Chapter 3 The Sinister Plan

Terrified and injured Kumar the lion who tried but failed to spy on Kion and Rani. Yesterdays treatment really knocked the senses around him. Sending him thousands of metres away landing in a field of corn. Fracturing his upper shoulder and spraining his back paw. Trouble getting up he laid there the night. He was never told about this roar Kion had and was mad for his leader Yassain. 'Why didn't he tell me?' Lying in the cold Kumar thought what he would say about his task. He wasn't afraid of Yassain or Kion. He planned his own personal revenge. Kumar slept the night out of sight and danger.

Kion alerted Askari and Mufasa about this lion called Yassain. Mufasa heard about him but never met him. Askari knew him very well. "When he was the leader he came as a young lion seeking refuge, he became loyal until someday he turned. Everyone said it was Scar's fault but he was sent away, we thought we killed him but seems not, be careful Kion, this lion will kill you and after what we did fifty years ago he is destined to seek revenge".
Kion understood and said he can handle it, Mufasa offered to tell his father but Kion didn't what Simba to know, not yet anyways. If he can defeat scar then he can defeat Yassain. Plus Kion didn't want his father worrying he was in danger twenty four seven. Kion had all the information he needed and went back to Rani and the Day and Night Pride to alert them. Warning them. First instinct was to find out where they live and how many spies were sent here. Kion needed time to think. Rani followed Kion inside the tree to talk about what they should do. They sent both guards to patrol the borders, Day pride to patrol the grounds while the Night Pride patrol the Borders.

"YOU WHAT", Yassain yelled at his spy. " WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY SAW YOU, HOW, YOU MIST BE A FOOL TO LET THEM SEE YOU. VERY FOOLISH, NOW THEY'LL KNOW WE'RE ONTO THEM", "sorry master, I wasn't watching were I was stepping, I was too focused on Kion and his group"
" Did you say anything to them?"
" I told them that you will rise again my master",
"IDIOT, BLOODY IDIOT, HOW DARE YOU SAY MY NAME FOR THEM, NOW THEY ARE ON TO US", " sorry Yassain, I promise it won't happen again. I swear", Kumar pleaded for mercy but Yassain showed no mercy at all. " Yes... It will defiantly not happen again", Yassain smirk and swiped at Kumar's face, clawing his eye, Kumar screamed in agony as his master was killing him. Yassain showed no mercy, he didn't want another mistake. In five minutes Kumar was dead. Left in the middle of the lands they based at. He was ripped. His organs were showing and blood poured out. He wasn't surviving at all. Kumar took his last breath and spoke his final words," please", Yassain looked at the other lions and animals who joined, " THIS HERE IS A FOOL, IDIOT, COWARD AND A MISTAKE, so if you don't want to end up like him, DO NOT MAKE A MISTAKE ON YOUR TASK", Yassain walked off into his cave, cleaning himself from Kumara blood. His Plan was still in tacked, 'they know there is spy's in the Tree Of Life but they don't know how many I have, what and how and when we'll attack. My plan is too sinister',

Inside the Tree Kion and Rani talked it out, worrying about the animals safety and there's. Rani wanted to warn the animals but Kion disagreed, "we don't want to scar them to much, as long we stay focus and defend, our home is safe", Rani hoped he was right. " what about this Yassain guy, have you got a plan?","not yet, I am thinking of one, need more time", Rani assured he'll think of one soon. Makini walked in, " sorry, do I need to come back later?", " no, were finished, what's up", Makini showed the types of leaves and vines she found. Rani liked them, Kion said they'll look good. Long enough for the entrance. Makini got to work straight away. She climbed the vines in the tree and tied the ends together. Letting it drop the vines swung side to side before resting perfectly in the middle. Makini tied a second vine around the two vines, making a curtain based entrance, all they had to do was to pull back the vines to have an opening and to close it simply untie it. It looked amazing. Hidden, gave the royals privacy and hid the light and the weather from the inside. Makini placed the leaves on the rock. Layerings the rock with palm tree leaves, Makini laid it, making it as soft as possible. She tied vines in and out the gaps, basically knitting it to make it one big rug. When she was done Rani and Kion tested it. Soft and comfy. They were pleased and thanked Makini for it." No worries, I love doing art and creating stuff. I would do anything for my King and Queen. Makini bowed and left the two lions to decide on what to do.

Later that day the Night and Day Pride arrived at the Tree, informing no activity on the borders or any sign of lurking spy's in the valley. Kion wasn't surprised. But told everyone to be extra cautious as they know more then we know. Makini heard the news for the first time and was shocked. Kion assured her it'll be fine. Rani told everyone to keep calm and not alert any animals at all. " we don't want to scar them too much, keep it between us and us only", Baliyo asked about the shifts, Kion thought about it and decided to keep it the same, but all paws and hands were on deck which means Rani needed to go. Ullu went as well, Ono joined the Night Pride, need more eyes in the sky. The day Pride will do the day. Everyone got the message and headed off to get ready for the night ahead. The sun was beginning to set, a cool front blew in from the west as clouds rolled in, Rain was coming. The Night Pride knew about and was on extra caution.

Kumur's body was dumped outside their lands. In the middle of the Tree Of Life and their price, they called them selves the Force Of Fire, a name in honour of Scar. Kumar's body was covered in insects, feasting. Flies, ants and worms, along with other carnivores.
The Night Patrol was patrolling the borders, it started to rain. Drizzle at first, something caught Ullu's eyes, she alerted Ono who tried looking at the object. Rani asked what to was it. Ono couldn't make out the shape. Rani ordered them to be careful as they rushed to the object,the rain   was getting heavier and visibility was harsh. Coming up to the object Surak saw what it was. A dead lion, Rani knew who it was and announced the lion. Baliyo wanted to throw up seeing the dead body made him sick, made everyone sick. Rani knew it must be Yassain's job. His mistake. Kumar had claw marks in his body and face. Ono landed, alerting the flies as they flew off. Ono examined the dead lion and needed to tell Kion. Ono flew off to announce his death.
Kion was about to go to sleep when Ono flew in. "Hay Ono, is everyone okey?" Ono told Kion about the Lion who attacked had died. Kion wanted to see for himself as he ran to the scene.

Seeing it made Kion sick. Trying to look away he nearly did throw up. The smell and the thought of his death. Askari was right, Yassain will kill anyone. Kion had an idea but it was faint. He told everyone to head back to the tree. The Day Pride arrived as Kion told his plan, "since they are spying on us, we need to send our own in there, see how many there are, where they are and what's their plan", Rani was unsure but was assured. " we need a lion who can get up close to Yassain.  Be close to him, earn his trust, Surak surprisingly said he'll be the one. Rani and Baliyo said no but was stand down by Surak as he assured he'll be fine. " are you sure?" Even Kion was concerned. "Yes, look at me. I look like a bad guy, all I need is a cover", Rani finally agreed, " it's our only plan right now", Rani walked up to his cousin and placed her paw on his mark. "Good luck", Rani lifted off her paw as the mark of the tree disappeared. Kion told his cover story, " a lion who had a bad history, killed his parents and seek to avenge Scar as well. You come from the out lands, nephew to Zira", Surak liked his cover. " make sure you report once a day. At night, Ono will be your back up. He'll be there, eyes and ears", Ono was ready. " you'll leave tomorrow. They carried on their patrol as Kion went to sleep. A massive day ahead. A massive plan that hopefully work out.
