"suyeon ! suyeon ! suyeon !" hyeri's voice echoed all over the hallway.
i turned around to see her , running towards me.
"what is it? you're embarrassing me." i said to her.
"did you see it?" she asked.
"see what?" i asked in confusion.
she hurriedly took her phone out from her pocket and trying to show me something.
"this ! this !" she exclaimed as she showed me a photo of a guy and a girl together which the identities are unknown.
"so ? what about it?" i asked again , couldn't understand what she trying to deliver.
"someone is claiming it was you and huang renjun." hyeri said.
"huh? huang renjun as in the huang renjun from the next class?" i asked and she nodded.
"wait , what?! how? and why? why would it be me and him? i never talk to him?" i said , feeling unfair.
she shrugged.
"hey it's the girl right?"
"why would renjun be with someone like her?"
"who's that?"
i starting to hear people whispering. and it's about me.
"i think the best way is to talk about this with him." hyeri said.
"ah nevermind , it's a groundless rumors after all, let's just go back to the class." i said , trying to be cool.
"it's not the problem over here , i'm scared if renjun's fans might do something to you." hyeri said.
"he got fans?" i asked , amazed at that fact. hyeri nodded.
"oh well , the worst case scenario probably they end up killing me , it's fine." i said as i laughed it off.
"oh my, kim suyeon! it's not the time to joke around like that!" hyeri scolded.
"it's not a big deal." i said again.
we both returned to our class.
i'm trying to distract myself by listening to music. thank god my classmate aren't the fussy type. maybe less than half but i'm glad they didn't say anything about it.
"hey." someone pulled off my earphones.
"excuse me? what are you doing?" i asked as i looked up at the three boys standing in front of my table. i'm only familiar with one of them , na jaemin.
"you are kim suyeon right?" one of them said.
"yeah. what about it?"
"so this is the famous girl that got famous after using our friend's name for clout?" one of them asked.
ah , at this point i know that it's related to that huang renjun.
"excuse me but what? i think you get things wrong here. i'm a victim as well here." i said , trying to stand for myself. come on , i got accused for something that i didn't do. i'm a victim.
"oh really? how can we believe you with that?" one of them asked.
"jaemin , jeno and jisung! can you guys stop bothering my friend ? she has nothing to do with this." hyeri came to us.
"what the? hyeri , she's your friend?" her cousin , na jaemin asked.
"see , you have zero interest in me to the point you don't know who's my friend." hyeri said.
"by the way , we would like to see you after school." jaemin said again.
"for what? why would you..-"
"shut up na hyeri , this is not your business." jaemin cut his cousin off.
"okay fine. where? i would like to see this huang renjun as well. this is hurting my pride , being accused like this." i said.
"at music room 3. after school , get it?" the tall one whispered in my ears , giving chills in my spine.
three of them walked out.
"suyeon , should i go with you?" hyeri asked.
"will it be okay for you?" i asked.
"why not? i will go with you." she said again.
"thanks." i said as i smiled.
i was pretty much cool about it since it just a groundless rumors but the fact that guy's friends came here and making fuss here made me lose my cool.
time goes by slower than i thought. my day went , not so well with people whispering everywhere. how famous this huang renjun is?
before going to the music room , i decided to get my stuff that i need from my locker.
"hey kim suyeon!" my brother greeted out of nowhere.
"you want to talk about that too right?" i rolled my eyes as i sighed.
"you're famous now. what happened?" he asked.
"i have no idea." i said.
"but how funny , out all of the people it's huang renjun. if it was jungwoo , people might be cool with it. but this is huang renjun we're talking about." he said.
"where did jungwoo come from? why you bringing him up?" i asked , confused.
"well , people don't really care about jungwoo. if it was jungwoo , we can keep it in control. plus , you and jungwoo kinda cute together." he added.
"how many times i need to warn you don't try to pair me with him?" i said as i hit him with my books.
"ahhh why did you use books?" he whined.
"jungwoo is a good older brother for me. i can't see myself being a couple with him. please stop with your imagination." i said.
doyoung started following my sentences , mocking me. he really deserves a beating.
"ah why hyeri is taking so much time?" i said.
"do you need to go somewhere?" he asked.
"huang renjun's friends asked me to meet them." i said.
"what? what if they actually interested in you?" he fake gasped.
"are you writing a novel?" i said , uninterested.
"i actually want to walk with you , should i go with you? so that i can protect you." he said.
"oh no thanks. hyeri will be with me. maybe we can walk together next time." i refused.
"okay then. there hyeri is. i'll get going first." he said as he ruffled my hair.
"bye!" i said as i waved at him.
"sorry that i'm late , mrs kim scolded me for submitting the assignment late." hyeri said as she trying to catch her breath.
"you kinda deserve that , you know?" i said as i shook my head.
she giggled.
"let's go." i said and she nodded.
