it's night time , and usually suyeon doesn't do anything because she spent her time studying at school instead of at home , so the night time is her free time. she just laying on her bed , staring at the ceiling , the peaceful environment broke when doyoung decided to crashed into her room.
"can you knock what the heck doyoung!" suyeon sat up , genuinely being shocked.
"this is my house as well , i don't knock." doyoung said as he raised his eyebrows , just to make suyeon annoyed.
"what do you want?" she glared at her brother.
"can you get me some snacks?" he asked as he started to make cute face to please suyeon. but for sure , suyeon is not pleased at all.
"you have hands , you have legs , go by yourself." suyeon said as she walked to the door , getting ready to chase her brother out.
"go and do your brother a favor , suyeon. he's busy." their mom said as she passed by while smiling.
did they planned this ? that's what suyeon thought.
"you heard her." doyoung smirked and left.
suyeon trying to calm down and she's glad she's sane enough , if not she probably had kill her own brother.
she couldn't understand her brother , usually he's strict about going out on night time. but now he asked her to do so. suyeon grabbed her jacket and get ready to get out.
"you better pay me back." suyeon warned before she walked out.
"of course." doyoung said and winked , making suyeon rolled her eyes.
she put her hands in her jacket's pocket. she looked up to the sky , there's stars and suddenly she felt lonely to walk alone like this.
"kim doyoung , seriously." she mumbled and sighed.
she walked to the store , picked things and finally bought it.
she mostly bought her favourites because it's her money anyways.
she also bought a lot of doyoung favourites because she don't want to hear doyoung nag and because she can demand for a pay back from doyoung.
"thank you." she said as she paid while smiling to the cashier.
the cashier smiled back and she walked out.
on the way back , she did the same , she looked up. she really enjoys stargazing , it's one of her favourite activities to do as a child. most of it , she did it with yangyang.
she walked past the playground and she saw a glimpse of someone sitting there alone in the dark , it was creepy.
she squinted her eyes to look who on earth doing that in this hour. she was taken aback as she saw renjun.
as much as she don't really want to see him , she's curious as well. she gained her courage to walk to renjun.
"um..what are you doing here?" she asked as she get closer to him.
renjun looked up and shocked to see suyeon. his eyes is filled with tears. no , he's crying.
"renjun? what's wrong?" suyeon asked , full of concern.
renjun quickly wiped his tears.
"nothing." he said , it's kinda hard to hear him , his voice is hoarse.
"impossible it's nothing." suyeon said , still staring at renjun.
"you can tell me. i'll be your listener. i'll be the one if you want me to. so , tell me." suyeon said , she's visibly concerned and that warmed renjun's heart.
"are you sure you want to listen to me?" renjun asked.
suyeon nodded.
"you don't have to." renjun said as he looked down.
"this has something to do with you , i don't want you to think about my problem. you probably have your own things to care." renjun said , the corner of his lips lifted but a sad smile.
"i've heard about it. yangyang likes you , right? are you still thinking about it? you shouldn't hesitate much. he's a good guy." renjun said again.
"renjun please , this isn't about me , nor yangyang. i'm here with you , my focus is you." suyeon said. renjun is pleased to hear that.
"i don't want to share , you said you don't need another yangyang. you only talk stuff like this with yangyang and hyeri , right?" renjun said as he looked to suyeon.
"you don't have to be another yangyang. i want you to be huang renjun." suyeon said as she stared at him , ignoring her unusual heartbeat rhythm.
"suyeon , what do you think about me? don't you think i'm pitiful?"
"why would i think so? you're not pitiful , you can open up with me , renjun."
"suyeon , do you like me?" renjun asked , making suyeon taken aback.
"w-what? what are you talking about now?" suyeon said as she avoided eye contact.
"your heartbeat is too loud." renjun said and suyeon gasped.
"liar! you can't hear it!" suyeon said and renjun smiled at her reaction. of course he didn't hear it , but her blushed cheeks made renjun want to tease her. her presence really helped with his mood.
"i like you. suyeon."
it's like the time is stopped , suyeon and renjun stared at each other.
it finally hits suyeon and she stood up.
"wait , no way." she said.
"what do you mean..-"
"no , you're lying. it cant be. wait a second , ah whatever!" she said before she ran off.
"suyeon!" renjun called for her as he chase her. he don't want to be a coward for letting her go again.
"suyeon stop running away from me! you did this as well that time!" renjun shouted.
"suyeon careful!" as he said that , suyeon already tripped off , renjun sighed knowing that would happen.
he ran to get suyeon.
"you're so stubborn. i told you to stop." renjun sighed as he shook his head.
"how can i stop , i'm embarrassed." suyeon avoided eye contact.
"so why did you run away? this is more embarrassing." renjun said as he looked at suyeon's ankle. she had injured her ankle.
"ouch. don't touch that." she winced in pain.
"get on me , i'll carry you." renjun said.
"ah i'm embarrassed!" she covered her face with her hands.
"think about it later. now , get on me." renjun said and suyeon obeyed because she had no way.
"we'll stop at pharmacy first. i can't send you back home injured like this." he said as he fixed suyeon's position.
"you don't..-"
"i want to." he cut her off.
suyeon shut her mouth.
"so , why you said i'm lying?" renjun asked.
"i can't believe you actually like someone like me."
"someone like you? like what?"
"i don't know. you see , i don't have a charm , unlike you."
"you are charming suyeon." renjun said as he giggled.
"thank you , i guess." suyeon said awkwardly.
"so , do you like me or not?" renjun asked as he realised he didn't get any response yet.
"i do." she said softly , renjun barely hear it but he heard it and his lips formed a smile.
"thank you." renjun said , he's relieved.
