"You look hotter in the other one." Emma commented, laying on my bed as she watched me spin in front of a mirror, a navy blue dress on my body.

I had been sitting around waiting for tonight since this morning, trying to occupy myself with work and being productive. But my mind would wander to him and my phone, constantly checking to see if he tried to contact me. I hadn't been fixated on something like this in a long time, but I haven't had anything like this in a long time. Other guys had been different, and I never really had many feelings for them, or they ended up wanting me for one night and not a day more. I was glad I did the whole "one month" thing because I liked knowing people before I did anything with them. Lots of people thought it was funny, and I did at first as well, but I didn't like casual sex. I hated the feeling of waking up alone.

"But I don't want to look like too much." I told Emma, turning around to look at the back of it. "Then it'll seem like I'm a little desperate."

"You are a little desperate."

"Well yeah, but it's not like I want him to know..." I told her with a laugh.

"He won't. You're going out for a nice dinner, so this will he absolutely perfect." She stated, handing me the dress I had worn earlier.

I looked down at it and nodded.

"Okay." I agreed, not wanting to spend so much time on an outfit. "This is good."

"I'm so excited for you..." She said, sitting up with a smile on her face. "How long has it been?"

"Long." I told her with a laugh. "But I haven't had a date in a long time, so that kind of explains everything."

"You're too busy out of the damn country to get a date." She teased.

"Well I'm not leaving this country for a while now. So I'll enjoy everything while I'm here."

"I sure as hell hope so." She said, standing to her feet. "But we have forty-five minutes, so you're hair is already on the verge of disappointment if I'm doing it."

I heard three knocks on my door and looked to Emma.

"You should be gone." I stated and she laughed, rolling her eyes.

"He won't mind if I'm only here another few seconds." She said, walking out to the door where she answered the door before I could.

"You must be Andrew..." She said, shaking his hand. He had a bouquet of colourful flowers, looking a little confused as Emma introduced herself.

"You are definitely not Megan." He remarked and I grinned.

"I'm Emma." She said, opening the door further so he could see me standing a few steps away.

I could feel his eyes on the dress I wore and I smiled, feeling accomplished with the choice.

"You look amazing." He spoke, walking inside.

"And I believe this is my cue to leave." Emma said and winked at me before taking her coat and closing the door behind her.

"These are for you." He said, handing me the flowers that reminded me of springtime.
