessa. So... it's her choice. Her fault..." Vi said, realizing what I already have and slowed down to a stop.
"Yeah, kinda. I don't entirely blame her. She needs something to write about, after all." I said.
"Well, yeah, but why only angst? Can't she write fluff for once?" (NOPE. I can't. Too hard. We don't rp it, I can't write it. Never mind that, but I'm just better at angst)
"True... we can ask when we get back." I said.
"Okay..." I could tell Virgil was still thinking about it. Or something, at least. I kissed his cheek, so he wouldn't start worrying about anything. "What was that about, Princey?"
"What? I can't kiss my boyfriend?" I asked.
"Of course you can. But next time, don't miss." Virge said.
"What do you mean?" I asked, knowing exactly what he meant.
"I'm sure you know." Vi said.
"Well, if I missed, correct me." I said. Virgil smirked, then kissed me.
A few minutes later we pulled away, panting slightly.
"Don't forget to breathe." I said.
Virge glared at me.
"Whatttttttttt?" I asked. I knew perfectly well that I didn't remember to breathe most of the time, either.
"Hypocritical bitch." Virgil said. Then in my ear, "But you're my hypocritical bitch." (I almost forget to add that jewel of a line)
I must've turned more red than my sash.
"That's right, just like how you're my Chemically Imbalanced Romance." I said. Luckily it had the desired affect, and Virge blushed. "Do you wanna stop here?"
"Sure." Virge agreed.
I imagined a picnic blanket, and laid it down, then sat on it.
Vi sat on my lap.
"My spot now," he said with a smirk.
"I'll always be your spot." I replied. (Why do I feel like there's a dirty joke I'm missing there?)
"That's nice, to know I always have a reserved spot."
"Always."

Okay, I'm just wondering, what exactly do you guys like about this book? The story? The angst? If it's something easy, or like, possible to control, so not like, my writing skills, or something, I'll try and do more. I'm just wondering, because after noticing that there are still new people reading this, that I may need to update my writing, ya know? Go for what the fans want. So, tell me in ze comments, please.
That's it, so
