Also, yee, early part bc I can)
Roman's POV"Wait, guys." Jamie suddenly said. We had been walking, trying to find something, anything, as to where Kole and the mystery dude had gone.
"Yeah?" I asked, stopping when Jamie did.
"What if... what if Virgil is who they killed. They had been talking about killing someone. What if it was Virgil who they killed?" Jamie asked.
"No... oh no, no, no, no, no..." I said. Virge couldn't be dead, right? Right? "Please don't tell me he's dead, please."
"I don't think so. He would've been more on edge if he saw his death." Lin pointed out.
"Yeah... yeah, you're right." I agreed. She has to be. There's no way Virgil wouldn't tell me if he was dreaming of his death, right?
"He would've said something." Jamie said, almost like he could read my thoughts, even though I was sure he couldn't. "He's not suicidal, though from what Kole's told me, he wouldn't pass up an opportunity to die."
"Yeah..." I said, trying to convince myself.
"It still worries me that we haven't seen him since the living room, though." Jamie said.
"Yeah..." I agreed.
"But don't worry, I promise we'll find him, Roman." Jamie said, turning to me.
"Okay." I said.
——
After awhile of walking, we came across a theatre.
"That's new." Lin said.
"It's never been here before?" I asked.
"No. I've never seen it." Lin said.
"How did this just appear here?" Jamie asked.
"Well... maybe someone imagined it?" I suggested.
"Yeah, no duh. I meant, why is it here, and now especially. That's a little suspicious. And what was it that Kole said right before he disappeared? 'Show's about to start, don't be late', something like that?" Jamie asked.
"Yeah. A show." I said. I walked up to the door of the theatre and tried to open it. It was unlocked.
We went in quietly, not wanting to let anyone know we were here, especially if that mysterious dude was here.
In the theatre there was rows upon rows of seats, and a stage. On said stage, Virgil, Kole and the mysterious guy were. Virge and Kole were wearing clothes that they normally wouldn't (look at the photo on top, that's what they're wearing). It's almost like... a circus, or something. Virgil and Kole were sitting back-to-back, eyes closed, while the other dude was pacing.
I was about to call out to Vi, when I felt a hand go over my mouth.
"Shh, I don't think they've seen us yet." Jamie whispered.
"Mmf!" It was all I could say.
"Shh." Jamie whispered again.
"Where the fuck are those dim wits?! We're way off schedule!!!" The mysterious dude exclaimed. We're not dim wits.
"Calm down, Macaji." Virgil said. So his name's Macaji.
"Are they here?? NO!" Macaji yelled. Virge didn't even flinch, neither did Kole.
"Calm down. They shouldn't be that much longer. Especially knowing Roman. He would've wanted to find Virgil right away." Kole said. I mean... he's not wrong.
"Ugh." Macaji said, sitting down at the edge of the stage, his legs hanging off the edge.
"Isn't it weird that Kole was yelling at whoever it was about an hour ago, and now he's acting like this?" Jamie whispered.
"Yeah. Plus what they're wearing. Virgil would never wear that by choice." I whispered back.
"Neither would Kole." Jamie said, a little too loud. Macaji looked up, and smirked. He stood up.
"Welcome to our show!" Macaji said, and he clapped and we were teleported to the front row, except Lin stayed back there.
"What about Lin?" I whispered to Jamie. Vi opened his eyes, looking out to the house.
"I don't know... she should be fine." Jamie reassured me.
Kole opened his eyes, doing the same as Virge and looking out to the house. (This song is Freak by Sub Urban)
"Welcome to our freak show, come meet my monsters,
Oh, such a fine collection of stranger things." Macaji sang. (Back to just names)
"This is the show Kole mentioned..." I said.
"My patience running thinner on this melting clock." Macaji.
"Seems like it." Jamie said.
"Cerebrum jailed with thoughts, most would consider rot,
To think you're any different from an animal,
A creature sick as you should be put down,
But I can't help myself." Macaji.
"Oh-na-na-na-na, oh-na-na-na-na,
Oh-na-na-na-na, oh-na-na-na-na." Virgil and Kole.
"Welcome to our freak show (Oh-na-na-na-na),
Come meet my monsters (Oh-na-na-na-na),
Oh, such a fine collection of stranger things (Oh-na-na-na-na)." Macaji. Virgil and Kole are in the parentheses.
"What the fuck is happening?" Jamie asked.
"Wish I knew." I replied.
"Please, don't hide your imperfections nature,
Took two tries to make the man in white,
No, I don't mind, you are a beauty,
Not temptation, you're my creation." Macaji sang, then he clapped teleporting us on the stage.
"The one time I don't wanna act..." I muttered.
"Freak o' Friday night, know I'm the main attraction." Virge and Kole sang. Virgil walked up to me, caressing my cheek.
"Basket acrobat, they wanna see some action." Virgil and Kole. Virge grabbed my wrists.
"Tinkering with my design, twist and turn my feral mind." Vi and Kole. He pulled me with him as he walked back on the stage.
What does Macaji want? I thought.
"Play with me 'til you've found another toy." Virgil whispered in my ear. (Kole's doing the same to Jamie)
"You're not a toy, you're my boyfriend, and I won't find anyone else." I said. Virgil rested his arms on my shoulders.
"Let me be your freak show, I could be your favorite monster." Virge sang.
There was hoops hanging from the ceiling. Vi grabbed the one closest to him, pulling himself onto it, and leaning back, but not falling.
"Rattle my whole cage, remind me why I can't be fostered." Virge sang. He hung from his legs, upside down.
"Let me be your freak show, I could be your favorite monster." He flipped off the hoop, landing in front of me.
"Lock me up, don't let me out 'cause you know I-" Virge sang, then in my ear, "-can't help myself." Then he and Kole went back to back again.
"Oh-na-na-na-na, oh-na-na-na-na,
Oh-na-na-na-na, oh-na-na-na-na." They sang.
"Welcome to our freak show (Oh-na-na-na-na)
Come meet my monsters (Oh-na-na-na-na)
Oh, such a fine collection of stranger things (Oh-na-na-na-na)." Macaji. Virge and Kole are yet again the parentheses.
"You're wasting." Virge.
"You're wasting all." Kole.
"Of your time finding a cure when there's no disease." Macaji.
"You're wasting." Virge.
"You're wasting all." Kole.
"Of your talent on an audience who sees a freak." Macaji.
"Oh-na-na-na-na, oh-na-na-na-na
Oh-na-na-na-na,
Can't help myself." Virge and Kole sang as they stood in front of their partners.
"Welcome to our freak show (Oh-na-na-na-na)
Come meet my monsters (Oh-na-na-na-na)
Oh, such a fine collection of stranger things (Oh-na-na-na-na)." After they finished, Macaji clapped his hands, disappearing, and Virgil and Kole fainted. Me and Jamie quickly caught them.
"I'm confused." Jamie said.
"Me too, but we should get them back to the Mind Palace." I said.
"Yeah." Jamie agreed. Then Lin ran up to us, having hid behind a chair so she wouldn't be seen.
"Do you know how to get back to the door from here?" Lin asked.
"Yeah, I think so." I said.
"Why did Macaji put them in such revealing clothing?" Jamie asked.
"I don't know... but we should see if we can find their clothes. There should be some changing rooms backstage. Do either of you wanna come help?" I asked.
"Sure!" Lin said.
"Okay. Jamie, mind watching them? Just yell if Macaji comes back." I said. Jamie nodded.
We went into the dressing rooms, finding their normal clothes fairly quickly.
We went back and saw Jamie sitting next to Virgil and Kole on the floor.
"Here's Paranoia's!" Lin said, handing Kole's clothes to Jamie, who put Kole's jacket around his shoulders and picked him up. I put Virge's sweater on him, and picked him up.
"Are we ready to go?" I asked, after I picked up Virgil.
"Yeah, I think so." Jamie said.
"Okay. Well, let's go then." I said, and we left for the door between Imagination and the Mind Palace.
