"Stella, you're needed downstairs. Lisa is here."
"Okay mum." I say, while
hurrying downstairs with my purse and the keys to my Lambo.
We drove to Rosewood mall which is quite far. On entering the building Lisa says;
"Have you received your screening result yet?"
"No. Which is quite strange."
"I think it's high time you visited the hospital."
"I already contacted them; I booked an appointment for next tomorrow." I say.
"Did they give you any reason for the delay?"
"Just a vague reply that the programme is yet to be concluded." I reply.
We eventually did some window shopping and went to the food court to chill out before going home.
"I have something to tell you."
"What did you do?" Lisa asks suspiciously
"Well, I actually met Ryan about 2 weeks ago. He came for a conference."
"Are you for real?" she asks
"As real as aliens." I nod.
"Why didn't you invite me? I would've loved to meet him, you know."
"I wasn't sure if you were interested." I lie. Lisa gives me a pointed look.
"Okay! You were annoying that day." I confess.
"Is there any day I'm not annoying?" Lisa says.
"Good thing you know" I mutter.

As I park my car in the garage. I hear my phone ringing in my purse.
(Who could that be? Anyone who knows me should also know how I despise calls).
"Hello?"
"Hello, am I speaking with Stella Davis?"
"That's me." I affirm
"Your presence is urgently needed at the Rosewood General Hospital"
(Say what now!)
