Part 21

The bright sunlight now easily deciphered the thick curtains breaking her beauty sleep as the rays fell on her eyes. She moved herself changing the direction, trying hide from the sun but her sleep was now disturbed so she opened her eyes. The blurry vision cleared and she struggled to decipher the surroundings. She immediately got up sensing some unknown place and looked around. The room was well kept with two three paintings hanging and some posters adorned around. Two cupboards were kept which seemed to be opening and spilling the insides anytime. After surveying the room, she looked down at herself.

Scream

He rushed inside only to see her panicking and crying and holding her dizzy head.
"Naina Naina shh. Kya Hua" reached Sameer rubbing her back while she stopped crying looking at him.
"Ttum ?? Tum yahan kya Kar rahe ho ?? Mmain Kaha hoon ?? Yye kiska Ghar hai ?? Aaaur mere kapde Kahan hain ??" panicked Naina while Sameer struggled to calm her down.
"Mmere kapde Kahan hain ?? Ttumne Kuch Ulta seedha toh Nahi Kiya mere Saath ?? Mera sir itna kyu ghoom Raha Hai. Ugh. Kal Raat ??"
"Arey Chup" screamed Sameer at the top of his voice. "Ab bilkul chup. Chup chap meri Baat suno. Kal Raat ko hum Aditya aur Jatin ke Saath club Gaye the. Wahan Tumne juice samajhkar brandy pi li thi aur fir jab apan pub se bahar Aaye toh baarish bohot ho rahi thi aur tum poori bheeg gayi thi. Main tumhe Apne Ghar le Aaya aur neighborhood mein ek Di rehti Hain unhone Tumhare kapde change Kar diye the. Haan maana ki Tumne meri hi shirt pehni hui hai par madam, Maine tumhara koi fayda Nahi uthaya hai" completed Sameer moving out of the room. Naina stared at his retarding figure and then looked down at his shirt she was wearing. Wrapping her arms around herself tightly, she felt his warmth and his masculine fragrance could be sniffed. A small smile crept on her face while she looked out of the window. Sameer entered with a cup of tea and handed over to her saying "ye lo. Sir dard theek ho jaaega".
"Thank you" she muttered taking the cup. Sipping the hot tea her eyes laid on on the clock and she almost skipped her breath.
"Oh shit ! 10:30 ho Gaya !" she screamed but before she got up Sameer stood in front her saying "aaj night shift hai tumhari. Msg Aaya tha Raat ko. Sorry mujhe padhna pada kyuki tum so chuki thi". He began to move away from her when she held her hand from back. Sameer was stunned and he turned back while Naina shifted to make space for him to sit. Sameer settled down beside her while she was still holding his hand. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she kept her head on his shoulder an muttered "Thank you" softly. Sameer's eyes softened and he smiled wrapping his arms around her frame and caressing her hairs gently.

"Tumhari bhi night duty hai ??"
"Haan. Umm ice cream khaayein ??" asked Sameer seeing an ice cream parlor coming their way. Naina bobbed her positively while Sameer smiled. He knew how she always loved ice creams.
Munching over her favourite choco dip Naina adorned Sameer secretly while he was busy struggling with the ice creams drops that were flowing from the cone and he was licking them all from down to up. Naina chuckled seeing his antics while Sameer saw her happy which made him happy too.
"Sameer mujhe ek aur khaani hai"
"Naina already kal tum bheegi thi aur do do ice creams khaogi toh Sardi ho jaaegi" warned Sameer. Naina made a sad puppy face while Sameer couldn't resist himself from laughing as the tip of her nose was already adorned with ice cream and face she made, made her look extremely cute. Naina made a weird face and asked him. Opening his phone he showed her face while Naina felt extremely embarrassed and quickly cleaned her nose.
"Umm chalein" said Naina looking down in shyness.
"Kyu abhi toh ek aur khaani thi na" asked Sameer in a teasy tone.
"Umm wo Sardi ho jaaegi na. Isliye baad me fir Kabhi. Abhi chalo. Mujhe Ghar jaana hai" said Naina walking towards the car.
"Yaad hai Naina kaise hum school ke baad ice cream khaane jaaya karte the" exclaimed Sameer dreamily reminiscing those golden days. Naina who was irritated by the traffic, smiled lightly remembering those days.
"Aur wo paani Puri wali ladai ! Wo toh tum Nahi bhoole hoge na" reminded Naina while Sameer made a grumpy face and altogether ended up laughing.
"Tum yahan kab Aaye rehne ?"
"Bas Kuch ek Saal ho Gaya hai yahan. Tum toh abhi Kuch hafte pehle hi aayi ho. Bataya tha Preeti ne mujhe" completed Sameer while Naina made an "oh" face.
"Naina, Itne Saal, Itne Saal Kahan thi tum ??" asked Sameer while Naina stood silent and tried hard to ignore him looking out.
"Bolo na Naina." said Sameer again.
"Gaadi roko Sameer" said Naina abruptly. Sameer looked at her strangely and asked "kyu ??"
"Bas roko Sameer. Har sawal Ka jawab Hona zaroori Nahi" answered Naina reluctantly.
"Bas aa hi Gaya hai Naina. 5 minutes mein"
"Sameer roko please"
"Nahi Naina. Main tumhe aise raste mein Nahi chhodunga. Ghar bas aa hi Gaya hai chup chap baitho" answered Sameer stubbornly.
"Main gate kholkar kood jaaungi" threatened Naina. Sameer stopped the car at the side of the road and getting up from his seat, he moved towards her gate and opened it and let her out.
"Ye kaisi zid hai Naina ??" asked Sameer angrily holding her hand tightly.
"Haath chhodo Mera" said Naina trying to get back her hand.
"Nahi. Pehle Jawab do. Hua kya hai tumhe. Ek pal paas aati ho aur fir doosre hi pal door ho jaati ho. Ye kya hai Naina ?? Ye toh Tumne 8 Saal pehle bhi Kiya tha Lekin ab tum khudko harm Karne mein kyu lagi ho ?? Itni ziddi, itni alag, Jo ladki sirf Khush rehna jaanti thi wo aaj sirf halka sa muskurati hai. Ye toh wo Naina Nahi hai jisey main jaanta tha. Ye kaunsa Naina Hai ??"
"Wo Naina toh Marr chuki hai aur Kabhi wapis Nahi aaegi" replied Naina jerking his hand and walked away. Sameer stood rooted to his place as her words hit him hard.
"What the hell just happened in previous years ??" That was the only question running in his mind.

"Dr. Naina. Emergency case hai. Jaldi aaiye. Ward 4, 1st floor." informed the nurse. Naina quickly took her stethoscope and rushed to the place. 
"Kya Hua hai inhe ??"
"8 months baby hai and road accident Hua hai"
Naina quickly checked the pulse and blood pressure.
"Inke sir ki dressing kijiye and Hume operation se abhi hi delivery Karni hogi warna baby ko harm ho Sakta hai" informed Naina while nurse nodded. Naina moved out to the husband of the lady.
"Dekhiye Hume baby ki delivery abhi hi Karni padegi warna baby ko bohot harm ho Sakta hai and it's really important kyuki agar jald se jald Nahi kiya Gaya toh aapki wife ko bhi takleef ho Sakti hai kyuki unki injury bhi bohot gehri hai. So aap please jaldi se formalities poori Kar dijiye hum operation ki taiyaari karte Hain" completed Naina heading in.
"Ek minute ! Ye sab aap kya bole jaa rahi Hain. Aap doctor bhi Hain ?? Ya sirf ye coat pehenke ghoom rahi Hain. Abhi sirf 8 mahine  hue Hain. Aap bacche ko bahar kaise Nikal Sakti Hain. Nahi Nahi. Hume manzoor Nahi." declared the village man.
"Arey Dekhiye humare paas zyada time Nahi hai. Baby ko aur aapki wife dono ki Jaan ko khatra hai please try to understand. Jaldi se formalities poori kijiye" requested Naina while the man still denied.
"Dr. Naina please andar aaiye" called the nurse with a horrified voice. Naina quickly rushed in. Seeing the retarding condition Naina declared "operation ki taiyaari Karo. Hum aur Nahi Ruk sakte"
"But doctor formalities ??" asked the nurse.
"Uss sab Ka time Nahi hai abhi please. Agar abhi baby ko Nahi nikala toh bohot Der ho jaaegi." completed Naina.
Quickly everything was set up. Soon the operation was done and baby was born. Since it was a premature baby so it was kept in NICU.
"Congratulations aapko beti hui hai. And kyuki wo premature hai isliye usey NICU mein rakha Hai." informed Naina smiling.
"Dr. Naina wo patient" stuttered the nurse.
"Kya hua ??" asked Naina.
"Wo patient ne toh dam tod diya. She's no more now" informed the nurse which was much audible to the man too.
"Ye kya Kiya Aapne ??? Meri biwi ko maar Diya Aapne !!! Ek toh ladki ho gayi upar se meri biwi bhi maar Di. Arey aap doctor ho ya shaitaan." screamed the man gripping on her hair tightly while the staff gathered all around.
Itni si chokri ko yahan kisne doctor Bana Diya. Maa baap ne toh Kabhi socha hi na Hoga ki ye doctor wagerah ban paaegi aur Shaadi bhi Nahi ho rahi hogi itni choti si ladki ki toh, ab doctor ban gayi aur meri biwi ki Jaan le lo. Chhodunga Nahi main tujhe !!! Jaan se maar doonga". Sameer rushed towards Naina but before that, Naina punched on his stomach while his grip on her hairs loosened and Naina slapped him tightly saying "How dare you say about my personal life and matters ??" screamed Naina while everyone was stunned by her behaviour.
"Aap hote kaun Hain mere baare mein bolne wale ?? Main kabse bol rahi thi formalities poori kijiye, zyada time Nahi hai par aap sunne ko hi taiyaar nahi. Fir bhi Maine Bina papers ke operation Kiya Jo ki ab mujhse ye job chinva bhi Sakta hai. Agar aur Der ho jaati na toh na aapki beti bachti aur na hi aapki wife. At least aapki daughter toh bachi na. Aur aap kya keh rahe the ?? Beti ho gayi. Agar betiyan Nahi hongi toh ladke kaise paida honge, ye socha hai ??? And please, agar aap apni beti ko Nahi sambhal sakte toh usey Kisi Acche orphanage home mein Dede aur uski Zindagi usey aise din Raat kosne mein barbaad na karein" completed Naina with a sigh "and I'm sorry ki hum aapki wife ko Nahi bacha sake baaki please hospital ki formalities poori Kar dein. It's really important." added Naina walking away.
