Chapter 25 The Mythic Glow

The kingdom animals and all around gathered at the Tree Of Life to see their king, there was no cheering nor celebrations, this was the day that they cried, a day to remember. Kion was carried back by Besthe with Rani next to him and Simba on the other, they traveled in silence as they prayed that Kion could be saved in time and here he is inside their home. Nirmala and Makini firstly tried removing the spear that first feared everyone. Rafiki heard about what happened to Kion and rushed over. Carefully with blood all over their hands they worked to get it out.
Some time later they managed to pull out the six inch wood chip, Nirmala looked inside the wound and from the looks of it the spear went though his liver, Rani saw the look on Nirmala's face and knew the worst is yet to come,
"what is it?", tears began flowing again,"the spear went deep and due to the depth of it Kion has lost lots of blood and the spear pieced through his liver", Rani's cries grew louder, she turned and walked out, she didn't know what to do, Nala walked forward and like all mothers she asked if she can do anything, " Kion is barley breathing, he needs blood if he is to stay alive", " how long does he have?", The fear in her voice showed Nirmala that she wants her son to get help, Nirmala couldn't lie and studying his wounds Nirmala made an estimation, " around an hour maybe two?", Simba stepped forward and asked if someone could supply him with blood? Nirmala thought about it and Rafiki looked up and said it was possible, " YES, YES, IT WOULD WORK, BUT WE NEED SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING TO DONATE THEIR BLOOD TO KION", overjoyed Rafiki sent Makini to get some ingredients and resources in order to do this,
"Kion also needs a new liver", Nirmala hated everything she said but it was true, if Kion didn't get a new liver and blood supply Kion will be dead soon. The room went silent as they thought about it, the silent broke and Nirmala said that it has to be blood related for someone to give their blood to Kion", " I'll do it", everyone looked up to see Simba offering his blood to his son, "alright we need to pump some of your blood out", Simba gulped and was guided onto the rock where Rafiki jabbed a thorn into Simba, it was a drug that knocked anyone out within a minute, Simba fell asleep as Rafiki got to work.

Outside Rani was upset, she couldn't loose Kion, walking past the animals they let her past with worried looks on their faces, she needed time to think and so Rani made her way to the plains just past the farms, on the hill she sat and thought about the future.
" Rani?",
Rani looked around but no one was there, she looked up and there was her grandmother.
" Grandmother?",
Chocking on her tears she tried clearing herself up and remain calm,
" what's wrong darling, you seem upset",
" it's Kion Grandmother, he was fighting and got stabbed, now I fear he is going to die",
Rani broke out again and like always Janna was there to comfort her.
" Kion has the heat of steel, he is strong and I'm sure he'll pull through, Rani don't worry to much, I'm sure Nirmala and Rafiki is doing everything they can to help Kion",
" what if he does die? I don't want to loose Kion, not after loosing you",
"My dear dear grand daughter, you never lost me, I'm always with you, Kion will always be with you",
Thinking about it Rani took a deep breath in and let all her fears, thoughts out into the mid morning air.
" I'm so proud of you, I see you won the war"
Trying to change the subject Rani just went with it.
"Yes, Kion defeated him with the roar it was a long battle",
"And that's why I say the roar is destined to return, if Kion didn't come here, Yassain would of done anything he can to destroy our home and everyone around",
" I just wish there was a way for Kion to be healed faster",
"Listen my darling, there is something I've been keeping from you and everyone else, but it was to keep them safe"
Queen Janna was hesitant but she had to say it, for Kion's sake.
" what are you talking about, to keep who's safe?",
" remember when I said that we are the only surviving Tree Of Life?",
"Yes, why you telling me this"
"Because there is is one more, far far away there was once a Tree Of Life, hidden, I don't know if it's still there but when all the other Tree Of Life's got destroyed, that one went into hiding, that is the Tree Of Life that holds the power, the source of the healings it gives to our tree. There lays another queen who has the power to heal everyone and everything, she is like mother nature but is much kinder then the weather we have",
" so there is another tree of life? Another healer?",
" there are many, if they aren't destroyed then maybe, just maybe they'll be able to help our king",
" tell me, where are they",
Rani was happy, she was rushed and needed to know where they are.
"Follow the horizon, at the end of it you'll find what they call the Mythic Glow, it is bright and you'll not miss it, tell them that I sent you",
" thank you grandmother",
Rani was about to take off when she was stopped.
" Rani, take Surak with you and a few others, just to be safe",
Rani ran off with tears of joy, sprinting through the tall golden grasses Rani hoped she can save Kion in time.

Inside Rafiki managed to pump out enough blood to keep Kion alive, " he is alright for now, with bandages around the wound Nirmala said Kion has now a few days before his organs shut down, " why can't we just operate now?", Kiara was worried and wanted Kion to be better now.
"Because Kion needs the blood right now, plus we still haven't got anyone to donate their liver", Ono once again gave his knowledge. " Kion will survive for now, but we only have a few days, for now he needs to rest".
" don't worry, our king isn't going to die". They walked out, animals were waiting forever for good or bad news and some decided to sleep in the warm sun. Hearing the footsteps they woke and waited for what they had to say. Just like when Queen Janna passed away Makini stood strong and told the public, " Tree Of Life, Pride Landers, everyone who is here today, the news of Kion is still strong but it's okey, Kion will live on", Sighs of relief came from the crowd as those who stood on the rock looked at each other, they knew they lied to them but they needed to, the animals needed to remain strong.

" EVERYONE EVERYONE",
Everyone turned around and saw the queen of the valley running up, they bowed and acknowledged her presence.
"There is a way for Kion to live, far away lays another Tree Of Life, the mother of all life in the trees", Silence dropped, " I thought were the only ones left", Baliyo spoke and was confused,
"No, I spoke to grandmother and she says that if we follow the horizon it lays the the Mythic Glow", " The Mythic Glow? I've heard about it, I  just thought it was a myth? Like the roar of the elders. They have the power to heal anyone and bring anyone back from the dead, I hear they went into hiding when Scar was around", Surak was now curios,
"No...It is true", Rafiki blurted everything, the past of the Tree Of Life and what would happen if that was  destroyed. Rani joined Simba on the rock and looked at her kingdom, past them and locked onto the horizon, looking back down Rani as queen spoke her words." Kion needs our help, as queen of the Tree Of Life I destined to help our king", everyone cheered,
"LONG LIVE THE KING, LONG LIVE THE KING", chants rang out over the valley as Rani gathered Surak, Fuli and Jaseri. Anga joined to help them look for it, it was a job for the females but Surak was there to help them in case they needed to fight. The males had their full support as Rani and the others set out on a journey to find the Mythic Glow.
