Chapter 18 Reunited As One

Lining up in perfect formation Kion leads his troops out of the Tree Of Life, heading towards the Force Of Fire, based in the west side of South Africa, with a mind set only for victory all two thousand troops walk in the winter's cold morning, waking everyone up as footsteps can be heard all over the valley, the citizens who live here and near came to see and wish them luck, half of the animals were crying, tears made their way down to their chest as they see of their family, friend and rulers, cheers rose high above the crowd, chants of long live the king and  queen sang out over the valley, walking with pride and clear mind Kion and Rani lead their pack to war, a war which will hopefully end this madness. It took ten minutes to finally get everyone out of the valley and into the outer regions of the safari, side by side as a united kingdom they share a laugh, advice and tears as this might be the last day they get to see, smell, live the life they now risk for the greater good. The Lion Guard along side with the Day and Night Pride join the troops as they went over the plan, the arsenals checked their gear and made their way into formation, with lions surrounding them as cover so they can get in without problems, the birds flew high above as Kion and Rani walk off at an angle, heading up the cliffs and looking down to see their pride, family and friends walk to battle, " Do you think Yassain is on to us?", Rani asked the question with a worried tone," hopefully not, he shouldn't expect us, and if he does he'll be surprised, especially after fighting with King Kikau and his army, he'll be tired and out if forces, that'll be our advantage, element if surprise", " we'll be ready even if they do know",
"yes, we'll have to many and remember me and Vitani have the roar, the rest have the heart and mind that is determined and won't fail us, they'll fight and die as hero's", Rani hugs Kion as they embraced for a long time, they haven't had this sort of touching for a long time, it felt good as their fur touched each other. They held that position for a long time, too long that when the start of the formation started they let go of each other as the end of the line finished as they headed off into the western district, smiling Kion assures Rani that everything will be fine and that they'll stop the raging fire that is spreading throughout the lands, the fire being the evilness. Rani gives a small quick smile but knows that it'll all go down hill quickly if they don't get it right.

Inside the tent in the Vrede Village Surak soothes himself down with the steam, this treatment is meant to clear Surak's mind, after all the stress he's been though and wondering it was good to let it all out, the thoughts still played out as Timar was cutting his mane back, if Surak was going to be living there he'll need a new look and life, looking ten years younger Surak was happy to see himself like that, Fianna liked it as well, " you look like my age with that hair style", Surak looked into the lake and saw his reflection, he studied his mane and out of no where a memory came back, he smiled to himself and then frowned," when I was little, I had a maducy, she did my hair style and one time when I was like fourteen she gave me a hair style called a Mohawk, she said it was meant to look like a horse, I didn't like it but all my friends didn't mind", Fianna was happy to see Surak happy but asked what happened when Surak's face turned upside down," I don't know what happened but I think she died, I can't remember how or when but she was good to me, I liked her, she felt like a mum", at that moment all his memories in a child hood came back, flickering in his mind Surak was going crazy, so much to process as once, Fianna saw Surak look confused and giggled, he looked pretty dumb but cleared it out with Fianna, they went on a walk as Surak explained his past, his family and friends, he remembers how hr got here and who sent him, " are you made at Kion?", " no, it was my idea, Rani didn't approve but I had to", Panic began to rise as Surak was spitting out words in gibberish, " hang on slow down buddy, take a deep breath and talk", " I don't know if there safe or dead, I need to go back, I can't let them go, wait, what if there already dead?", Surak began to tear up as negative thoughts ran through his head, " calm down, I'm sure there fine, you said their strong? I'm sure Kion and your family is safe", Surak saw the meaning behind what Fianna is saying and obeyed her, Surak's heart beat slowed as they headed back towards the village to tell Timar, they are pretty far away from the village, just realising Surak and Fianna turned and started to walk back, talking about Yassain they walked onto another path that gave them a sort cut.

Hearing words from a far and seeing two lions in the distance Ono and Anga spot the two lions, using her eye sight Anga sees it was a male and female, if Surak didn't look fifteen Anga wouldn't of known it wasn't one of their own but for now Anga saw and heard them talking about the Tree Of Life and Yassain, to her she made out they have to be apart of Yassian's crew and swooped down and notified Kion," what are they doing so far out of their territory?", Rani gave Kion a look that asked the question of what they are going to do, " everyone, we have two hostiles up ahead, keep quiet and stay here, me Rani and the Lion Guard come with me", the army stopped and remained silent as the seven lions head towards the two lions who were casually walking home, not apart of the Force Of Fire or going to their territory, sneaking up Kion and Rani walk ahead, watching their steps and being quiet like a mouse they went from tree to tree, bush to bush and log to log, inching closer and closer to them, using eye and head gestures Kion signals Vitani to attack the female, as for Rani to attack the male, the rest will be back up once they get the jump. It'll be an easy win, seven on two. Getting ready for Kion's orders they take their stance as Surak and Fianna get closer and closer, hearing them talk about the past, rani only heard a little of it, something along the lines of killing and Rani, that shocked Rani and gave more determined to strike and kill that beast. "NOW", Rani and Vitani leap ahead out of the bushes and tackled the two lions, Kion and the guard back up as they circle the two, " no where to run", the world spun as Surak was tackled by his own cousin.  Fianna was pinned, growling Vitani kept Fianna to her spot, Rani was on top of Surak now, showing her teeth, Surak shook his head and gained his conscious, " Rani?", Rani's heart skipped a beat, she couldn't be mistaken, the voice of her cousin, " no, it can't be? SURAK?", everyone looked around and stood, glued to the spot, not knowing what to do Rani broke out in tears as she got off Surak, getting up he was tackled again by Rani, this time hugging him stuttering and crying Rani had so many questions, " How? When and how are you alive, I missed you so much, I thought you were dead?", Surak started crying as they embraced each other, Vitani got off Fianna who introduced herself, The Night Pride ran down and saw Surak and Rani hugging, " NO WAY? SURAK" Nirmala and Baliyo broke out as well as the family was once again reunited as one, " we missed you so much, how did you survive?", Surak looked in the direction of Fianna who smiled, Rani instantly ran over to Fianna and hugged her, " thank you so much, if it wasn't for you we would've lost Surak, if there is anything I can do, tell me please I owe my life to you", " no, not now, how about we head back to my village and we'll take there. Kion came into the picture as he mentioned why they were here, " I brought two thousand animals with us",
  "why?", Surak was now wondering, " were about to attack the Force Of Fire, well now that we bumped unto you, that can wait", Rani stared at Surak, she couldn't believe how he made it, half laughing and crying Rani hugged Surak again, Nirmala and Baliyo joined them as Kion and the rest watched, Kion began getting teary as he remembers the last time Rani cried, the last time it was tears of sadness, Queen Janna passing, this time it was tears of joy, Surak was Alice and well, " if it wasn't for that new hair cut I would've seen you from a mile away", Surak giggled as he gestures towards the village two thousand troops followed as they talked about the last four months, " we are ALL family here, what can we do without one another".
