Chapter 19 Long Lost Memories

Glad to see their family together again, the Night Pride has it's strongest back and Baliyo has his brother back he misses dearly, Rani and the Night Pride decided to hold back the attack for a day as she took them in a walk to sort things out and be with Surak again. Kion and the troops rallied up and settled in the village, Timar and Fianna was shocked and surprised to see how many lions and animals were there at once, all ready to end this war. Kion was happy to see Surak again and apologized to him about sending him into the front line, " it's okey, it's not your fault, I was the one who offered to go in", Kion half believed it was his fault, but half knew he had to send someone in and look where they ended up, sixty percent of the war and territory was gained an won by the PPO and Tree Of Life.

Yassain is more mad and grifted then Kion and Rani, his plan was failing and he needed something new, a more evil plan, he still had the thought of Killing Kion and Rani, that's when he got an idea. What if he forced Kion to give him the roar? "Yes it would work, Rani wouldn't want to loose another lion and King so Kion will have no choice but to give up his power", his assistance Farshi mentioned that Vitani leader of the Lion Guard too has the roar of the elders, " ahh, yes, we'll capture Vitani then, we'll still force Kion to give it up and if Kion doesn't give it we'll still have the stupid leader of the lion guard", Yassian's plan was good and was immediately put into action, sending twenty troops to infiltrate the Tree Of Life and capture them both. " at the middle of night you'll attack and bring me back King Kion and Vitani, the leader of the Guard", Yassain has summoned the red brigades, the strongest of all lions in the lands. The leader was named Sidirov, a man who has no heart at all and kills with pleasure, a psychopathic animal who does things his own way, no rules and no orders apart if it's from the contractor, he has assinated many great leaders and rulers over his past twenty five years of serving Scar and now Yassain,  Sidirov's orders were to capture the two lions quietly and clean, no mistakes.

Walking by the river front, the same river Kion and the used to be guard rode down to get home to the Pride Lands, even though they don't know it they lapped at the water that wasn't there a few months ago, standing side by side the Tree Of Life's royal family walked in silence thinking about the last month and beyond, the trouble they've been in and the trauma Surak uncounted, the lost and depression Rani suffered as well as Baliyo and Surak, after loosing Janna Rani couldn't accept to loose another one of her family. Too many family members were dead, her parents, Janna and nearly Surak, even Kion was at risk dying. As queen Rani still didn't know if she deserved the role, "Rani, stop second guessing yourself, your a great queen, a great leader, look at what you've done to our lands, animals and now our nation, if it wasn't for you we'll be dead around about now", Surak tried cheering her up, " we'll if it wasn't for Kion actually", Rani couldn't have all the praise and glory, having a joke Surak mentioned the fact that she was the one who lead Kion into their family, " true, I could of told him to leave but I guess I had a feeling for him, connection and Queen Janna nagged me" giggling at the thought of Kion ending up here they brought back some lost memories," remember when we were cubs we would play hide and seek and Surak was such a try hard he will always hide in difficult places we couldn't go in?", They laughed at the memory as more memories came back in, " the haircuts we got as a cub?", " yeah, I loved that mohawks you got", Baliyo mentioned mischief Surak and Baliyo got into and then Rani and Nirmala always told them off, " like that time mum told us not to leave the valley and you ran off with Baliyo to spy on the girls?", Surak thought about it and smiled, " yeah I do, I got in deep shit then, I was grounded and you two would always walk in and make faces and leave", they shared a good laugh as sadly the bad memories flooded in, " yeah...mum, dad, I miss them so much", The others nodded as Rani looked up into the sky, she realized she hasn't talked in them for a long time and felt bad, " how would you like to see mum and dad again?" Wait? What to you mean?", Surak said that the kings and queens can talk to the elders and greats of the past," Kion is able to talk to his grandfather and Askari and I can talk to mum, dad and now janna", " sure, I want to see our parents again, it's been so long", Baliyo was exited but also still sadden about their death, killed in battle and was left to Janna, growing up they loved her and felt sorry for her, loosing her king and having to raise them all by herself, it was good to talk to them, it helps everyone, it clears things up and makes everyone happy, even the most depressed.

Kion was toured around my Timar and the village people, learning many new things and new food, things like soups and stews? Never having it before Kion enjoyed it, it was tasty and made his mouth water, it warmed his body up, the winter was getting colder and with that stew Kion felt pleased and warm, lined up lion and animal after lion and animals waiting for their share of food, the village cooks, four mandrills and baboons made more then enough for two thousand animals, cooked over what was called a fire pit, it was well contained and sitting on top was a stone bowl, so big it was the size of three male lions, carved up the the elders of the village long ago this was the main source of food in the village, smelling the food from the distance Rani heard grumbling in everyone's stomach as they smell meat, and rich flavours," it seems Timar has cooked us dinner? Let's go and eat".

It was getting close to twelve at night, an hour before they were allowed to enter the valley and take the two lions, but they were inpatient, half of Sidirov wanted to attack now, " stuff it, I want them now, it's too cold to wait around for another hour, running ahead they passed the traps and dense environment, the snow gave them extra cover. The snow beneath was powder and helped them, not a sound came when they were walking, killing sleeping post guards, left there in the cold to watch out for danger, if they do see any, there was a horn in front that is when blown signals everyone about a treat, they failed their job as six guards died in their sleep, their necks snapped, if they done their job they wouldn't of let twenty highly trained lions to enter and take what they can get. Rushing past many animals,it was dark and gave them cover and protection from any nocturnal creatures, exactly knowing were they were going they headed to the middle of the valley, they were surprised not to see anyone at all, not thinking about it they forgot about the other lions in the valley and continued through the valley towards the tree itself, from Intel The lion guard and the two Royal families sleep in there. They'll need to be quiet. Reaching the tree thy couldn't see anyone in site, their noses couldn't detect anyone at all, maybe because it was cold and their noses were frozen but looking inside the tree there wasn't anyone but a single mandrill lying asleep in the tree, they were shocked to see Makini there and was frustrated to not see Kion or Vitani anywhere at all, wanting to kill something he had a better idea, he singled for one of his team members to take out the mandrill and capture it instead, maybe she'll give more information about Kion and Vitani and whereabouts, sneaking up they didn't see a stick in the middle of the path and stepped on it. Waking up everyone froze, half asleep Makini only made out a few lions and wondered if it was Kion, " mmm Kion? Is that you", " no, no it is not", " who are you and what are you doing here?", Makini woke up and was alert, " we are here to kill you and everyone around here", Makini tried escaping but was blocked off by another, " either you tell is where Kion is or die", Makini didn't want to die, she screamed at the top of her lungs hopefully to alert anyone near by, it was too late, they knocked her out and took her to the Force Of Fire as a substitute for Kion or Vitani.
