Chapter 14

Airi was finally being released from the hospital. Her injuries were almost all gone. Her leg was still in some pain, but she's walking around in a leg cast. She hasn't seen Kaiba since the day she kissed Allister.

Airi and Allister decided to go out. Even though he knew he was going to be a rebound, Allister wanted to keep Airi by his side. While she packed her things, she got a text from her brother, saying he was going to be a little late.

Airi decides to go visit the children's ward. They loved listening to her sing and they were very entertaining. She peeked her head in and saw Mokuba talking to the kids.

"Mokuba? What're you doing here?"

Mokuba looks up and smiles. "Oh hey Airi!" He runs over and gives her a hug. The children run over as well and hug her.

"I heard you got dismissed! That's great!"

"Yeah and what about your brother? Is he out as well?"

"Yeah, he's getting dismissed too. He's gotten tired of staying here. I excused myself because he had a urgent phone call to attend to."

"I see."

"Nee-chan you're leaving?"

"You can't leave!"

"Sing us a song before you leave!"

The kids all shout around her and she calms them down.

"Alright, I will." She sits down and starts to sing a song. The kids listen and Mokuba decided to record her. She had the voice of an angel and everyone knew that. Once she was done, Mokuba and the kids all clapped.

Airi walks out and Mokuba follows her. "I'm surprised you aren't famous. Your voice is amazing."

Airi laughs and waves her hand. "Oh please, it's not that serious!"

They laugh until Airi hears a voice that makes her freeze.

"Mokuba."

"Oh Seto! Are you ready to go now?"

"Yeah, let's go."

Mokuba waves goodbye and before Kaiba leaves, Airi calls out to him.

"Uhm, Kaiba?"

"What?"

"Glad to see you're leaving. Take care of yourself, okay?"

"Oh? You're being worried about me? That's real funny."

"What do you mean?"

"You have no right showing your face around me. We are strangers and you seem to have moved on real quick."

"You......" Airi felt herself getting angry but calmed down.

"Whatever. I have nothing more to say to you." She walks away and suddenly Kaiba feels a pang in his heart.

He groans in pain and falls to the floor. Airi heard the noise and turns around. "Kaiba!" She walks over to him and holds him.
