Romans POV
My therapy session went well. Emile helped me understand that, I had a phobia of a loved one leaving, ever since me and my brother were split up, him being a Dark Side and me being a Light Side.
"It's normal with how your upbringing was. You and your brother at one point, were one. Then, you split, and are now two completely different people. You can't even try and become friends, because of your social standings: Light and Dark Side. And besides, Remus would probably just say something crazy and ruin it, so there's no way you guys could be like brothers and hang out." Emile explained.
"Yeah, you're right, I guess..." I said.
"And, because of your phobia, you would do anything to protect said loved ones, even if doing so would hurt you. Now, I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's not always the best thing to do. You're not always the best for a job. Sometimes, someone else is."
"Yeah, that one you're right about. I even dream about saving my loved ones, even if doing so kills me." I said.
We talked for awhile, and he helped me a lot. I definitely needed that therapy session, I guess.
——
When I got back to the Mind Palace from the therapy session, Patton was already making dinner.
"Oh, hey kiddo! How was therapy?" Patton asked as I walked in the door.
"It was good. I think I really needed it." I said.
"Well, at least you did get it! Dinner will be ready soon, go play with Virgil." Patton said, and he went back to focusing on cooking dinner.
"Got it." Logan corrected from the couch, reading his book.
I went to Virge's room and knocked.
"Come in, Princey." Virge said.
"How'd you know it was me?" I asked, opening the door. Virge took off his headphones, and sat up.
"Patton's making dinner, and Logan's reading his book on the couch, so I doubt he'd willing to talk to me." Vi explained.
"Fair enough." I made my way to the bed, and sat on Virge's lap.
"So, how was therapy?" Vi asked.
"It wasn't that bad. Emile's a good therapist, and he definitely helped me." I said.
"Okay, I was just making sure." I looked at him, confused. "I could hear you and Patton talking, but I needed to make sure you were serious."
"Oh. No, it's true. He explained that I had a phobia of a loved one leaving." I said, and told Virgil what Emile told me about myself. (No, I'm not rewriting it, scroll up)
"Well, I guess that makes sense." Virge said after I finished.
"Yeah. I was a little confused though..." I said.
"What confused you? It all made sense to me."
"Well, he mentioned that me and Remus were once one, and I know it's true, but... I don't remember it, at all." I said.
"Oh." Virge said.
"Yeah. D'you know?" I asked.
"No, I don't. Maybe Linnéa does, or Remus. I'm sure Remus does." Virge said.
I sighed. "Okay, I'll ask him... mind if I call him here?" I asked.
"Not really... but I don't want him eating his deodorant, making my room smell, or trashing my room, like the trash rat he is." Virgil said.
"Well, I can try." I said. "Remus!"
"Jeffrey Dahmer!" Remus called as he popped into being.
Virge jumped. "Right, I forgot about his... dramatic tendencies."
"Virgil! So nice to see you! It's been too long!" Remus said.
"Actually, it hasn't been long enough." Virge muttered.
"He helped save you and Kingsley, remember that, Virgie." I said.
"Right, sorry. Thank you for saving me and Kingsley, but I still don't really like you, or Janus." Remus shrugged.
"Fair enough. Now, why did Roman call me here? He never calls me."
"Right. I was going to ask... do you remember when we were one?" I asked.
"You don't?" Remus asked. I shook my head.
"Oh... don't worry. We ruled with our sister, Queen Friendship. We were called King Creativity. She split when we did, becoming Secrets and Honesty, two things that have to do with friends. Y'know, you keep secrets with them, and are honest with them... apparently. They're more commonly known as Faye and Linnéa, and just like us, they're twins, except they're non-identical." Remus explained, and I was surprised.
"L-Linnéa?" I asked. Remus nodded. Virgil was as surprised as me.
"So, Linnéa's royalty... how come she doesn't live in the castles with us, or rule a kingdom?" I asked.
"Well, Linnéa and Faye decided they wanted to live life as commoners after they split, rather than be, and I quote 'narcissistic, stuck-up royals'."
"Oh... but, why don't they have money?" I didn't care if I was asking too many questions, I wanted answers!
"Well, they wanted to start from scratch, pretend they were never royalty, so Linnéa moved away from your castle, but had Faye stay close, so that they'd have better business." Remus said. "Now, can I go? I have better things to do!"
"Sure." I said, and Remus disappeared. "Now, I'm wondering what those 'better things' are."
"Yeah, me too. But I'm also not sure if I want to know." Virge said.
"True, true." I agreed.
"Dinner!" Patton called.
"Well, we should go eat." I said.
"Yeah." Virge said, and I got off of his lap.
——
(I'm not writing awkward dinner conversation, gosh darned it!)
After dinner, I had to do the dishes. Virge sat on the counter, talking to me.
At one point, he booped me on the nose, so I booped him back, forgetting my hands were wet.
"Dry your hands, Princey!" Virge exclaimed, slapping my hand away.
"Sorry, Virge, but you shouldn't be surprised. I'm doing the dishes." I said, and continued doing the dishes.
"Yeah, yeah," he grumbled. Then, he booped me on the nose, so I knew I was forgiven.
"D'you want to get wet?" I asked.
"No." Virge said simply, then he hopped off of the counter, darting into the living room.
I quickly finished the dishes, and ran to go and get Vi back.
"I know you're in here, Virgie." I said. I heard a giggling sound, but wasn't sure from where, other than it was from in the room.
"Where are you?" I asked.
No answer.
"Okay, hide and seek, round 2. I won't lose this time!" I said, and started searching the ground, since Virge was able to make himself small, so I checked under the couch.
No one.
Behind the couch?
No one.
This went on for a little bit, not as long as last time.
"Okay, okay, where are you, Virge?" I asked, and looked up, and saw him.
He was on top of the bookcase.
"How'd you get up there?!" I asked, incredulous.
Virge started laughing, obviously having held it in for awhile. He ended up on his back, rolling around for a little bit. Obviously, my attempt to find him must've been hilarious.
"Don't fall!" I exclaimed when he started rolling.
He ignored me.
When he finally calmed down, he just stayed there.
"I'm not getting down," he said.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"You have to come get me, Princey." Vi said, smirking.
Oh no.Just gonna get this out there.
Seven, you already know I'm copying, and I had to add this part! I know you haven't said much, but still.... the discord server is free to use!
