Chapter 13 Invading Force Of Fire

A long night was raised ahead for the Lion Guard and PPO agents, trying to defend the lands of the jungle species, fearing the worst already the guard and agents raced against the clock to stop the closing army from Yassain. Sprinting through the dense lands the lions found it hard to gather their senses through the darkness, density and the environment, it was a good and bad thing that they were were going to fight within a thick jungle, cover and protection from any enemy and able to sneak through the lands without being seen. But also like wise for the three hundred lions facing the same ordeal. Keeping as quiet as possible the Guard and PPO made their way through the edge of the wetlands, keeping strong and aware of their surroundings they eventually made their way through the battle ground, dead animals were laid upon the ground, both the good and evil, seeing the sight of the dead corpse it made a few lions sick, wanting to throw up they held it in and carried on," hold up", Vitani was leading the troops towards the enemy defences to defend and win over them all. Vitani smelt the air, a strong smell of blood and stench. " this way", the army followed Vitani to an opening where just recently Yassian's army went through, " they might be heading for the temple, be careful of traps and the enemy","let's do this", Kasi the fastest went around the lands scoping it out for traps while Tazama the keenest of sight followed scoping for any enemy. Luckily for them she was able to spot many of them, waiting, ready to attack at any moment, silently yelling Vitani she made a bold move, she sent a quarter of their pack to each end of the temple to surround them, they carefully walked along the uneven ground and surrounded the lions who surprising didn't know of their whereabouts, on Vitani's call she called out and at that moment all hell broke loose. Fighting with one another, the lion guard having I guess super powers downed many of them, the PPO made their way through the front line, their objective is to get to the second line of defence, they'll fight them and let the Guard to roll through and finally defeat the final defence of their army, already within ten minutes one hundred animals have died fighting for their sides, Shabaha the bravest lion known fell, Vitani saw this and thought the worst, hoping she wasn't dead she rushed over, past everyone fighting and clawing each other, yelling out Vitani made it to her, with everything going on around them Vitani didn't know If she was dead or alive or just unconscious but she knew she had to get her out of there, with lions rushing all around her she tried making a plan, she picked her up and carried her out, she can feel her heart beating, slowly and in consistence. Fearing she may only have little time to save her she tried getting out if the battle front and back to the Tree Of Life. Putting her head down and running like a mad man Vitani was running out, carrying her cousin on her back she tried getting out but was stopped by a lion, leaping from metres away the lion jumped into Shabaha and dragged her down from the throat, from there the whole world spun and slowed down, it went very quick as she saw her casualty being attacked, rage came bellowing from her stomach and through her body, up towards her throat and out of her mouth, this sensation was the roar, the roar of the elders, roaring the hell out of all her enemies she destroyed half the jungle and killed many more, she was afraid of loosing her best friend and anger came from her mind, she didn't want to loose her and wanted to keep her safe with all her might, too much might, everyone stopped fighting and stared at the lion, there was two lions who can use the roar of the elders, shocked, confused and out of breath and stamina both prides stopped to see Vitani blow everyone away, Vitani told everyone to get back to battle, Vitani picked her up and carried her towards the Tree. She was lucky that lion didn't do too much damage.

Kion and Rani was asleep in the tree when Vitani came rushing down from the hill, running in she asked for the healing this place got, everyone inside was scared of the fact they were spooked, "Kiara go get Nirmala" Kiara and Kovu rushed off to find the healer of the Tree Of Life, " lay her on the rock", Vitani proceeded forward and laid Shabaha on the rock, " what happened ", Kion was looking at her injuries, nothing externally except for some bruises and scraps," we were fighting and Shabaha here got hit, I tried getting her out but a lion came around and tried finishing her but I roared them away", Simba was glad to see both of them safe, " so what about the guard and PPO?", Vitani didn't think about it and was worried," go, she'll be fine here", Nala signalled her off as Nirmala and the rest came in," do your best please"," yes, don't worry, go make us proud", Vitani headed into the opposite direction as Nirmala walked in and saw the unconscious lion, she hoped onto the rock and laid down, she took a deep breath, prayed and put her left paw onto the old brown roots of the tree, she closed her eyes, a light yellow glow formed from the paw and escaped onto the tree, it started to spread and soon enough the whole tree was alight, it was so bright it could of been seen from anywhere, Yassain would've seen it as well as all the sleeping animals within and around, Vitani was running up the when she saw the glowing tree, " Come on Shabaha, your the bravest I know, stay alive for me", she ran off to fight what she started. They already made it passed the second line of defence as they headed towards the final kill, the last line of defence, more animals were killed, corpse of all kind was all over the ground. The fight wasn't easy but they got it done, killing a hundred of them, half of them left, fled, cowards is what they were, they were out played and out numbered but the same could go for them, loosing sixty nine lions and lioness, fighting for territory and rights.

Back at the tree Nirmala finished healing Shabaha, still unconscious everyone was on edge, hoping she'll make it, they couldn't loose another one, another one that was close to them, as family and friend.
"she'll be fine, she is stable but still unconscious, she needs rest and would be out for two weeks", a sigh of relief came from the family as Rani said that she can stay there on the rock, Kion and Rani agreed to sleep on the floor for tonight, everyone went back to sleep but not Kion, " hay Rani, can we talk?", " sure, what is it", they headed out of the tree and up a hill, sitting on the ground, condensation started to form as the early morning was drawing,
"I think it's time for us to stop defending and make a stand, we need to sound and look strong and not week"," so what is your plan then?", " instead of Yassain attacking us at all angles and failing, we should attack them, test their defences and maybe kill Yassain"," hmm, yeah, but we need a plan, troops and strength mentally and physically"," of course, my plan was going to be like when we defeated Scar, we had everyone around us hold off the front line while me and the guard went through untouched and into the volcano, maybe we can do it this time again?",
"sounds like a plan", " yeah, since me and Vitani had the roar we can use it to defeat them", Rani was getting exited and happy,
"That'll work, when will we attack, make our strike?", " soon, we need to make sure our numbers are strong and loaded, we need to train some and recruit",

"Well if Yassain sends his own instead of fighting himself, then we know he is a coward, we will win this WAR and live life of peace", " bring it on".
