Chapter 5 Pride Protection Organization

Meeting with Yassain yesterday didn't go that bad after all. In the time space of six hours he was earned fifty percent of his trust. Yassain saw the lion Surak was. In his cover Yassain saw that he wanted in with their plan, attack. But for the time being Surak was recovering from his injuries that was purposely done by his king Kion. It was for his cover and it worked. He fooled everyone, even their leader was stupid enough to fall for Surak's cover. It was the next day and all seemed calm. Surak woke in his corner of Yassian's cave. Surak was bandaged up with leaves and vines. Still wasn't a hundred percent, hard to walk and breathing was a little tuff, his ribs pressured his lungs each time he breathed hard. His recovery should be till next week. Yassain had plans for him, with him. Surak was interested and wanted in as well. Surak asked what's the plan but was turned down as Yassain suggest that he should recover before they plan anything. "Buy I will tell you that my plan is sinister and they'll never see it coming, deep down Surak was worried as hell. Wanting to know all about it so he can warn Kion and Rani. But of course he couldn't show that, he'll blow his cover so instead Surak smiled and had an expression that showed cheekiness and evil. As if a plan was made. Yassain smiled back and left to sort out the rest if the pack.

Kion and Rani made their way to King Kikau's pride, the national meeting was taking place, this gave the opportunity to once again see Simba and Nala, Vitani might also be there too. They need to address the  situation with Surak and this Yassain. All leaders from every corner to pride in Africa made their journey to the PPO, The special secret meeting was placed twice a year. One in July and another in November. Being the youngest Pride to join the PPO Kion and Rani had to listen and work well to organize with other prides. Not knowing about what other prides have to say Rani was the one who makes the orders and request, Kion just supports her.
Getting close to Sifu Falls Kion and Rani met up with other leaders, leaders from the Snow district, dessert and jungle district. All here to talk about any threats and ideas. Talk about what the future will look like. Coming close to the water fall Kion saw Forrest and water. Nothing, just rain forest type trees and plants. Kion wondered where is the meeting taking place until his thoughts were answered. A couple from Youboli Pride from the east litery walked right into the waterfall. Kion smiled as he knew it was hidden in plain sight. Behind the rushing water was a three hundred long tunnel that lead to an open cave deep into the mountain. Although they had to get wet Kion liked where it was. King Kikau greeted them as they walked past. It was Kion and Rani's turn, they walked in, getting wet all over, smiling to each other the two leaders of the Tree Of Life walked ahead, shook off the water and waited in an open planned area with many other animals. Not just lions, but tigers, monkeys, birds and many more leaders. Time passed as Kion and Rani met up with everyone. Everyone was exited to see Kion. Some animals never heard of him and some thought he was a myth. A legend. Kion laughed them out as he told story after story. "Mum, Dad" Kion rushed over to his parents as they embraced each other," so good to see you again", Rani followed, " where is Vitani?", " oh she decided to stay back", Kion understood as they asked how everyone was doing. Simba and Nala asked how was everything was doing with being King and Queen. Kion was unease and so was about to explain everything truthfully until Kikau interrupted, "May I Please have your attention, As we know this is our annual yearly PPO meeting, I would like to welcome those who travels here to talk about our lands. Sadly some of us aren't here today but we shall manage", Kikau introduced Kion into their pride, one big family. Simba and Nala sat down next to Kion with Rani next to him. Time passed as other leaders talked about the up's and downs of their prides and guards. It was Rani's turn to speak." Sadly we have some bad news, as of a few weeks ago we've been getting un invited guest, some are spying on us. We believe that someone is wanting to attack", Gasp and chatter came from the Crowed,
" silence", Kikau allowed Rani to proceed, " A lion who is now dead attacked us, were fine but before he left he mentioned a name called Yassain", " yes we know him", Kikau was now more interested and worried, Simba and Nala was too, " we have a plan though, two days ago we sent one of our own in to spy and gather Intel of their plan. So far nothing, Surak our strongest for the Night Pride was sent in with Ono", Kion explained it all as chatter rose high again. Everyone settled down as Kikau told everyone to be on high alert. More news rose from other leaders as they had the Tree Of Life backed up. After the meeting Simba pulled Kion to a side and asked about the danger he is in. Kion assured he was safe and fine with it. Simba offered to stay and help but was stood down, " we can handle it dad. No worries. Go home, don't worry, we'll send Anga if we need help" Simba sighed and said he was growing up and needed his own responsibilities. Kion thanked him and hugged him. They all had lunch together, all six hundred of them. The meeting was over, it was six o clock when Rani and Kion left. Heading home they talked about the dangers and plans they should have. Kion assured Rani they can handle it. Rani wondered about Surak. At the same time Ono flew down and gave the report to Kion. " all seems clear. Surak is maintaining his cover and is making new friends. " thanks Ono, go have dinner now, get some rest", Ono flew off to find Anga. Kion and Rani was full from lunch and just decided to get some rest. It was nine thirty and Makini came in to close the vines. It was warm for an autumn night. Resting side by side all worries flew away as Kion knew he had everyone's support. If a war broke out they'll win easily.

Surak had dinner with Kimala and Yassain. He was spending a lot of time with Surak. Still not knowing the plan Surak decided to keep it quiet for now. They had ox for dinner. Surak wondered about how Rani and everyone is holding up. He overheard some lions leaving to see what is happening over there. He was worried when he realized it was the annual meeting of the PPO. Hoping everyone was safe Surak fell asleep dreaming about what he interpret Yassian's sinister plan. There was fire, storms, he saw Yassain himself killing everyone he loved, then himself killing Rani, his cousin. Surak was sweating, getting unease as his nightmare was worse, Rani screamed as Surak killed her, Surak woke up. Breathing heavily, it hurts but his mind was filled with thoughts of uncertainty. 'what if I join them for real?', 'if I turn my back on the Tree Of Life?' 'If my cover is blown or I get too attached', 'no, I need to focus, as long as I don't get too deep I won't end up like scar', Surak went back to sleep as this time dreaming about when he was little. Trying to figure out the message.
