I felt sadness the same moment Jane and Jimin left Hoseok's home. They did so much for me and accepted me as a part of their family. But my heart let me in some other direction. ''Do you think they will be mad at us?'' Hoseok asked me worried. ''They won't... Jane saw what was going on between us and I believe she knew I'd stay here.'' I said. ''I'm glad you did.... And I hope you'll be here every day.'' Hoseok said sweet. ''I mean.... I'm not entirely sure that's a good idea.'' I said. ''Just go with the flow, Y/n.'' Hoseok said. ''Hello.... I'm back... I was...'' Jungkook said out of nowhere. ''Oh, you're finally here. Come sit next to Y/n and me.'' Hoseok said. ''I don't wanna... I came to grab a snack and I wanna go out again.'' Jungkook said. ''Please, Jungkook, tell us... How was your day?'' I asked the boy. ''Nice... Boring...'' Jungkook said. ''Ha! Make up your mind, Jungkook.'' Hoseok said excited. ''I don't know... I'm hungry...'' Jungkook said. ''Me too! We'll have dinner together. It will be great 'cause I have somthing to tell you.'' I said. ''What is it? Tell me, Y/n!'' Jungkook said excited. ''From now on you won't be bored 'cause I will stay here, with you and Hoseok.'' I said happy. ''You'll live with us?'' Jungkook asked shocked. ''If you're okay with that....'' I said. ''Jungkook, what do you think about this?'' Hoseok asked. ''Well... this is... Awesome! Hoseok, now you can't say no when I ask you to play board games with me.'' Jungkook said with a smirk. ''Huh? Yeah.... It seems like we have a new player on our team!'' Hoseok said. ''I'm glad you're happy, Jungkook, and I promise, we'll play board games a lot.'' I said. ''We can play right now!'' Jungkook said.
we spent the evening playing games and talking. Jungkook was tired, but he was trying his best to hide that. When he fell asleep with his head on the table, Hoseok took him to his room and tucked him in. I spent the rest of the evening in Hoseok's embrace and fell asleep in his arms - just like a child.
Several days later...
I was rarely alone, but I used he moments when no one was around to think about the only memories from the past I had. I was forcing myself to see those imagines in my head again and again as if I was afraid they would somehow disappear and leave me with nothing at all from my previous life. I was trying hard to hide my mood changed from the people around me. And those changes weren't that small... I was terrified by what I found out that day.
''Goodmorning my love! Uh... What took you so long?'' Hoseok said. ''Good morning handsome.'' I said. ''Oeh tell me every day how handsome I am.'' Hoseok said blushing. '' 'you so handsome''' He mocked me. ''hey don't mock me!'' I said blushing. ''I have to go to work soon, but I don't wanna leave you. I hope you'll have a good day... Do you have plans?'' Hoseok asked me. ''I haven't decided what to do today yet. I'll think of something, I'm sure...'' I said. ''Okay.. I know your day will be long and that you're bored out of your mind, but I hope you'll be looking forward in the evening.'' Hoseok said. ''I will! Now go, you'll be late!'' I said smiling. He quickly kissed me and ran outside. I watched him leave and when I was sure he was gone I started searching the room. The note with the threatening message was somewhere in my stuff, or at least I thought so. However, when I wanted to find it again this morning - I couldn't. I can't believe I've lost it! Oh no! That was evidence! I checked all of the shelves and every drawer, but in vain. Since I was making a lot of noise by going through my stuff, I didn't hear Jane coming in. She was standing at the door and observing me in confusion.
''Y/n, can I help you somehow? You look completely lost...''Jane said. ''Everything is fine, Jane.'' I said. ''I don't think so... You don't look like verything is fine.'' Jane said with an eyebrow raised. ''I can't hide anything from you.'' I said. ''Come on... Tell me what's going on.'' Jane said looking at me. ''I've lost the note with the threatening message! And what scares me the most is the fact that I forgot where I put it.... Why do I keep forgetting things? Why can't I trust myself anymore?'' I said and I'd usually start crying in such situations, but at that moment I was furious. Jane didn't say a word - she was giving me the time to calm down. She was picking up the sheets of paper and books from the floor and neatly putting them on the table. She spoke to me only when she was sure I calmed down.
''You didn't lose the note. I have that threatening message.'' Jane said. ''What do you mean you have it? That's not possible!'' I said. ''Do you remeber the night you went to the antenna?'' Jane asked me. ''Of course...'' I said. ''You came back and told me everything, and then you gave me the note to read it... However, you've never asked it back.'' Jane told me and I signed in relief. ''Oh... It's good you didn't throw away the note... It's the only evidence I have.'' I sad and Jane was hesitating, but she took the note from her purse and gave it to me. ''I don't want you to go through this again...'' Jane said. ''I'll be fine... I just wanted to confirm my doubts.'' I said. ''What doubts?'' Jane asked me. ''Take a look at this...'' I said and I opened the note and put it on the table, next to a blank piece of paper. I started writing the message over and over again, but Jane couldn't understand why I was doing it. So I gave her the pen and asked her to do the same. We compared our handwriting with the handwriting in the note and we both concluded that the message was written by a woman.
''I think you're right Y/n.'' Jane said looking at the papers. ''You see, although the message was written in a hurry, the handwriting's still neat and the letters are smaller and tilted.'' I explained. ''Yeah, it was definitely written by a woman. Do you have any idea who could it be?'' Jane asked looking at me. ''How can I know who that woman is, when I could barely remember my last name? My memories are just puzzle pieces which I'm trying to put together.'' I explained to her. ''I hope you'll find the answers soon and that they won't be ones I have in mind...'' Jane said. ''Do you have any idea at all who that woman could be?'' I asked curious. ''Yeah.... Maybe it's her fault you don't have you engagement ring anymore.'' Jane said. ''I don't know... But I'll find out! I won't let her go unpunished!'' I said brave. ''Or you can leave everything as it is now and start a new life... here with us. Please think about it Y/n.'' Jane suggested and she had to go back work so she left me alone with a heavy heart. 'Cause she knew that people think when they are alone... One thought leads to another, a small lie becomes a possible truth, and then the impossible suddenly becomes the only possible solution. At that moment, I decided to find the answers on my own. I was determined to fight my own battles.
