Chapter 28; Dare to find me

I enjoyed all the love Taehyung was giving me. The kissed were a cure to my aching sould and they made me forget about my problems. "Ahem... I'm sorry for interrupting..." Jimin said out of nowhere. "Jimin! You're still here?!" I asked him shocked. "Hey, I didn't even know you were here." Taehyung said. "I just wanted to return the house keys. I forgot them in my pocket after I drove Y/n from the hospital." Jimin said. "Thank you for everything, Jimin. And I'm sorry... It seems I forgot to tell you that you can go home." I said. "It's not a big deal. I'm glad I was here when you needed me..." Jimin said and he looked at Taehyung as if he wanted him to undertstand that he didn't take good care of me. The tension in the air was almost tangible. I had to step in and calm them down.

"Tae, we're so rude. We didn't offer Jimin a drink." I said looking at Taehyung. "I'm sorry, man. Come, sit with us." Taehyung said to Jimin. "Thank you, but I'll have to take a rain check. I'm tired and I can't wait to go to sleep." Jimin said and I saw him to the door and felt that there was something else he wanted to tell me, but he didn't dare.

"Hey you... You're real femme fatale... How many hearts have you broken so far." Taehyung said looking at me. "You sound like you're jealous of Jimin." I said with a smirk. "Nah... I'm just kidding... I'm happy that you're mine." He said and then he took my hand and touched it with his lips. That made me smile and feel loved and secure. However, Taehyung had one more surprise for me.

"I think now is the perfet moment for this..." He said and I looked at him confused. I looked at his palm and saw my engagement ring. "You've had it the whole time!" I said happy. "Yes... I was keeping it with me." Taehyung said and he put the ring on my finger and kissed my hand again. That was when I realized my heart had finally found its home. 

The next morning....

Everything looks simple at night all the plans seem plausible and every problem can be solved. However, when you see the first rays of sun you realize that the reality is a bit different. Nothing can be solved over night. 

"Good morning, Love!" Taehyung said kind. "Good morning! What time is it?" I asked him. "It's almost noon..." Taehyung said with a little smile. "Noon!" I yelled and I jumped out of bed and went to take a shower and get ready for work as if nothing happened. I still refused to take Jinlin accusations seriously. I needed to clear my head... The feeling of warm water sliding down my face calmed me down and made the bad thoughts go away. I imagined myself standing under a waterfall on a warm summer day...

"Y/n, can I join you?" Taehyung asked out of nowhere. "I love that idea!" I said. "Let me help you." Taehyung said and he joined me in the shower and gently removed a lock of wet hair from my face. Then he carefully pulled me closer to him. He was kissing me slowly and whispering how much he was lucky to have me. 

"We really took our time... Pass me the towel, please!"  I said when we were done. "Here you go. Why are you in such a hurry. We have the whole day for ourselves." Taehyung said looking confused. "I thought it would be best for me to go to the office and make Jinlin change her mind about her decision." I said. "Y/n, why would you do that when you can spend the whole day with me?" Taehyung asked, he really want me to stay. "I wish I could just forget everything that happened yesterday, out something is still bothering me. I can't stand injustice!" I said brave. "I understand you completely, and it bothers me too, but think about it... What do you think you can achieve if you try to waltz into the company and you get stopped by security at the entrance?" Taehyung asked me. "They can't throw me out!" I said annoyed. "You can't know for sure. Besides, don't you think it would be better for you to lay low for a while? In that case, Noah won't consider you a threat anymore." Taehyung explained. "Hmmm.... That maked sense. Do you have a place in mind where we can lay low?" I asked him. "I'm thinking about the place where everything started, Y/n. It's time to create new memories... Just the two of us." He said and his idea sounded good. I instantly imagined what it wouldbe like to escape from all the negativity and just be with each other, alone. I'd lost so much. out finallly got a chance to find myself again.

We packed only necessary things and hit the road the same day. I was excited about returning to that beautiful mountain village. I had only good memories of it, in spite of everything, that happened to me. 

"I hope this trip will help me heal my wounds and remember only the good things." I said looking through the window. "Of course it will, my love. We'll be alone there, just the two of us, committed to each other." Taehyung said focusing on the road. "I'm looking foward to that too." I said. "We haven't told anyone where we're going. Are you okay with that?" Taehyung asked. "Yeah, I'm totally okay with that." I said with a smile. "I didn't expect that answer." Taehyung said. "What do you mean?" I asked him. "Well... You told me about your ecperience when you were in a coma. I thought you'd be afraid that something like that could happen again. That you'd get lost and nobody knew where you were." Taehyung explained. "Thanks for remiding me..." I said sad thinking about it. "I'm sorry, Y/n, but I have to be sure you're okay with all this. As far as I'm concerned, I'd be more than glad to escape from this negative energy." He said. 

I agreed with him completely. From time to time you have to let everything go and hope for the best. I looked at the back seat and saw my dog Yoongi there sleeping like a log. You know leaving your problems behind was much easier than I thought it would be. OOnce you learn how to snap out of everything and take care of yourself, you'll know you're finally alive.
