CHAPTER SIXTEEN: ESTELLA'S STORY
"SO, I KNOW LUNA'S story, and I was hoping you wouldn't mind me asking what yours was." Alice and Estella walked through Port Angeles, their hands brushing against one anothers occasionally as they walked very closely to one another. Alice had wanted to go to Port Angeles for shopping whilst Estella wanted to go to get both her and her sister some new books to read.
Estella removed the hair from her left shoulder as she turned her head to look at the pixie. She shrugged her shoulders. "Well, it's simple really. My aunt, Autumn which I'm sure you've heard of from Luna-"
"The one that kicked her out, right?" Alice asked. Estella nodded her head.
"Yeah, that bitch. So, basically she's a whore that drinks and sleeps way too much. I had been cleaning up one day when I found these letter's Luna had written her. Autumn had told me she had no clue of Luna's whereabouts, therefore I couldn't exactly leave to find her. So, I was going through these letters a little pissed off, but I didn't get pissed off until I got to the letter that was addressed to me." Estella explained. She let out a sigh. "Autumn and I got into this big ass argument, and I packed my stuff and left. Well, I was driving and I slammed on breaks because there was a person just standing in the middle of the road. Well, I got out to check on them, but they weren't there and well, boom I got bit. Don't know by whom, but here we are. I fed on a few people by the way, it was tragic really."
Alice looked at the girl with a small frown. "I'm sorry that happened to you."
Estella shrugged her shoulders. "I mean, it's whatever."
"I don't know why, but deep down I was hoping that you had a choice. That you chose this life like Bella did." Alice said with a small frown. She shook her head. "That was selfish of me to think."
"So, Bella's the only one that chose to be a vamp?" Estella asked. Alice nodded her head. "Why?"
"Because she loves Edward."
"So much so that she would throw away her human life, her family." Estella quizzed with furrowed eyebrows. "All to be with a boy? It's not worth it. If it were someone that was in Luna's state, sure. Her family is dead, she only had Bella. But even then. . . a guy nor girl is really not worth it. No offence to you."
"None taken." Alice assured her with a smile. "Luna didn't want this life anyways."
"That's because she's intelligent and knows what she's doing with her life." Estella spoke. "She always was the smartest between the two of us. Well, mostly." The duo entered a clothing store, allowing Alice to flick through the clothing as they continued their conversation. "So . . . how quickly did your family accept Luna?"
"The first time they met her." Alice answered truthfully, pulling out a blouse and holding it up only to receive a disapproving look from Estella.
"The first time? That was it? Even queen bitch liked her?" Estella asked.
"Rosalie and Luna were actually friends before Jasper and Luna ever dated." Alice told the girl making her eyebrows raise in surprise. "Rose is the most. . . she doesn't like it when we associate with humans. Yet when she met Luna, she instantly became friends with her. We were all surprised, but relieved. Luna was still. . . fragile when we all met her. She still couldn't ride in a car without gripping so tightly onto either the door handle or seat belt without marks appearing on her skin.
"I've never seen Jasper so smitten with someone before and it was so adorable. Their love was so innocent when she was human, but when she turned. . ." Alice shook her head with a small frown. "She brings out the best in all of us."
Estella let a soft smile cross her features. "That's Luna for you." A sigh fell from Estella's lips. "Sucks that I'm the exact opposite."
Alice turned to look at her with a frown. "Everyone's allowed to be their own person, Estella. And whether you believe it or not, you are family to us now."
Estella offered her a small smile. "Well that's a good thing, you people are starting to grow on me." Alice chuckled before holding up another blouse, earning an approving nod from the younger Star sister.
