Night Terrors?

Romans POV

All day, Virge was helping Logan with Patton's cold, and even though it wasn't every hour of the day, we didn't have much time together. It's not like I thought it was wrong, him helping deal with a man who is basically his dads, cold. I just wished that we had more time together.
All day, I tried to watch Disney movies, but every time I tried, I would either start thinking about Virgil, or he would come into the room for a little bit, so we'd cuddle.
Really, I didn't watch an entire Disney movie all today.

When it became dark out, and Patton had fallen asleep for the night (with Logan, unsurprisingly), Virge came back into the living room, looking not all that good. His eyeshadow was smudged, his hair was disheveled, and he just generally didn't look very good.
He had been running around all day, getting stuff to help Patton feel better, so I guess it made sense...?
Maybe not.
"Hey Ro." Vi said, tiredly, as he walked over to me.
"Hey Vi. Are you tired?" I asked, as he sat down next to me.
"No, no I'm good." Virge said, obviously trying to stifle a yawn.
"Are you sure, babe?" I asked, wanting to be sure.
"Yeah, I'm good." Virge assured me.
We watched The Little Mermaid, and eventually I noticed that Vi had fallen asleep.
I wasn't surprised.
I carefully picked him up bridal style, and took him into his room.
As I had been carrying him, he had grabbed a handful of my shirt, and when I tried to put him down, he wouldn't let go. So, I did the only thing I could that wouldn't wake him up, and crawled in after him.

When I woke up, Virge was still asleep, and still holding onto my shirt.
I wasn't complaining.
So, I stayed still, looking at sleeping Vi. His face was so calm, and he didn't look scared of everything.
That is, until he did look scared.
Suddenly, he started freaking out, and I wasn't sure what to do. It was still early, so I didn't want to wake up Patton, especially while he was sick, and Logan...
Well, Logan might know something about this.
So, I tiptoed into Patton's room, and gently shook Logan, while trying not to wake Patton.
"Hey Logan." I whispered. "I need your help, nerd!"
"R-Roman?" Logan was shocked, to say the least.
"Yes, now I need your help, please."
"What exactly would require my assistance at," he looked at the clock, "5 in the morning?"
"Virgils freaking out... I would've asked Patton, but since he's sick... I think he's having a nightmare, and I'm not sure what to do!" I explained as Logan grabbed his glasses.
"Ah, I see." Logan said.
"What?"
"I can see now. I put my glasses on." Logan said, completely serious.
"Ok, Doc, well come here." I said, leading him to Virges room.
Virgil had gotten worse in the brief time I was gone. He was shaking, crying and whimpering, but he was still asleep.
"Ah, night terrors." Logan said. "These are fairly common, and are typically known as 'nightmares'."
"Yes, I know, Doc, but what should I do?" I asked.
"Well, I'd suggest calling Dr. Picani." Logan suggested, and he started heading back to Pattons room. "I can't do much with this, but Dr. Picani's a therapist... he might know."
"Thanks Logan." I said, and called Dr. Picani.
He came a few minutes later, and I took him to see Virge, all the while apologizing for the late time.
"It's fine, I was awake anyway, watching cartoons." Picani explained.
"Well, thank you nonetheless, Dr. Picani."
"Please, call me Emile. Now, where's Virgil?" I had told him Virges name so he wouldn't keep referring to him as 'the patient'.
"He's in his room. I will warn you though, it isn't the nicest room ever." I explained.
"That's fine, I've probably seen worse." Emile said.
"Here he is." I said, opening the door to Virges room.
"Ah... the night terrors." Picani said.
"Yeah, Logan already said that... what can I do about it, though?" I asked, wanting to stop this for Vi.
"Well, if you wake him up, he'll be in shock, so let him sleep, but try calming him. Y'know, rubbing circles on his back, saying good things... things like that." Emile explained, and I went over to the bed.
I started rubbing circles in his back, and it seemed to help a little bit. I gave him a quick kiss on the top of his head, and that seemed to help more.
So, I kept rubbing circles, whispering 'I love you' and kissing his head, forehead, cheeks...
I just wanted this to be over with.
It didn't always work. At the beginning, the kisses and circles were enough to calm him some, but then he went back to shaking.
"Virge, honey, it's fine! I'm right here!" Emile stayed in the room, but didn't do much except whisper encouragements across the room.
"You're doing good, Roman! If this is like any of my other cases, he should be fine soon!"
But I knew that Virge wasn't like the others. He was Anxiety. The literally personification of anxiety. He wouldn't be like the other people Dr. Picani saw, of that I was sure.
But, I kept trying. Kept doing the circles, whispering 'I love you' and kissing him.
Eventually, he woke up, and hugged me.
He was crying, so I kept with the circles, saying "It's okay to cry, Virge. Just let it all out."
He cried for awhile, but eventually got it all out.
When he did, he noticed Emile.
"Who's that?" Vi asked, scared.
"Vi, this is Dr. Picani... I wasn't sure how to help you calm down, and Logan suggested him, so I called him and he came to help." I explained, as Emile went to shake Virges hand.
Virge his behind me. "Sorry, Emile. He's a little... shy when meeting new people." I said.
"Oh, that's fine!" Emile said. "In my profession, you get used to the shy, the anxious... the weird. I've seen it all!"
"I'm sure you have, Emile. Thank you again, for the help." I thanked him again as he started to leave.
"Oh, it was not problem. Call me if it happens again, ok?"
"I will, bye!" I said, waving as he left.
