When I arrived home I straight went to bed in order to avoid speaking to Hoseok. No one woke me up nor asked me any questions. The following morning, the bag was no longer where I'd left it. They did it for me.. They buried my past and let me live the life that I wanted. In time, I stopped thinking about the family that had deserted me and I was able to find happiness in the little things around me.

A few weeks later....

Spring came. A thick blanket of white melted and revealed the ground underneath, letting it breathe again and surround us with various scents. I enjoyed taking long walks in the lovely weather. Occasionally, I would feel nostalgic and I had an uncontrollable desire to scream that life was not fair but then something changed me... I directed all my positive and negative energy to one goal - writing my story.. ''It's beautiful here! Where does this road go?'' I asked Hoseok. ''To heaven on earth. Every year I would anxiously wait for spring to come so I could go there.'' Hoseok said. ''I'm very excited to see that place that enchanted you so much.'' I said. ''It's ten minutes walk from here and... I thought we could use this time to talk.'' Hoseok said. ''That means you wanna talk about delicate issues....'' I said kinda scared. ''Yeah... I mean... It depends  how you look at it.'' Hoseok said. ''Alright... Tell me what you have in mind.'' I asked Hoseok. ''I was wondering... Are you ready to look for your father?'' He asked me and waiting for my reaction. ''I could do it, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea.'' I said kinda dissapointed. ''You deserve answers, Y/n. And your father is the only one who has them.'' Hoseok explained. ''Every time I searched for answers, I ended up getting hurt.'' I said. ''I thought you'd overcome that.'' Hoseok said. ''I came to a conclusion that I'm safe for as long as I'm here.'' I said. ''I see you've been using your laptop a lot recently. You've been writing something or keeping your diary?'' Hoseok asked me. ''I'm writing a story. It helps me understand myself better and while away the time too.'' I answered. ''I'd like to read it. Can I have a look?'' Hoseok asked. ''No, you'll read it when it's finished. They story's about me and it doesn't have an ending yet...'' I said. ''You already know how you can find a lot about yourself. That would help your writing.'' Hoseok said. ''I'll find out one day, but not now...'' I said.

It wasn't hard to guess what he was alluding to when he started to talk with me. In order not to be tempted into contacting my family, I made sure the laptop was always disconnected from the network. Now that the roads were clear, and mobile networks and wireless available - none of that was important to me anymore.

''If everyone were like you, Y/n, the world would be a much better place.'' Hoseok said sweet. ''Honestly, I don't know what made you say that, but thanks.'' I said smiling. ''I don't know many people who are able to cope with the burden you carry on your chest and stay happy at the same time.'' Hoseok said amazed. ''Maybe all that would be much harder if I didn't have you.'' I said and he gave me a warm kiss on the forehead and took my hand. ''We're getting close. Hold in tight and be careful not to slip. The terrain is rough here.'' Hoseok said. We slowed down and walked carefully and delicately. I was holding his hand tightly at the moment when he slipped and almost dragged me down with him. ''Watch out!'' I yelled at him. ''Huh! Oops! That was close! sshhh...'' Hoseok said and I suddenly started laughing out loud. I was waving my hands, trying to stay calm, but it was in vain - I would laugh even harder after that. Somewhere behind us, I heard a dog barking indistinctly, and seemingly trying to make me stop laughing.

''I could swear I heard a dog barking. Maybe he went astray in the woods! We have to find him!'' I said looking around me. ''We're far from the village. He couldn't have gone astray.'' Hoseok said. ''I can't leave before I make sure that dog's okay.'' I said looking at Hoseok. ''Does that mean you like dogs?"' Hoseok asked me. ''Did you hear it now?'' I asked again. ''Yes... It was supposed to be a surprise, but now that... Never mind...'' Hoseok said and I didn't understand it at all. He placed his backpack on the ground and carefully untied the already loosened strings. With no warning, a small furry head popped out and looked at me with eyes full of hope and expectation. I was thrilled! I got down on my knees and stretched my arms toward the puppy. He barked showing me how impatient he was to get into my arms.

''It seems he likes you!'' Hoseok said with a huge smile. ''Oh! He's so sweet! I adore him!'' I said smiling. ''I'm so glad you do. Now you have a new best friend.'' Hoseok said. ''Great! We'll be inseparable!'' I said happy. ''It looks like he shares you opinion.'' Hoseok said and he was smiling. ''Thank you! My little furry friend!'' I said and I took the puppy into my arms and the same instant, I knew we were going to become inseparable friends. It was love at first sight.

We went down along the beaten track and found ourselves in the clear. We could hear the gurgling of the river that was running through the woods and greeting the trees that were leaning over her. It seemed like the river was whispering the notes of its favorite song while it was running along. ''You were right! This is really heaven on earth!'' I said amazed by the nature. ''I knew you would like it.'' Hoseok said smiling. ''Can I let my new friend go near the river? What do you think.'' I asked looking at Hoseok. ''Go ahead. I'm wondering if he'll want to let go of you.'' Hoseok said laughing and as soon as I lowered him on the ground, he started running around my feet and standing on his back paws expecting I would take him into my arms again.

''He's happy! That means we're gonna get along pretty well.'' I said happy. ''Did you think of the name of your new pet?'' Hoseok asked me. ''Of course! I will name him Yoongi!'' I said looking at Yoongi. ''Not bad! Yoongi suits him just as well as pirate.'' Hoseok said. ''Yoongi Pirate!'' I said and I looked at Yoongi who didn't look that happy anymore. ''Oh, what is it cutie? You don't like it?'' I asked him. ''He'll get used to it. Yoongi, come over here! Catch this!'' Hoseok said.

It was a wonderful afternoon, one of those we usually dream of during the cold winter days. We were lying on the grass and enjoying the good weather. Everything was perfect till the moment I noticed he had a worried look on his face and a deep wrinkle formed across the middle of his forehead.

''What are you thinking?'' I asked him. ''How good it feels being here with you.'' Hoseok said. ''Then why are you frowning?'' I asked. ''There's something I haven't told you...'' Hoseok said sad. ''You know it yourself you can tell me everything. I don't understand why you're keeping it inside?'' I asked. ''I wanted to tell you earlier, but I never got the chance.'' Hoseok said and I was getting a little bit scared. ''What do you mean? We spend every minute together. You could've told me anytime!'' I said looking at him. ''I'd like to talk with you about your family.'' Hoseok said. ''Here we go again... I told you a million times..... It's better not to know everything.'' I said. ''You backed off and let life run its own course.'' Hoseok said. ''Yes... And I'm doing just fine.'' I said cause I don't wanna know anything about my family. ''You see... I wouldn't be at peace with myself if I didn't know the truth. I was wondering... If I could find something out about your family by myself.'' Hoseok said. ''Have you... Have you found something?" I asked kinda shocked. ''I'm sorry, Y/n. I had to search your name on the internet.'' Hoseok said and I didn't say anything. I let him tell me everything he'd found out. I listened carefully to his every word without looking at him until he mentioned my father.

''You found out something about my father?'' I asked him. ''Yes, Y/n..'' Hoseok said. ''And you're not gonna tell me what it is?'' I asked him. ''No. I want you to read it by yourself.'' Hoseok said. ''I understand.. I'll think about it...'' I said and Yoongi kept looking at me. ''Yoongi what do you want?'' I asked. ''He's hungry and I don't have any more crackers.'' Hoseok explained. ''That means we have to go back.'' I said and Yoongi became happy again.

''Y/n..'' Hoseok said and he firmly gripped my hand to stop me from getting up and then said it in a serious voice: ''I messed up, I know. But I could'nt resist it. You must be mad at me now..'' He said sad and I turned toward him and gave him a kiss. I wanted my kiss to be the remedy for everything that had been troubling him. He did something I least expect he would do. He stood up abruptly and almost the same second took me into his arms. I was laughing and laughing until the moment I realized he was going towards the river.

''Stop! What are you doing!?'' I asked him. ''I came up with the best way to cool our heads.'' Hoseok said. ''Put me down! Yoongi bit him!'' I yelled but Yoongi didn't listen. ''Good puppy, alright, I'll put your owner down!'' Hoseok said but then Yoongi looked at him mad and bit him. ''Huh! It's nice having a guardian!'' I said with a smirk. ''Great! I gave you a dog and now he's got all your attention. And he's not letting me come closer to you!'' Hoseok said jealous. ''There's one more thing.. He cheers me up!'' I said happy. ''Only because of your smile, will I forgive Yoongi bitting my pant leg and Yoongi smirked. ''Yoongi, be a good puppy!'' I smiled.
