Part 19

8 Years Later

Mumbai

Sanjeevani Hospital. One of the biggest hospital in the city. A girl walked inside the hospital in a hurry looking at her watch. Reaching the reception she smiled and said "Hey this is Naina Agarwal. I'm here for the interview". The receptionist looked at the girl who looked too small and young.
"You are Naina Agarwal ??"
"Yes"
"Ok. 6th Floor right side from the lift, community hall." informed the receptionist.
"Ok thank you" replied Naina sweetly heading towards the lift. Reaching the floor she turned towards right.
A man was coming from the same direction. He was busy looking at some files while Naina was busy stuffing some things in her bag. Both didn't look at the direction only to be bumped. Their shoulders touched as they collided but they were so eager to for their ways that they didn't pay any attention and moved on uttering a simple "sorry". The man turned back just to see the retarding figure of a girl with a small frame and slim fragile body. Her hairs were open and reached her waist. He was just lost in her view but his mind reminded him the emergency and he quickly reached the lift while the girl reached her destination.

"Nainaaaa ! Meri behnaaa ! Mujhe pata tha ki Tu toh select hogi hi !!! Haaye Congo !!!" exclaimed Preeti happily and hugged her tightly.
"Thank you diii" replied Naina.
"Joining kabse hai ??"
"Umm next week. Aaj Monday hai, next Monday se" answered Naina.
"Chal aakhri hafta chill maarne ko phir to madam busy busy ho jaaengi. Aakhri hafta kya Yaar, Itne Saalon mein kaunse toone maze kiye Hain. Humesha bas padhai padhai. Ye doctor banna Kitna tough hai Lekin Tu toh ban hi gayi Yaar." exclaimed Preeti hugging her tightly.
"Toh aaj toh party night !!! Pizza order karein ??" asked Naina joyfully.
"Yay bilkul !!!" answered Preeti full excitedly.

"Waise Di Aapke wo boss Ka phone Aaya tha abhi jab aap washroom mein thi" said Naina munching on her slice of pizza while Preeti stopped abruptly.
"Tttoone uthaya ???"
"Haan. Keh rahe the ki kal jaldi aana hai aur pending files complete Karni hai"
"Offo is khadoos ko bhi aur koi kaam Nahi hai. Jab Dekho tab files files" murmured Preeti angrily under her breath.
"Kuch Kaha aapne ??"
"Nahi toh ! Main kya kahungi. Jo bhi kahega wo boss hi kahega" replied Preeti controlling her anger.
"Waise usko aapko Kuch kehna tha. Aapne purani files complete nahi ki na toh shayad wo aap par bohot Bura chillane wale Hain" exclaimed Naina while Preeti clutched her slice tightly.
"Saala ch ..."

Slap slap

....

"Naina toone mujhe thappad maara ??" asked Preeti ki shock.
Naina's eyes were bloodshot red and she stared Preeti in anger.
"Haan Maine tujhe thappad maara kyuki mumbai aakar Tu badal gayi hai." screamed Naina.
"Tu pagal toh nahi ho gayi hai ?? Kya bole jaa rahi Hai ??" asked Preeti in confusion.
"Main kya bol rahi hoon ?? Tum kya bol rahi thi abhi ?? Yahan aakar Tumne ye sab gaaliyan Bolna chalu Kar Diya ?? Ye sab seekhne ke liye yahan aayi thi ?? Dekha tha Maine us din bhi tumhare doston ke Saath tumhe wo ghatiya language Bolte hue. Aap ye sab kaise bol sakti ho Di ??"
said Naina while Preeti became silent and lowered her eyes.
"Kyu ?? Jawab Nahi has ab ?? Di, ye sab galat hai. Aap please ye sab mat bolo na please. Please Di" said Naina as a tear rolled down her eye.
"I'm sorry Naina. I'm really sorry Naina. Mujhe pata hi Nahi Chala ki kab mujhe is sab ki aadat ho gayi aur main bhi is sab mein ghul mil Gayi." explained Preeti "but I promise main ye sab ab Nahi bolungi. Pakka. Thank you Naina mujhe right track par wapis laane ke liye" said Preeti hugging her tightly.
"Bas bas. Ab zyada senti mat Karo. Bas ek cheez bata do, is cheez ke alawa aur koi buri aadat toh Nahi lagi hai na aapko ??" asked Naina hopefully. Preeti looked at naina and asked in confusion "Naina Tu ye sab kyu pooch rahi Hai ?? Tujhe mujhpe bharosa Nahi hai kya ??"
"Nahi Di aisa Nahi hai. Bas laga isliye poocha."
"Kya Laga tujhe Naina Haan ?? Main kya yahan aiyaashi Karne aayi hoon ?? Tu ye sab aise kaise pooch Sakti hai ?? Apne kaam se kaam Rakh" said Preeti angrily while her voice stuttered a little making Naina doubt over her more.
"Agar aisa Kuch Nahi hai toh aap itna ghabra kyu rahi ho ??" asked Naina cocking her eyebrows.
"Enough Naina ! Main Teri Behen hoon. Tujhe mujhpe trust Nahi hai kya ?" said Preeti calmly.
"Poora bharosa hai isliye pooch rahi hoon. Chaan been Nahi Kar rahi" answered Naina smartly.
"Chalo main Aapka mood Nahi kharab karta chahti. Chhodo. Aur Haan. Koi boss Ka call Nahi Aaya tha. Main toh mazak Kar rahi thi. Ab jaldi se Khana khake so jao. Kal Aapka office hai na" said Naina while Preeti nodded.

"Chalo Di hum late ho jaaenge. Pehle hi din hospital late pahuchungi" exclaimed Naina as Preeti locked the door.
"Haan Haan chal rahi hoon. Marr mat." answered Preeti while Naina stared at her.
"Pehle local lenge phir station se auto lenge. Kyuki tera hospital mere office ke raste mein padta hai tujhe drop karte hue niklungi main." said Preeti as they walked down the building.

"Pata hai Di us din na interview mein itna zyada wala darr lag Raha tha na mujhe but fir Jaise hi baithi officials ke saamne, darr Apne aap hi bhaag Gaya" chuckled Naina. 
"Chal station aa gaya" said Preeti as they got up from their seats and made their way of the train.
"Arey Yaar ye auto Nahi milta Yaar. Roz Ka jhanjhat" chided Preeti as she crossed the road to catch an auto while Naina was standing at her place recieving a call.
Her eyes widened as a car approached  Preeti while she was blindly on the road.
"Pppreeti Di" called Naina running towards her while Preeti turned to see her and her eyes reached the car which glued her to her place in fear. Pushing her away, both rolled on the road as Naina saved Preeti while she too was saved but Preeti went unconscious in fear. Naina took a minute to keep herself still as her hand was jerked on the ground and was scratched. Her eyes laid on her sister.
"Pppreeti Di aankhen kholo please Di" said Naina shaking her.

"Emergency please !!" screamed Naina entering the hospital. Quickly the stretcher was called and Preeti was taken into the ward.
"Kya case hai ? Kya hua hai unhe ?" asked the doctor.
"Dekhiye unka accident Hona wala tha but she was saved. Darr se behosh ho gayi Hain. Pulse low ho gayi hai. Jaldi se drip lagaiye aur check kijiye ki koi internal injury toh Nahi hai" completed Naina while everyone stared at her in confusion as well as amazement.
"Arey kariye na!" said Naina when everyone stared at her.
"Aapne toh sab Kuch bol Diya hum kya karein ?? Aap doctor hain ??" asked the doctor.
"Haan. Mera aaj yahan pehla hi din hai joining Ka. Intro baad mein pehle aap please inka check up kijiye" instructed Naina.
"Ok. Ward boy Dr. Sameer bulakar Lao" said the doctor while naina's all attention was on her sister.
A man in blue shirt with white doctor coat over it entered the ward. His some hairs were falling on his head. He had partially shaved stubble which made him look extremely handsome while Naina hurried out for the formalities paperwork to be done, they bumped into each other. Naina made an irritating face and looked up at him while her eyes widened in surprise. His eyes fell on the little figure down there. The whole journey of two years of them flashbacked in their minds. There eyes spoke many unsaid stories and the last time they saw each other, broke them apart.
"Dr. Sameer inhe dekhiye" said the junior doctor. Their glance broke and he looked at him and the patient.
"Preeti?" he muttered while naina's eyelock broke and she looked back at Preeti. Sameer approached her to check while Naina moved out for the formalities to be taken out.

Naina stood out scared as hell. Although she's a doctor and she has to see many bitter cases in life bit when it comes to family, no matter small thing it maybe but it kills us. Sameer came out while Naina panicked and looked at Sameer.
"Preeti Di ??" stuttered Naina.
"Preeti bilkul theek hai. Koi internal injury Nahi hai waise toh. Fir bhi humne tests Karwa liye hain. Sirf sir par thoda sa scratch Aaya hai baaki nothing to worry" assured Sameer. Naina was somewhat relieved but Sameer could easily make out from her face that she was still tensed.
"Mere Saath aao" saying so he took her to his cabin.
"Sssameer" uttered Naina finally giving relief to sameer's heart. Her voice boomed in his ears like honey.
"Nnnaina" he said as her heart smiled and they hugged each other tightly. Sameer cupped her face looking into her teary eyes.
"Naina Preeti bilkul theek hai. Tum chinta mat Karo." assured Sameer while Naina nodded.

Phone Rings

"Ms. Preeti where are you ?? Do you know what's the time now ??" exclaimed Preeti's boss angrily.
"Good morning sir this is Preeti Agarwal's sister Dr. Naina Agarwal speaking. Sir Preeti Ka accident ho Gaya hai isliye main usey hospital lekar aayi hoon" informed Naina.
"Oh no. Is she alright ?"
"Yes sir she's good. Zyada chot Nahi aayi hai." assured Naina.
"Ok then take care"
"Sure"
Call ends.
Sameer was looking at Naina. He was  checking her from top to bottom. The beautiful little face, the slim figure and the cuteness she was born with. How did this drastic change take place ?? He wondered while Naina clicked in front of her. Naina wore her coat as she was called for some work while Sameer went to meet Preeti.
