CHAPTER SIX: Q&A
LUNA CROSSED HER ARMS over her chest as she patiently waited for her sister to speak. She was clearly confused on how Estella was alive.
"So, what're we doing? 20 questions? Trivia?" Estella asked. Luna wasn't amused.
"I don't know who the hell you think you are." Luna started as she took a step closer.
"I'm your sister. Estella. Remember her? You know, the one you left four years ago?" Estella spoke. "How about this. I ask the questions first, and then you answer them."
Luna huffed. "Fine. What do you want to know?"
"First off, who the hell is the blonde that glared at me and then looked at you like you were literally everything?" Estella cocked an eyebrow.
"That was my husband, Jasper."
"Husband?" Estella let out a laugh. "I'm dead for―︎like what?―︎five minutes and you get married? Thank for the wedding invitation sis, I really appreciate it. This leads me to my next question."
"Estella-"
"Why did you just leave me like that?" Estella asked, her tone completely serious as she looked at her older sister. Luna frowned before looking at the ground, tucking a blonde strand of hair behind her ear.
"Because I thought you were dead." Luna answered, her voice in a soft whisper.
"Well, I wasn't. I was put in a coma. When I woke up, I was expecting my sister to be there. Oh, but no. She was gone. Left the state. Came to this small ass town and apparently turned into a vampire. Why didn't you come back?" Estella asked, her head cocked to the side as she looked at her sister with a clenched jaw. She was upset and confused. Luna could see that.
"I was never told that you were alive, Estella. You can't really blame me for wanting to leave the state that only reminded me of my family's death." Luna responded, keeping her voice calm. Estella scoffed as she let out an amused smile.
"But you still visited our graves. And you didn't know mine was empty. You know, you could've came and visited August." Estella pointed out.
"I don't know if you've noticed, but August doesn't exactly like me. She kicked me out for a reason." Luna told her. "I didn't want to be forced to see someone that didn't want to see me in return."
"Yeah, I guess that's true." Estella sighed. She cleared her throat before letting a small smile cover her face. "Next question: what is up with the gold eyes?"
"We don't drink human blood, we drink animal blood. We call ourselves vegetarians." Luna quickly explained.
